I really wish this Shea Charles thing would just f*ck off now lol He's a bang average player, who would probably spend most of next season on our bench, he couldn't even get into Southampton's first team so why we're chasing him like he's the second coming of Christ I just don't get. He's worth nowhere near the price we've bid, let alone what they want for him, just walk away and when the transfer deadline day gets close and Southampton are desperate to get players off their books and money in through the door to stave off PSR or whatever it's called now, they'll be begging us to take him.

Wilson was a great signing and he cost us nowt, let's go for more like him, there's some cracking players who are out of contract right now and looking for clubs.

Ger, can we for once, just once, go all in and sign a player who is wanted by others without going back and forth in an effort to ensure we don’t pay sixpence more than have to? You mentioned that under the financial rules we have an advantage in terms of the spending cap over the clubs who can offer European competition, (e.g. Sunderland and Bournemouth). We must get a replacement for Pascal. No debate. Being aspirational with your targets and making the most of a tight budget makes sense when you are talking about improving on what you have. But we now don’t have a left sided centre back (I don’t consider Max Wober to be more than a squad/back up in that position, if he stays). If Muharemovic ticks all the boxes, then I hope we don’t hear that we have lost out because we would not match what the Black Cats or Cherries are willing to pay (if he simply insists on Europe then that is fair enough).

Really disappointed with Darlow, I'm grateful for his service but can't wish him well unlike Mellier. Mellier has moved on like a gentleman and personally i think he's going to become a quality keeper. Darlow has done ys dirty, delayed his decision and then turned his back on us. I'm not jumping on the Darlow hate wagon. He stepped up to steady the club when he was needed, he did well, got us promoted, and his reward was to be instantly replaced by a new keeper who didn't have to compete to replace him. He stayed, stepped in and steadied the club again and helped keep the club up, only to watch the club go look for another keeper to drop in over him again. I don't blame him for going, especially to a club where GKs have a habit of falling on their faces and giving the no.2 a shot, along with European football.

It's great that Leeds want to be ambitious, however without the offer of European football and/or big wages, they will struggle to get players to match that ambition for now. Look at Newcastle the last few transfer windows. They should have guaranteed Darlow as no.1 and looked for competition for him. Now the options are all GKs with minimal experience with Leed's play style and minimal prem level experience. GK is an extremely important part of how Farke sets up his side to play, they should act to make sure Perri will stay and bed him and Cairns in with a solid pre-season because there alternative will be chaos or a miracle.
