Toyota Corolla 2020 in-depth review | carwow Reviews
Video Overview & Insights
This is the new Toyota Corolla! It’s fair to say previous generations of the Corolla (or Auris, as it used to be called) were known for being good value for money, but relatively dull. However, it seems Toyota is looking to put that reputation to bed with the all-new Corolla! But does the interior and drivability match up to the exciting new exterior style, especially when you consider it costs slightly more than a VW Golf or Ford Focus? Join Mat for his in-depth review to find out!
This car's got more style than my whole wardrobe, fr!

Looks very nice :)
@AutoSpecGlobalIt's definitely over hyped. But many people buy Toyotas and are selling it except a few people. 🎣🐠🐟🐡.
@Space-f66fJust bought a 5 year old secondhand one. Replaces a 21 year old Ford C-MAX 2.0 Tdci. No more diesel faults :-)
@simontemplar404Defo considering one!!!
@jeffallinson8089Next one 759.... wow 15% now
@naprawde1234He always says Ford is more fun to drive than Toyota. In the Yaris video mentioning Fiesta and in this mentioning Focus. However the Ford Ecoboost engines are prone to cause a lot of problems and drain your wallet. Why does he keep praising Ford when according to mechanics they make cars that are not reliable in comparison at all 🤔
@470spartanI love this cars carwow is the best
@banaras.khan36I have a corolla sport, 1.8. Awesome car, would recommend to anyone.
@MikeGray-p2wNot Toyota Grande Pakistan ha
@HussainHashmi-h5cIs Carwow in Toyota's pocket?? Lol

@usamayoutuber2312At it still sells for 15k upwards
@vidsthatmakeyousmileThe Touring ( estate ) version is the one to go for. A good looker too.
@martinmcdonald4207Got it since 2020, still absolutely LOVE IT
@bbbbballislife9858The front is fine but the back is ugly.
@aron2922They made a great car with an own goal by making it too small in the back. The Civic is huge in comparison.
@GK-qc5ryThe 12 volt battery system is absolutely rubbish if you park it for more than a couple of days it won't start put the error message you get is Please take it to your main dealer
What a load of rubbish if you can start it you won't need to go to your dealer
You need to drive it every day for at least 15 miles to keep the battery topped up
I've have mine for about 3 years and it has flattened battery problems 8 or 9 times I have. Battery charger and. Jump start to get around the problem
I have had Toyota's for at least 30 years I wouldn't get another one
Say well clear
Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish
I like it too. Too bad the trunk isn't bigger but it's okay.
@SirMorakExcellent review, Mat! I recently got a 2020 Toyota Corolla Sport 1.8 Hybrid. It's a Japanese import. A truly fantastic car for sure so far. I get an average of 3.7 to 4/100km UK driving at 60mph or just over. At 50 mph, I get 3.4 to 3.6 /100km. I think that's fantastic. If there are hills and inclines, I get 4.7 to 4.9 at worst. Very impressed with the car so far.
@WolvesInfernoPicked up a 2020 Touring Sport in the Icon Tech trim, literally the perfect daily and motorway cruiser.

@r.rahman5094Toyota Needs to talk to Sony for their infortainment systems and instrument clusters. By now they should be knowing that their infortaiment systems are very bad. Come-on Toyota!!
@mangalisoxaba498Damn good looking car.
@73Fluxx1£21k. They are £33k now
@The_Yorkshire_travellerThe cvt of this is unbearable on highways.

@Tai91827Hey @mat, please can you review the 2024 corolla hatchback hybrid please? Thank you
@ElvisAzuhni-ld3jqSat in one yesterday and the rear seats are absolutely horrible
@sw_charlie10:14 Cmoon they didn't change the horn??
@giannisrousakakis696One of the best looking hatchbacks on the market IMO
@SeaJayBelfastNew model looks great, but at the moment... cars from years 2023/2024.
Very economical (3,8 - 4.2l/100km - even at a speed of 100km you are driving on electric) and comfortable car. However, it has several flaws that Toyota ignores despite many posts on the subject on the Internet and official reports (notifications from Poland and the EU): problems with HUD (no economizer or EV), radio (loses range, breaks) - in 2023/2024 models. There is no way to quickly turn off the display at night (the option is available "deep" in the menu).
Terrible support ignoring reported problems. The automatic door locking option is not available. If you are interested in the problems, look for it :-). Well-functioning safety systems, active cruise control, super smooth and comfortable ride.
It is really a reliable car. My 2023 Tucson failed me the second time in 10000 kms. I had to borrow my father's Corolla. I and my Tucson rely on Corolla. 😄
@h.mahmutdogan2708Corolla or auris hatchbacks??
@a1motivationchannel232Wow 21 k when cars were affordable. In 2024 not anymore
