Sorry, but T-Rex was iconic long before that movie. Yes, the movie was also iconic and kick-started dinosaur cinema. However, the T-Rex's reputation was just as strong before it came out as after. The statement you're making credits the film with much more influence in regard to T-Rex than it actually had.
In truth, the film leveraged that existing reputation; it did not create it

So you continue to say nonsens and misinformation. T-rex was only one of many great Dino predators. Not the biggest, not the largest and not the longest. He's just one of them. I won't even go to the species that we don't know yet off, it's enought to mention the giganotosaurus, and the T-rex is already less of a king. Chill, you kdo not know enought to make a credible documentary.

I believe the thing was probably a scavenger. It probably had to shift its weight to each leg as it walked to maintain balance. That would have restricted its ability to run fast enough to catch anything. Its size would have easily allowed it to bully other animals and take their kill so there was no need for the ability to run.

Worth a subscription, definitely. I am a veteran consumer of Paleontology youtube and I still watch his videos above others (even Astrum original channel VO is not as good as him!)

@MisterTeeDilong is one of the oldest tyrannosaurids we know of. So much so that it's not a true tyrannosaurid, but rather a basal or pre-tyrannosaurid, possessing the signature traits like a (Slightly) enlarged head and (Slightly) shorter arms than other similarly sized therapods of the time (Around 130mya) but still possessing 3 fingers and slight nasal ridges which were receding from the days of therapods like Dilophosaurus, which had 4 fingers and very pronounced brow ridges. It's currently one of the best examples we have of feathered tyrannosaurids since it didn't live in a cold climate, in fact volcanic activity was common.

Next month; Spinosaurus was aircraft carrier sized and sabeltoothed. I expect T. Rex to have lazer turrets and be 50 mega tons by the end of this decade
