Video Overview & Insights

PDF: https://bit.ly/Top10CostcoPrepsInflation

This is an incredible video. Facts! You didn’t drag it out. 👍🏼. Suprised at rice and Romain.

— @dajo2824

In this follow-up video, we revisit the Top 10 Costco Preps that I recommended three years ago and examine how inflation has impacted their prices. We've all seen the rising costs of goods, and it's crucial to assess how this economic factor has affected our ability to prepare for emergencies. Join me as we compare the original prices with the current ones, providing insights into whether Costco's emergency preparedness supplies still offer the same value they did a few years ago. Discover if they remain a budget-friendly option for your emergency preparedness needs, and get a clear picture of the impact of inflation on our ability to stay ready for unforeseen events.

Good news! Inflation is definitely coming down. I don't think that your prediction for three years from now will be accurate. It will be interesting to watch your video in three years and see if your estimate of 10% inflation every year comes true. Thank you for making these videos, they're very interesting and well done.

I love the fact that you have color-coded your prep shelf storage. Would also appreciate if you organized it alphabetically thank you.

Wow I was way off! I was thinking the average would be 9-12% I was not expecting 30+%. My wallet has been feeling the pain for sure. Thankful for the 1.50 hot dog.

Love your suggestions. I just need to know where I can store this in my studio apartment. Also where would I store my chicken wire in case I need to build a chicken coop in midtown manhattan?

This bloke's a sleazy conman! (Probably applying the Costco principles!) Touting RICE @ $22.49 (down from $22.99) when WOOLWORTHS has been selling the same sized bag of rice for $8.65 for months now. (and Aldi is not much more expensive.) Claiming a 50-cent reduction in price as a good thing is misleading and deceptive on all levels!

Thanks for the comparison. LET'S GO BRANDON.

I had a feeling the government numbers were wrong or misleading. BLS says inflation was 18% from Nov 2020 to Nov 2023, but prices have obviously increased much more than that. There may be other factors at play, and I also don't know how it's calculated, but actual prices of things are how most people measure real inflation.

not cheaper the rice ..old price 22LB 22.99 new 22.49 for 20 LB so the bag is smaller now

My favorite chili from Costco went from 12.00 for 8 to 1699 for 6

Canned Corned beef usually comes from Brazil. Brazil has elected a Commie president who will appoint crony Commie friends to be government officials who know nothing about the industry they oversee. That might explain the increase in price.

I noticed that fast food items are smaller too. For instance..I remember much bigger burgers at Burger King than I used too get. .....Thanks to Biden for making our lives so much more expensive, by ending our oil industry. Worst resident of my 74 years. Pet food prices are terrible, too. Excellent information here.

Yeah, you only checked over all cost, you should have checked cost per unit/ounce etc. the corned beef was originally $19.99 for 6/12oz,
cans, the current price is $35.39 for 6/11.5 oz cans so it's actually HIGHER than what you stated.

I estimated 30%, & I live on the other side of the world. Americans need to keep in mind COVID & war inflation is global, & inflation has hit other countries much more.

Gold is a tangible asset. I can touch it, caress it and put it in my mouth. Or I could exchange it for Federal Reserve debt notes. Of course, you can't eat gold. You can't eat your credit card either.

This is SO eye opening… looks like Core inflation CPI isnt showing whats really hitting day to day Americans. 30% increases is completely unsustainable. Very scary

FYI -- Out here in Utah the double jug of Olive Oil, the one where you get two jugs together. It's now $46!!! It's almost doubled in price from a year ago where I remember paying $27 for the 2-pack. (I'm a soap maker, so track the price of that item. I seem to remember it at $19 2-3 years ago.

The coward administration that runs the U.S. lied, & told us inflation has only gone up six percent not 31 percent.

Guessing 40% before seeing this.

my guess was 35% but im only halfway thru and holy crap...

I do not know why youtube recommended this video to me. Saving food for 3 years to save $3 to $7 is NOT my idea of fun. The cost of storage used for saving the food is more expensive than the cost of the food itself.

You got the vitamin wrong it was 11.49 three years ago and now it is 14.99.
The 19.99 was the one below the one you grabbed. I wish it had gone down.

I hate to tell you, you compared C&D cell batteries with AA & AAA, which from the video increased $1. You compared peaches to mangos prices, and you compared Centrum multivitamin to kirkland, which the original price above the kirkland brand was $11.49.
