I learned a long time ago that “privilege” & wealth is NOT a sign of superiority by any measure. In fact privilege & wealth doesn’t prove anything other than random luck and social position by virtue of inheritance. And those Founders believed that such things should be EARNED ! And NOT simply handed down. It is that belief of which the notion of Inheritance taxes came to be. Yet it is in modern America the well to do have been paying off Congress, Administrations & even the Courts to undermine. And the American “commoners” are too stupid to understand. And I suspect many Americans have been sold on the idea of one day being a member of the elite and everything they get their hands on will be passed tax free to their families. Never mind when & if that ever happens those descendants will Not have Earned any of that wealth when they become adults. The Founders did not believe in that. Instead, EVERYONE should earn their own way in life.
