I’m 4yrs late to this video but I’m glad I got it! I’m 24 years old and I work 2 jobs, I wrote down a list of things that I need and don’t need. Me and my family been going at it for the past week they threw all my shit away!! I’m like you don’t see me doing that to you cause now then it would be all out war!!! I’ve gotta stay focused on what’s way more important in this life. When I do eventually get out there on my own I’m gonna buy groceries but healthy stuff cause i can’t afford to be buying junk then getting sick. Good tip bro I got an air mattress so ima take that with me! Real good advice I appreciate it. I’m still thinking about getting a roommate cause y’know splitting the rent and bills sounds cool, so hoping that they aren’t a complete sociopath/psychopath. I will figure it out soon because this is what I’m maintaining my focus right now!! I’m good with the simple things in life.

I’m not moving out yet, it’d be in about 2 years since I start working in a month and I wanna try to save the most I can to just get away, I want out as soon as I can because of personal things, but I’m watching this now and saving it for later to keep a reminder, plus to know something so I’m not terrified of moving out either, my goal really is to move out, and get as far as I can from my family, and this did help me understand some of it good so I know a little more about what I’m getting into

I moved with my family to this house a couple years back, but we were short on room. I slept in the living room the last couple months. Before that the basement. And they year and a half before that the living room as well. My family would do their laundry, dishes, and had the dogs caged downstairs for the night. It was horrific. It drove me so mad that I have finally got enough together to get out by the new year. I am so excited to finally have my own space, it's what I wanted all this time.

Moving out for the first time at 30. I paid off nearly 16k in credit card debt and got my credit score up into the 700's. I saved a little alomg the way, but moving out in the state of California is no joke. Won't have much left after this move, but to finally have my own place after sharing a room all my life is something I'm beyond proud of.

The germiest spot isn’t the toilet. It’s actually the toothbrush holder. In a study in 2011 on household germs, conducted by the global public health and safety organization NSF International, researchers tested 30 surfaces—six of which were in the bathroom—in 22 homes for the presence of bacteria, yeast and mold. While 27% of toilet seats contained mold and yeast, 64% of toothbrush holders did. Of the toothbrush holders, 27% had coliform (an indicator of potential fecal contamination) and 14% had staph.

Do not keep your touthbrush out in the open in the bathroom!!!

Pro tip: for the plunger, it isn't even about you stopping up the plumbing. . . . it's about: how good even is the plumbing? Make sure you get BOTH types of plungers. That kinda bowl shaped one most people think about? Iconic. But it doesn't work on the toilet. That there's a sink plunger for when your kitchen/bathroom sink stops up, or even your bathtub drain. You wanna ALSO get a toilet plunger, which is kinda funky shaped with an extra smaller bit at the bottom.

Always make sure you have SAVINGS its not fun to NEED or ASK for help once you're out on your own. Sometimes even your own family won't help you sadly. I learned the very hard way.

Thanks Reggie. I once moved on out due to my parents hassling me to. I survived and did well, but didn't like being with other people. My friend told me to be cautious with the people you hang with. They can affect you and you know more about them.
