Nothing can touch Lord of the Rings in storytelling, worldbuilding, acting and immersion, they could have rated it as one very long movie though to leave slots for Willow and Ivanhoe (a swashbuckling fantasy version of medieval England)

Every list is asked on what the compiler has seen or like. Maybe this channel has never seen the older classics like Theif of Bagdad or any of the Harryhausen mythology movies. That being the case, their list is only their opinion and a mediocre and incomplete list.

Harry potter and lord of the rings should only take up one slot each, although yes, hollywood treats them as separate films for awards' sake. Stardust and Hogfather are two of my favorites, as well as the Narnia series.

The Lord of the Rings films should have been one entry. This is coming from a Tolkien geek of 40 years.
Edward Scissorhands isn't really fantasy. It has more of a gothic horror feel to it. If you wanted to include a fantasy film from Tim Burton, I would have used Big Fish. It's ridiculously underrated.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Bull feathers. Many of those movies are garbage. Greatest Fantasy movie and just a damn good movie is Conan the Barbarian (1981). Excalibur is great too with music of Wagner throughout. Dragon Slayer was extremely underrated, itβs good too.

I think phrasing it "Best of all time" is over exaggerated.
Dont get me wrong - this list includes some very good fantasy movies that I personally like very much, too. But I do not understand on what base tha rating is made? Most voted? Most viewed? Most money made? Most prizes earned?
To me it just sounds like a list of personal favourites - which is nothing wrong with - but that it should not be called "Best of all time" because personal preferences vary a lot.
I, for myself, would have included Stardust or Ladyhawk into the list - or combining the LotR Triologie into one entry.
All in all - its a nice list and it made me want to watch some of the movies again - but - its not "Best of all time"

What a terrible list. You put Legend- a movie with a swamp hag, goblins, a demon, unicorns, fairies, princesses, and warriors, at number 20, but then Edward Scissor hands- a movie where the only fantastical element is the guy has scissors for hands, at number 11?!?!
Then instead of adding movies like Willow, or Conan, or Dragonheart, or a ton of other options, you include THREE Lord of the rings movies? Most people see all three of those movies as essentially one long story/movie. It would have made more sense to simply add the trilogy as number 1 and then include other worthy movies.
At this point I'm surprised you didn't take up 7 spots for all of the Harry Potter movies.

Be serious ! Ranking Legend at the 20th place is not right, it should be much higher in that list. I also agree with the people commenting that LOTR trilogy should be treated as only one entry, and I think it's overrated a lot. I like the films but I don't think they deserves such a high rank...
