One topic I would love to hear is the relation between xK monitors and laptop capabilities to display at xK.
If I have a 32 inch at 8k what is the minimum requirement from my laptop graphic card (as laptop usually comes with poor graphics cards).

I think you got the R rating for the curved monitors mixed up. The R is the radius of the curve. The lower the number, the more aggressive the curve is.

4k 32 inches glossy tandem wolem with rbg stripes, over 240hz refresh rate, i dont care about dual mode, tb500
@1088lolso which is best lol
@TheCrazykelly63Just built a new machine with a 45GX950A-B OLED monitor and I have to say. The monitor was as big of an upgrade as the 5080 and 285k I put in there. I'm constantly blown away every time I play a game with how good this looks and feels
@sinyk81152026: I can buy a really nice monitor, but I can't afford ram or a graphics card.
@StinkyMileyThanks, Jay for this video. I hope to see more monitor videos that relate to what type of gaming someone does. For example I don’t plan on playing much online games on PC. I just want action RPG‘s to look as good as they can and have a wow factor to the world design found in those games. I think that means single player gamers care about a slightly different set of features and abilities than online gamers
@PachomianKoinoniaJay can you please do review of the new 37" curved monitors? I do not understand why no one has yet!
@afireinaleo1771The OLED prices are still bonkers. Some of the 27” 1440p monitors cost almost as much as my 65” 4K OLED TV 😅
@marcushillerstrom2534 Inch UltraGear™ OLED WQHD 240Hz 0.03ms G-Sync Compatible 800R Curved Gaming Monitor with webOS - will this be a good monitor?
@excdalmt7807Me with a 1440p VA monitor paired with my RTX 4090
@SPIShestethats why i buy zowie monitors only and know its the best in terms of motion blur clarity but with bad colours and im ok
@lunatikhd6304It’s funny bc I work in the natural gas industry. Union proud for over 12 years and in our field IPS stands for iron pipe size so that panel spec always trips me out 😂
@Trey-v2zIs a gaming monitor the best option to get for video editing in DaVinci Resolve?
@wtpwtpI remember when flat panels first came out and the suggested minimum spec for gaming was 25 mhz and the top end was was only 35 mhz so the 25's were expensive..! Back in the day...
@borgkubeFor a single monitor setup for gaming. Who cares about off angle viewing. You should be sitting right square in front of it..?
@borgkubeAs a tech challenged fellow, this all still leaves me scratching my head. I am just about to switch to a monitor for my pc, which uses a 3080 gpu, after relying up till now on a tv running at 60 htz. But I have no idea what I want or where to start. This should be a fun choice, but the danger of choosing the wrong thing is turning it into a frustrating experience sadly. :(
@greybadger3142For me sweet spot is 120hz 1ms IPS, i got g24f2 but it broke(horizontal lines on the screen) nad now i bought samsung odyssey g4 and will probably run it on 120hz because i won't be getting higher fps than that
@theEvilA note on the mention of the image "drawing in lines" this is interlace, a predominantly american standard which comes out of television broadcast and is inferior to progressive tv/monitor panels to which the majority of the world are using, which do in fact refresh every individual pixel at once.
Unfortunately, america are living in the stone age with the continued use of interlaced which is why you can often see those lines. Its not the greatest technology.
That being said; this is likely due to america being so large, think of the work it would take to change the entire infrastructure in the country in how you broadcast television - this is what has dictated the sales of interlaced tv's and monitors in america rather than progressive.
If you can get a progressive monitor in the states.... go for that. However i advise only use it for your computer needs, american tv you will 100% see those lines because your television is being broadcast via an interlaced system.
As a further note, the "p" at the end of "1080p", "1440p" etc stands for progressive.
In america you are more likely to have "1080i" for interlaced.
Please, someone help me! Which gaming monitor curved 27” should I get to pair it with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI?

bro talking about monitors and uploads the worst colorgrading i've ever seen
@proventure307I want a 40 inch 6K Ultrawide. Or a 5K Ultrawide. Something with around 150+ PPI. Would like at minimum 144Hz and USB C PD 100W+ with DP2.1 and HDMI 2.1. Would prefer Micro LED but would take Mini LED with 1000+ FALD dimming zones and 2000+ Nits peak brightness. 500,000:1+ Contrast with sub 1ms response time and minimal ghosting/artifacting. That would be my dream monitor... not a huge fan of OLED. OLED's are pretty and look amazing, but Mini LED is pretty close and doesn't need pixel refreshers, ABL, Pixel Shift, and other burn in mitigation software. Mini LED can blast full brightness with no worry of burn in. One thing that drives me crazy is I can build the perfect PC... but I haven't been able to find the perfect monitor.
@decibal7532You need to lose a few pounds bro I've lost at least 30 myself in the last few months it's not that hard
@duarteribeiro1520This YouTube channels have become ads to sell products!
Offcourse he only shows ViewSonic monitors .........

