Ok, it's rare that I learn something new (I actively do try to find new approaches), I kind of did something along these lines, I guess this is a slightly different take with a bit more precision. Big thx, I will use this for sure.

I’ve never painted lighting effects, what’s the best technique to start with and master or is it like I just have to do what I find best for me?

Great video! Unfortunately every time I clean my miniatures after an oil wash I seem to rub off the paint down to the primer. My base colors are typically done with airbrush. Do I need to varnish the miniature more? Curious if you have had the same issues. Thank you!

@cramcrust

So how do I prevent my brush from completing drying out?

@Theotherlostprimarch
@

I feel like then at some point the brush is trying to pick up the glaze I just put down😮

@kudosbudo
@

Time to try this.

@rdmussetfarge8901
@

Maybe a bit of a basic question, but how thick is 'glaze consistency'? Like 1:1 paint to water or 1:2?

@Glindraug
@

3:45 🤩

@Mundo-de-polares
@

Oil wash’s are 100 times better than citadel so much easier and cheaper to use, yes you need a thinner but modellers have been using oil washes forever. GW will never recommend it as there is no profit for them in recommending another paint system hence the need for contrast paints etc

@wstillerphotos
@

This is essentially how I learned from the local painters in my area at GW then local hobby shops.. we just kinda called it a mix of feathering/glazing/and wetblending.. I guess Glaze Drawing is the simplest and more effective term! Great video Zumi!

0:40 surely I cant be the only one triggered by how much paint is all up in the ferrule 🤢
