The designers should be prosecuted for crimes against good taste. Sickeningly awful

This is a beautiful home but way too much going on ! Very busy place and would require servants to maintain.

What a miserable home. So disjointed. No flow. Why would you stage a beautiful historic home with what looks like first year interior designers who took their children's advice. My apologies if someone actually lives there and did this on purpose and is happy with it. That home is so far from the elegant home it deserves to be. I wouldn't pay anything for it. It would cost as much as it's worth to put it back like it should be. Shame on whoever did this.

Introducing "The River Mansion," an opulent Beaux-Arts brick and limestone mansard mansion located in the historic Riverside Drive-West 105th Street District. Built from 1899-1902 by renowned architect Robert D. Kohn, this stunning five-story property spanning 10,000 sqft boasts a grand foyer, parlor, library, wine room, wine cellar, media room, two kitchens with a service kitchen, dining room, roof deck, and elevator. The home features seven wood-burning fireplaces throughout.

With five spacious bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths, this exquisite home is the epitome of grand elegance and sophistication. The primary fa ade features a beautiful blend of dark red brick and limestone and spans both West 106th Street and Riverside Drive.

Beautiful house - once upon a time. Too bad they let all those self-proclaimed "designers" in there to turn the place into a garbage dump. Those people should be made to pay for all the damage they did and for turning a beautiful, classic house into a tear down.

— @548Aisha

Inside, you will find brand new, high end, finishes, and materials, including JennAir luxury appliances, which are sustainably produced. This immaculate property is also the site of the 48th Annual New York City Kips Bay Decorator Show House, a testament to its exceptional beauty and prestige.

The River Mansion is truly a work of art, with its three bays of windows on Riverside Drive with views of the Hudson River and three widely spaced bays on West 106th Street. The primary entrance is flanked by elaborately carved, banded columns inspired by late 16th century French architecture, and a strong horizontal band-course forms the top of the stone English basement, which is thus set off as a podium. In the two outer bays, tall arched limestone frames rise from the podium and enclose the second and third-floor windows.

Must be liberal democrats..lol

— @jeffholt3841

The roof deck spans 2000 sqft and offers unparalleled views of the Hudson River.

Im not even a new yorker, not even american, yet i felt insulted by the way they destroyed theat interior.

— @veryaveragegamingstud274

4:17 - Floor Three

That main bedroom is horrendous and the designer needs another job.

Looking at the zillow listing for this property is actually hilarious. Originally listed for 24 mil, dropped to 20M, then relisted for 13M, then 10M, then finally sold after nearly 2 yrs on the market for 7.3 mil. Now listed for rent for 50k/month. What a joke. Those 24 designers absolutely ruined this mansion.

It looks like judging by the interior that this place was owned by a very successful pimp

@TalhaAbdullah-z5v
@

Modern people have no conception of style. While the mansion is amazing, I much prefer classic interior decor, as it is lightyears greater in sophistication.

@ex0gen
@

Looks like shit. Did it sell?

@KG-eb3su
@

Pretty sure this place sold for $2m

@patrickfitzgibbon5740
@

JESUS CHRIST, THAT INTERIOR!! 🤮🤮

@coolgsaks2735
@

Who’s gonna buy this 10k sq feet of glompy design mess? Nobody wants that sticky cotton candy pink bedroom. I’m very curious how this went down lol.

@MaxieD555
@

Problably would be less work to renovate if it was abandoned

@henriquecampolina7765
@

Whomever buys it will have the money to restore it to its glorious state. I get that each room had a different designer but none of them took into account the historic value of the house.

@rubier.3503
@

I would have to factor in bringing it back to it's original glory

@ruthgallagher1168
@

the kitchen on the third flor and away from the dining room???

@carolinamello1186
@

Cotton candy room looked like someone went on acid trip just 🤢

How's the prison food ?

@JimGreen-y5m
@

Is that razor wire on the roof?🧐 Like a prison.

@SoCalFreelance
@

Why is the bedroom cotton candy pink in a NYC gilded age apartment? How did this designer Win the right to do that??
This house has way too many designers here. Only one floor looks like an eccentric in a gilded age home lives there. The rest are too californian.

@StellaAesthetics
@

The floor with the black tub is boring, imo.

@StellaAesthetics
@

I am loving the First floor, the green is beyond.... 👀

@StellaAesthetics
@

Most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen done to a historical house Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to have their head checked😢😢😢

@Chnbr8r
@

How much to fix this atrocity?

@ibec69
@

The people that decorated that wonderful house should be drawn and quartered.

@ncexnyc4466
@

Beautiful home but the interiors are dreadful !! Too much going on and nothing flowing.

@Starshipxxxx
@

I'm going to guess no one is living in this mansion right now ( March 2026 ). Not too many Bruce Waynes out there

@Zomboo-od1zx
@

Everything was decent until the nightmare cotton candy room. What the hell? Did Katy Perry live here?

@maestrojon
@

What an absolute piece of shit. The house too.

@themaethtro
@

Where was the dinning room? The building is amazing. It would have been lovely, for me, that the rooms would have been designed with gilded age design.

@maritzacuevas7614
@

The pink bedroom is utterly awful!

@ChrisBeckstrom-s6k
@

hey camera guy - we are here to look at the house not the silly presenter. i am here to see the mansions and hear about them bu tyou concentrate on the guy and his meaningless drivel: he speaks with no depth of the homes, it's like he's meme of himself. BOO!! get a profesional presenter who isnt full of hinself, it's super annoying. he thinks its all about him ( he's right ...on this channel anyways..) but we dontcare about him. we want the houses, and youre' showing his shoes and suit instead of the architectural details. you guys wont be doing the vids for my mansions that FS

@EnglishMind-w8y
@

I sincerely hope the furnishings arnt included in the sale price....

@terrievanmeter8742
@

It doesn’t look like a home inside, looks like an expensive gift store 🤣 so many ornaments, paintings and things clashing 😮

@heatherjean1068
@

Money but no taste.

@worldobserver3515
@

Mansion is worth it and for the size it's actually a bargain
The barbie room is cool
I could easily enjoy everything except the bed
I have a hatred for powder rooms 1/2 baths and would make powder room a full bathroom with a 4×4 sit down shower with rain shower handheld because during bad weather you should clean up before you get to upper floors same with laundry on lower floor with smal kitchenette so I can make Lower floor with home gym yoga pilates studio its my 24+mil I do wish it wtf I want to 90% I like the mansion but would tailor to my practical needs

@langsnek07
@

beautiful property but I would chose a few architects from the list and make a more homogeneous home, that's my personal preference...

@yosefcoelho5601
@

Designers really pulled ideas out of there ass and stuck with it

@Montano214

The designers destroyed this house. Nothing inside is even remotely connected to the style or period of this house.