But they never disclose it.
Most important thing to me is OLED. I first got an OLED TV. Was so blown away, I was looking for any excuse to play games made for controller so I could chill on the couch instead of at my desk. Then I got one of the first OLED monitors, an Alienware 3423DW. I paid a premium for it cuz it was early tech, but man this thing is incredible. 1440p, 144hz (165hz if you want to go down to 8 bit color), 21:9 aspect ratio... I am actually looking to now move onto a 32in 4K monitor but because I have spoiled myself with OLED, they ain't too cheap either. Anyways, once you experience that perfect contrast and amazing responsiveness, you never will go back. If you're on the fence because of the price and you're not in a rush, take some more time to save up some more money. It's worth it, and plus they've only gotten cheaper as time has gone on.
@Tacos4all94Gaming anything over 60fps actually impairs your reflex times because of the O(N log N)$ + AI Overhead it takes to SYNTHETICALLY UPSCALE the native 60fps to 120fps or 240fps. EVEN the RTX 5090 ONLY generates natively at 60fps.. THis causes latency from 30ms @60fps to 40ms at 120fps to 60ms at 240fps.
@russstephanson6987Where are all the 34" ultrawide IPS panels!? They've disappeared from the market!
@Packet_of_CrispsSelf serving video dont bother
@jaimestl3609Thanks for the video man! For the first time, a lot of specs associated with monitors finally make sense.
@bgarner2930And running an ultrawide if you keep the res is also more performance demanding of your gfx card
@ReasonRationality112I just got a 9070xt but still have a 1440p ips monitor can’t wait to spend another 500-700 on a 4k oled monitor 💀💀💀
@themisunderstood122And no word of oled "burning" issues.... The biggest downside si that they last less and can burn faster making blacks look grey permanently.
@federicomonti9509G9 all the way! :D
@FaetalEUMSI is on top of their game
@InsurvxJust got the Alienware AW3425DW yesterday. I am so excited and can't wait for it to arrive.
@Gizmotechie22I tried really hard to like my ultra-wide. Very cool for gaming but I actually use my PC for PC shit too and I just couldn’t adjust to it. Two 32” 1440 monitors is my preferred setup.
@Mawae808Great video. Lots of info. I have an AOC Q32V3S 31.5" WQHD 75Hz Adaptive Sync IPS Monitor. Works okay for me. I'm a casual gamer. Wanted 32" for desktop real estate primarily and the QHD resolution is spot on for me. But I've been thinking about an upgrade for better gaming credentials. Thinking same size, same res but much higher refresh, response and any other features that will make games look better without breaking the bank. So, OLED is out. I have an i7 with 4070 Super so thinking 4K res will stretch it a little where now it purrs along superbly. Any recommendations?
@Dogboy73Is there any point t in getting a monitor with a refresh rate that exceeds the best FPS your GPU can generate? If it’s at least as fast as your FPS, wouldn’t the response time be more important?
@sorryocifferProbably upgrading to a 1440P mini-LED next year.
@davidmccarthy6061I have a Samsung Odyssey G5 Series 27-Inch WQHD (2560x1440) 144Hz, Curved, 1ms Monitor with an i7 12700k and 4070 Ti. My problem is that I have to use vsync which caps my screen at 144fps to stop tearing cuz my gpu will give me like 240 fps if I leave vsync off and ill get tearing. With Vsync on my gpu utilization is only like 60% at 144fps. I've tried every setting to get around tearing problem with vsync off to no success so what is wrong here? Is my monitor too slow? Should I upgrade to a Gsync 180-240hz monitor with .05ms? How do I solve this while using more of my gpus performance?
@CrossRoad22We need a Dec 2025 version of this video please!
