Labello was a "problem", so they took it away and lock it before they let me to a museum exibition in Munich - never had it before, and I am in the museums all the time.

It's raining half the time in summer, freezing the rest of the year, it's very expensive, the S Bahn system is always in construction but they don't care because they love their cars sooo much, the subway is overcrowded all the time even outside of rush hour, the food is terrible unless you like pork, bier and vegan, people are rude, not friendly, most aren't even german, big tips are expected everywhere because they don't pay their workers enough. Basically a good city if you're a car engineer who likes football or a lgbtq vegan student who likes bier. Otherwise don't bother.

The sound of the trams and street musicians in Munich is unforgettable 🎶 It’s like the city has its own soundtrack.

Been in Munich in December for the Christmas fairs. Just beautiful in marienplatz. However it was well below freezing and there was 300mm of snow, and getting there in the car a challenge. Done the Oktoberfest twice now. Brilliant experience.. should be on bucket list. I have been to Munich many times and it is a wonderful vibrant city. One of my favourite European cities along with Barcelona.

First of all, 80 % of the people who live in Munich are not even Bavarians any more. Secondly, the fact that many of them, having no roots in the area, wear the customary "Tracht" always struck me as odd bordering on the inappropriate. Also, the Oktoberfest has long ceased to be anything authentic or fun for that matter as it is being reduced to a mass tourist attraction like frigging Disney World in the US.
While I lived in Munich I went to the Oktoberfest once, and in my opinion that is all the experience you need. Unless you prefer a large number of tourists descending on the city during a certain period of time, crowding your space and who you find, quite often, relieving themselves in public, often in entryways of houses.
Real travelers don't go to Munich for this rather perverted spectacle, but when there are comparitively fewer people in town and you can take your time exploring all the traditions the still exist. Like going to a beergarden bringing your own food or enjoying a traditional Weißwurst breakfast with a Bretzel and a "Halbe" (large beer).

Sehr schwach!
