Sounds like a bit of a disaster trip in the end mate, hope the next one turns out a bit better. Little tip, make sure you're at the ferry terminal an hour before it's heading out. Just sayin'.

Island Time is a real thing…when I moved here 20 years ago, it took some getting used to but now I fully embrace the concept…great video ❤

@sledgehammersarkVery enjoyable video, calm informative narration with some stunning photography and good insights that I will use on our trip from UK next year, thank you for sharing.
@davidryder8431I think this is so far my favorite video about Vancouver Island tours.
@AwenGAOWhat a lovely trip and a well-done video!
I would say that by leaving the Island at night you missed out on some amazing views through Active Pass on your way home, but you definitely did Island Time right.
Awesome trip!
@jasonwidegren3211Great video, thanks much! I appreciate that you didn’t rush through it, and you calmly narrated your adventures. The peaceful vibe matches the destination!
@juliemoraes5937great views. new subscriber.
@stevemakeithappenvideosI might've missed it in the video but what time of the year did you go?

@marianfrances4959Beautiful footage and narration. Thanks! 😊
@jl-kb4kpWhat an awesome video! Super informative and your calm voice and narration definitely kept me glued till the end. Got one question though, how did you get to those search results on the spots to check out? Thanks so much, looking forward to my Vancouver island road trip as well this September.
@chhsbunloI love your Asian road trip, include me next time. I'm a China man too.
@BLAZINGGSWARMBeautiful island! We just returned last weekend for a 5-day Vancouver trip, too much to see too little time. Didn't make to the Victory, will definitely see you next trip, Vancouver Island!
@KimLee-ki7pvBeautiful island, we just returned last weekend from Vancouver as well for a 5-day trip, too little time too much to see... didn't make to the Victory, definitely do the next visit, Vancouver Island!
@KimLee-ki7pvThanks for such a great video! Totally agree about the voice...very calm and relaxing to listen to. Must be all that island time. :)
We are heading out to Vancouver and Vancouver Island in August....have been there a few times. When leaving Tofino I was planning to go back to Nanaimo and then to Malahat but I hadnt thought of crossing through to Port Renfrew and coming back along the coast. We were in Sooke last year and loved it. You may have changed my plans!!! Thanks again, glad you had a great experience.
Man there is so much more to Vancouver island than tofino and renfrew.
@CballinBeautiful video. Thank you for sharing.
@KhurshidsChannelEnjoying your video , informative and real how your days unfolded.
@TeresaSmyth-z9mNice place, good video friend.
@JorgeHernanArcilaAThanks for the video that is very much enjoyed.
3:00 mark: You faked-me out with this scene sequence, where I was sure you were headed to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal (crossing Lions Gate Bridge & driving through Stanley Park), but then you were at Horseshoe Bay terminal instead.
6:56 mark: The Tacofino lineup probably has more Instagrammers per-capita than any other piece of land on Vancouver Island, LOL. :)
I enjoy these types of videos as I compare what people do in a compressed visit, to what I've done in my 55+ years on Vancouver Island. Probably the main difference as a resident is the ability to travel more slowly and in the quieter times of the year. But your video, and others like it, inspire me to consider that various places where you made effort to see in your short visit, but I still haven't seen myself. For me, that is places like Botanical Beach and that Waterfall Cave near Sombrio Beach. Thanks again for your work.
This was excellent! I liked how you put your location in the lower left corner. As well your map referring to your trip was great! It's really nice to have tips, distance (& time) and locations. I can't believe you had so few likes. Safe and Wonderful journeys!
@roadtripmitchYou did a phenomenal job with this video! Your voice is the perfect ASMR overlay and the music choice was great.
Love seeing content from your channel. Safe travels and hope to see more!!
Amazing video and super informative! We will for sure check out some of these places next time we’re in Vancouver!
@allysonyang1821Great video, I’m in Vancouver now and all these suggestions were great for our trip. Just finished surfing and grabbed those tacos from Tacofino and they were bomb!
@kasualkillerholy crap this was amazing
@piercemoralesIm actually about to go to Vancouver in a week and wow this video helped me so much in regards what to expect.
Great shots too!!! I have a drone as well but i dont think im able to take the shots you took.
Will be expecting more videos!!!
The hike kicked my ass, but it was totally worth it. Vancouver and Vancouver Island was such a fun trip and I can't wait to go on more adventures with you and look back on them through your videos :) Keep up the great work boo!
@kimluh1932I had to stop the video and tell you you exceeded my expectations of being the narrator. Your voice was relatively calm, with a tone of confidence.
I appreciate the narration. I liked that you and your friends climbed the mountain on the outskirts of Vancouver. I am sorry that you guys missed the ferry. I love Tacofino as there are Tacofinos in Victoria and Vancouver.
As you mentioned, Sooke Potholes was my go-to spot when I resided in Victoria in my early 20s. You are right about Island Time. To me, Island time means slowing down and smelling the salty air.
Lastly, subscribed.
Island timeeee
