25:19 Whaaaaaaaaaaaa?????????????? Did they really have to make that steam engine like that and not just make it have THAT much steam?

@barbaralynnrollins8308

0:43. Was that a deer screech, a cardinal, or a weird train horn? It would make no sense for it to be a train horn.

There are still many fools. They argue that it is more economical to compensate for the cost of damaging the barrier, and that the recovery costs for a train derailment are incredibly expensive.

Very nice captivating overview. Did you know that in Paris a metro line runs on rubber wheels, which run under and on the side of the train in a concrete trough?

Anyone else find it weird to have a market right on the train tracks? Please, someone tell me why they do this. I've always thought it to be a strange place to put up a market.

The narration is unnessesary.... Let us hear the trains. We know what it looks like. Do somthing amazing--- stop the talk and let us listen.

I liked the US freight train winding around a mountain - 15,000 feet long. It would take almost 6 minutes for it to pass at 30 mph. Such huge trains usually have locomotives in the middle and/or rear controlled from the locomotive at the front. This increases its ability to pull up a gradient, improves braking on the downhill run and the additional traction reduces the risk of a derailment. All the energy requirement is to accelerate at the beginning and slow down at the end. The energy required to maintain speed is tiny - wonderfully efficient form of bulk transport.

Trains don't have brakes like bicycles, so why are people being so careless?
