TikTok Witchcraft Trends That Make Real Witches Cringe
Video Overview & Insights
Although I am slightly addicted to tiktok, witchtok is not my favourite. Some things I just laugh out loud at, others I visibly cringe and most I find boring or stupid. This rather frustrates me as practices like trying to hex people, or blowing cinnamon at your door every morning, are either not going to work, or work against you. Magic is not. aquick fix, it takes time, and practice. so do bear this in mind when watching the younger generation of witches!
If you are tired of carrying everything on your own, please know that Jesus sees you, knows your struggles, and loves you more than words can say. He wants to lift the weight off your shoulders and give you a safe place to just rest. You are so precious to Him, and you never have to face the dark alone."

It’s really hard because I’m really skeptical of things. But I feel that I believe in something more and more spiritual and scientifical. How did you guys get passed this if you felt this way too? I don’t like feeling brainwashed but I’m open to things. I guess I’m just really scared of being brainwashed

As a christian I'd be a bit iffy about calling myself a witch for religious reasons, but growing up in appalachia, there's just so much stuff I was taught by my family and community that according to tik tok constitutes as witchcraft and it's genuinely hilarious hearing people talk about the stuff my family would do growing up to satify a superstition or remedies for the stomach flu I was given as a youngin' like it's some dark and spooky esoteric practice lmao

Thank you ❤ I feel drawn to learning witchcraft and have seen some elder comments which, intuitively, feel so right I won't ignore them. "For the good of all, this harming none" is one I wrote down. Seeing some of the social media witchy shorts has me curious about those spells, but I don't know enough to know the true intention of the person posting. Intuitively, I feel strongly that I need to do more before I try anything. I'm starting with a book, The Kitchen Witch, and will refer to a friend who has practiced for years.
I will be back to your channel for sure. ❤

