Top 7 Asian Countries with Retirement Visa Programs: A Complete Guide
Video Overview & Insights
In this video, I will dive into 7 Asian countries’ retirement visa programs, focusing on visa details, eligibility requirement, application process, alternative options etc.
This video states that a monthly income of 40,000 ( yes 40K!!!) Malaysian Ringgits is required to obtain an MM2H ( Malaysia My Second Home) residence visa.
Seems totally implausible to me...
That's an annual income of UK£ 88,000 (88K) or US$ 120,000.00 (120K) at current exchange rates
Go figure.....

None of those financial requirements in the Philippines are a wise move for expats. Not wise when considering other alternatives in some countries like Cambodia for retirement if over 55 ! A yearly fee of $290 USD is all that is required. Or a simple tourist visa may be renewed for up to 3 years before having to leave the country. Many do this and simply vacation - some every year and just continue on the tourist visa.
