Two observations I want to make on reflection here. The first is that Russian drone capabilities also appeared to be evolving in this direction in 2025. Ukraine's present advantage then likely reflects both greater pace of development and adoption and also potentially other factors like disruptions to Russia's use of Starlink (which has been a big part of the Ukrainian effort). The second is that this effort is most notable for its trends rather than its absolute effects so far. Russian air defence and supply lines are both clearly under pressure but the real danger (from Moscow's perspective) would be if these attacks continue to scale up without an adequate Russian response.
Hope you enjoy the episode, and look forward to seeing you again next week.
Drones have come to redefine just about every part of the war in Ukraine, so what's one more? Drones have turned the frontline into a UAS saturated kill zone and provided Russia and Ukraine an accessible long-range strike tool.
Now, Ukraine is using them at greater scale against mid-range targets, most notably Russian air defences, and the supply lines that underpin Russia's entire military effort.
The kersch bridge attack was a terror attack in which ukro kgb duped a unwilling, unknowing and innocent trucker to be a suicide bomber, like fucking ISIS.

21:00 Frankly, operational-level destruction has always been the best way to target an enemy. The USAAF bombing of the French road network before D-Day did far more to shorten ww2 then the strategic bombing campaign did, The bombing to iraq supplies did far more to help destroy the Iraqi army in 1991 then targating bagdad did.

you if sometimes wonder how many ruzzkis watch your ukraine videos and end up going "oh f**k" XD all jokes aside, i've been following you since 2022 and every vid i've shared with very different buddies of mine has had more or less the same response : "what a balanced view this guy has". We share the same views about Ukraine and the ongoing unjustfied war, but in case you read this I (amongst many others i'm sure) just wanted to say good job mate and keep it up. You've helped me keep an open mind about a lot of things and I think that's the best we can hope for these days

I’ve heard a lot of ridicule about the zebra stripes. Maybe it’s social engineering to get the crew to believe the camouflage story & to drive these trucks and not to fool the drones.

Hey mate, will you cover the recent death of FCAS/SCAF?
@piritskenyerGood thing Santa Claus really know swhat he's about because that type of coal is never fitting in my stocking.
@Derek-g7hI'd like to commend your restraint as an Australian native for not suggesting the Russians should build a War Rig, and Mad Max their way through occupied Crimea on resupply runs of Guzzoline. (apologies. Was watching Mad Max last night. The visuals stuck in my head and popped back up when seeing this video) ;)
@mariomezquita3492I always appreciate your deep analysis and careful conclusion making.
@mschwage36:33 it's "Ukraine" not "the Ukraine".
@TheKalashRegarding soft-skin stuff that is not necessary mil-issue, i suggest watching the work of Andrew Perpetua. He has been tracking a lot of the stuff, that ORYX et al ignored - civilian vehicles, buhankas, motorbikes and the like. He also was tracking visually confirmed personnel kills. From memory, just the engagements of visible personnel (so not vehicle or building hits) mapped to something like 33% of the number claimed by UKR.
@Kosake86Five years ago, who would've guessed that some of the most important weapons in a major war would cost less than a used car?
@K-HOLIC-4415:46 finally the baloon bomb reapears
@comentedonakeyboardi love watching your essay only proble is i can never just do some work or play a game with it ruining in the back ground cuz so hard to keep track that way good job keep up the good work
@jerrygoodwin4787Very interesting
@JadedCoffeeDrinkerI'm looking at the drone pic @23:43 and I didn't realize that thing was so small. Given the tools I remember lying around in shop class when I was in high school, Red Dawn (the original one..) might have gone differently if they had seen this video and could get into the local John Deere warehouse for some lawnmowers.
@quarthinos29:46 you gotta be kidding me
@NPJGlobalWould the current development of the mid-strike campaign be a result of technique and developments of the tactical and strategic strike drones?
Tactical drone are relatively easy and cheap; you just need a commercial fpv or quad-copter with explosives strapped to it. Strategic drones are necessarily more expensive, but can be made pretty simply. Just get a big plane-shaped thing with a decently sized battery or engine, and if you are looking to hit something stationary, just put a GPS in it, no sensors needed.
But mid-strike drones seems to require both of the most expensive parts of either drone class; maneuverability, realtime camera, range, and likely a fairly large payload.
Wonder if Ukraine has considered using a large solar panel as the wing on the new FPV drones to give added lift yet charge the batteries to provide even greater range. Obviously would only work in fair daytime weather, yet might provide an additional 50-85 kms of range.
@timothyraycob3446I swear to god this is the Auspex Tactics guy with a slight voice modulation
@zachbell8107Way more trucks have been destroyed even if the official data says otherwise because few were bothering to track visually confirmed cases of trucks destroyed.
@The_ZeroLineI hope the balloon drops were only publicized if Russia was already doing them or aware Ukraine was.
@The_ZeroLineWe're now hearing - from Russian milbloggers, that there are some 70 Ukrainian drones per frontline Russian soldier.
And I've recently seen a Russian video of a Ukrainian Shahed-type drone skimming the sea at maybe 10 metres.
This is more than a drone war, it's a rapid technology war where drones are the most immediate outcome of those quick advances - and use of AI.
Ukraine will win this, because thay have Europe behind them and can manufacture everything behind NATO lines if need be.
Moreover, with that backing, they can advance everything they do will far less threat .
Slava Ukraini