Hi from down under , Australia 🇦🇺
#witchcraft #witchtok #traditionalwitch
Aiii the notebook thing is so hard for me. Like sometimes I’m just too tired, I’ve done stuff in the evening and bed I know it time slipped by and it’s past midnight. I think to myself “I’ll write in the morning” but then the next morning is rushed or something happens and so on and so on. My life is consistently chaotic like this as an ADHD person. I actually want to keep track but I just haven’t yet found a way of doing it yet.
More User Perspectives
Been practicing magic for about 34 years with an emphasis on how it works. I agree in general with what you say about TikTok but I disagree that you have to work on manifesting your result by doing something physical. It can help sometimes & sometimes it might not. What helps the most is getting rid of as many negative aspects to yourself as you can because that makes the impossible possible.
It is entirely possible to cast magic & not do a darn thing physically to acheive it & still get it. The key is true belief in what you are casting for which you can't have if you have some sort of hang up toward that thing.
As someone who has cursed a few peopke in my day, you shouldn't do it, instead use positive magic. Whatever you create must be made within you first. What then do you think cursing will do? You will at some point reap that negativity because you have created it within yourself.
Look under your chair, where you were writing last. That’s where I always find mine.
@carmenbitzer3583i agree with a lot of points here, (doing witchcraft for about 4+ years) however not everyone has the opportunity to get taught by an elder.
elders are very hard to find, much more in person and not all of them are willing. you can say these people haven't learnt from elders and it shows, (true) but they didn't have those opportunities, and this is what makes witchcraft so accessible and inaccessible at the same time.
if the elders want the youth to be taught by more experienced folk (again, the elders), they need to make themselves available in some shape or form.
witchcraft is not a one way road.
I KNEW MY JOURNAL FROM BARNS AND NOBLE WAS IMPORTANT. I also see people not researching before practicing, or going off and buying things when they literally have spices in their cabinets??
@EtheralEscapeI had Wiccan friends when I lived in Las Vegas. They're real nice people.... Blessëd Be to all witches!
@GeminiRatthere's always false info on contents, it's literally everywhere...not just tiktok, youtube, facebook, google and even books, yes, books! You need to double check everything and not believe everything you read or somebody say, even if they're older. Tiktok is just another surce of content that is not always correct
@bogi_jbso meta cringe. real real witches know they are damned to eternal punishment. put childish things away and repent, so little time for you, why making a bad example for young women. bless you in Jesus name. sorry so callous, but you must know Satan is much worse.
@98custom-q9lI hope not to be taken wrongly, in large part because I hope to have taken you wrongly, but I was with you until 9:14. So please take this as the constructive, not cruel, feedback it's meant to be. But the way you phrased that sounded, to me, like you think you may have had seven people close to you in life die to teach you a lesson about becoming a medium. I can't help but feel that the seven people might not have been happy to be teachers.
My hope is that you simply meant that in this life, at that time, you needed to learn something, and since those people's fates were what they were, you were positioned in the right place for your own. My sincere hope is that everyone gets a fate of their own and for their own purpose, albeit perhaps an interpersonally entangled one.
Just keep in mind everyone, some of us, well most from my experiences, have no one to teach them. No one to tell them 'Ach, no. Thats nonesence. THIS is what they meant...' its so hard out here to figure out who's in it to teach and whose in it just have reach...😅
@bitoddinnit955According to Buddhist teachings, women crave one thing above all else: ATTENTION (and they don't care what they have to do to get it)! Tik Tok is irrefutable evidence of that fact.
@chadthunderjock6520Im afraid to touch things i dont know , and i have peace of mind ❤❤❤
@efterpimoura6411Thank you for this video as a newbie witch <3
@steviethiccczcan you do a video wher you talk more depply about you reacnation
@malle-w4z6uI would love to become a medium like that
@desiraestafford4572"I don't believe in coincidence" but multiple people dying in the same year is "just what happens" ...so in other words, a coincidence.
@littlemissladykake5728I highly agree with you! I deleted my tiktok because it was full of brainrot and I prefer spending my time reading anyway. I am quite young still, only 28 this year, but I am well read and I do proper research. I also follow my instincts and usually just use materials to focus, but only really need myself and the elements to be able to do what I need. I've been learning to manifest using writing and music. I have a whole manifestation playlist and journal about my dreams and the steps I've been taking to achieve them. I love your videos and I always learn a lot from them. Once I'm a bit more financially stable, I am definitely supporting your patrion!
@MeruChan98So much of the image and video assets you used are Ai made slop. Really distracting actually.
@peritheartist4:50 "i do not believe in coincidences" this is extremely dangerous and highly religiously ideology. to me, this is nothing more but repackaged christianity and i know to stay away from that. the belief of fate, a path etched in stone, goes entirely against my understanding of morality. everything happens and exists for no reason whatsoever. magic is only accessible to us by accident. we are here because of evolution. deities, spirits, and other entities are only here because of coincidence. no one power exists to generate reality. we live in a sandbox. i will not fall for your deceit.
@stanloonaur69Hi Ginny. Thanks for the video. You are so right about all of this. I don’t do TikTok or much of any of the other social media platform. Quite frankly they are full of BS (not just talking about witchy stuff here). I have been openly practicing for nearly three years and whilst I have some crystals and other “witchy” accessories, most of my practice is just me , my spirit team and energy, but most importantly connection to Mother Earth and the Divine. That is when my magic is most powerful. I see that some people on here have spoken about not having elders to learn from but I believe that when you are ready the teacher will come and everything we need to know for our practice is already within us. You just have to access that. I also warn people to be very careful who they trust as a source of knowledge on social media and I recommend some that I feel are trustworthy and knowledgeable. I’ll add you to the list. 😊 May grace go with you.
@fromthemindofHmmm don’t change someone’s path? Sounds like Wicca. Not everyone in the world adheres to these beliefs.
@Royalblue537Love your energy ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 sizzling and sparkling!😊😊😊
@rhondazabinsky-uv9bgAs a lass who has been drawn to witchcraft and paganism since a child i cringe at a lot of tiktoks to the point i left, i love learning from elder witchies got a lotta respect for you guys ❤
@Kitty66669Humility is an under appreciated virtue.
Attention is an over appreciated "endorsement".
i hardly EVER go on tik tok
i have one to watch the bs people send me. but this am i typed in witch tok to see what all the hullabaloo is about and everything was so cheesy and cringe and all the icky words. maybe it's because i'm more of what you'd call a hedge witch, i think, or that i rely on family traditions for a lot of my work...but this commercialization and aesthetics bs...kills me.
when i work it is messy as hell and ugly 😂. it's like watching a cooking show where every ingredient is carefully placed in size appropriate matching glass bowls. PLEASE whodoesthat? 😂
Manifesting never worked for me and I felt genuinely crap about it. Took Vera Hart's manifestation quiz purely out of desperation. Matched exactly. Honestly didn't see that coming. Just try it. ❤️
@zohankhan-m2l3hManifesting never worked for me and I felt genuinely crap about it. Watched everyone else talk about it like it was second nature while I just sat there feeling broken. Took Vera Hart's archetype quiz purely out of desperation, honestly didn't expect anything. Matched me exactly. Like, uncomfortably exact. Didn't see that coming at all. If you've been beating yourself up over this too, just try it. Costs you two minutes. ❤️
@onlineworkinginpicoworker7280Nothing is a coincidence. I saw the thumbnail, tried to scroll past this and simply couldn't. Scrolled back up and opened the video. I love your energy! ✨️
@littlemarsssExcellent content!! Thank you for your work.
@RyanGaryE3:37 oh how I love that pen❤❤❤😮😮😮❤❤❤
@Whole-heartedly-honestI like your vibe 😄 I hope I can one day be as confident and self-assured.
@chezarctica7386So I want to learn do you have any tips on helping me I want to learn about witchcraft any tips or advice would help me thank you
@Lexi234asYou can't really blame the girls that are new trying their hardest with no elders. Some of us had to do the same during and before dial up. I am actually considering getting that sigil circle to help come up with some new ones lol
@NicoleMangan-z9o6:59 Hey, don't mean to sound rude or anything, but the Wheel of the year image you used here is AI! Just wanna let you know! <3
@PetrichoricDreamsOfWomennAll witches are cringe. Tiktok or not.
@wiggerbyzantiumI enjoy watching your videos as you're one of the few that I see the truth through wisdom of your message, whatever that might be for the episode/topic. This episode is akin to bright light flooding into a darkened room. I have been practicing craft work for nearly three decades now and so much of what you say in this video is spot of from my perspective. While I must admit I started out a lot like these younger folk, I've "grown up" over the years. Some of the stuff I initially learned was bollocks, some of my most essential perceptions and rituals were never talked about in circle or literature. All that is magical is formed into you when you were dreamed into reality. Everything else, every tool or crystal, every herb, every action is a fine tuning of that magic like the fine tuning of a sensitive raid to a specific frequency. It's all in you. I'm so thankful for your videos.
@Mr.Nobody06060Thank you 3rd generation here I stay solitary no religion but bless and help nature blessed be
@mercurysbestIm a young witch and your channel just found me! I first discovered what witchcraft was on tiktok, but it never sat right with me the things that people do there 😬 Your videos have helped teach me a ton about witchcraft and help me identify what I truly believe in. I can't wait to keep learning!
@kiral1073Which books do you recommend for a new witch to get some valid informations if I don't have anyone to teach me? 🌞
