@bobbytay167The problem with Trump is he's talking about deals and honour through the lens of Western ideals and culture. Iran doesn't care about any of this because they operate under a completely different culture with values and rules that are in effect alien when compared to the West. In addition, the regime subscribes to a foreign religion that they value more than their own lives. Sometimes in war, negotiation is impossible and the only solution is give up or continue the war until the enemy no longer exists. That's what the Iranians will be thinking and it's what the US should think also. The only other thing the West can do is stop using the straight of Hormuz and find an alternative shipping route.

Let's not forget Trump ripped up the JCPOA agreement because it was achieved by an African American President. Yes the first African American President and if that wasn't enough, Obama was intelligent, as well as competent and popular. The JCPOA was worked on by dedicated seasoned professionals who took 20 months to negotiate without the 2 years of backchannel negotiations to establish foundational ties and pave the way for talks to take place.
And Donald in his deep wisdom just tore it up because Obama had helped bring the talks to a successful conclusion.
