This Is My Basement: The Ultimate Animal Room (Tour)
Video Overview & Insights
Last year I designed and built the new animal room. Since then, I've been slowly adding things to it to fulfill my vision of a unique space dedicated to showcasing what’s possible within nature design. It’s still a work in progress, and things will change significantly in the following year, but I’m extremely excited to share it with you all today. This is the updated look at the room and all my animals as of December 2023.
It took nearly 200 hours to script, film, and edit this tour of the new animal room. I hope that you all enjoy the updated look of it all and the animals. I'm really pleased with how it's coming together and can't wait to show you all what I have planned for 2024. Until then, enjoy this video and enjoy the holiday weekend SerpaSquad! 💚 Also, what your favorite setup/animal in the room. Let me know! 👇🏻

Very silly, a general question. But I appreciate all your work from the beginning. Till now, how much would you personally charge to slowlly, But surely build someone or replicate a room like this.However long it took,.
Thank you
P s and if not, you personally, are there companies that could, of course, for the right price, build out these kind of things in people's homes?

Tanner you are so a very talented . I admire the love you have for your animals. I watched one video and couldn't stop clicking to the next one . I am more of a cat lover and I always say " I work hard so my cats have a better life " I believe this saying holds true for you. I have one question that I ask myself when i see videos showing your basement. Did you also design this space . By picking paint colors , furniture and design of the lay out. If you did you are missing another one of your talents. It is a calming and inviting space. Great space 5 Stars. Your animals do look happy and I did laugh when I saw Tony using the bathroom outside his enclosure. Have a great day thank you for sharing your hobby with us.

Really cool tanks. I especially like the plants you used. My favorite tank was your frog tank. And it's really nice to hear that you meticulously thought out the best living situation for them considering they aren't the best swimmers. However I personally don't know if this is important for African dwarf frogs, but should they have a place to rest that is out of the water or near the surface? Please let me know what you think because I think I might want to get some.
34:44 Bearded Dragon Bioactive Vivarium
36:23 How I Maintain All of This
Your animals are very lucky to have you.

You are blowing my mind. I started a father fish system tank 7 months ago. That's the extent of my experience. I've been thinking about aquascaping but what you're doing is a whole new level. I didn't know that plants growing out of the tank did a better job than the aquatic plants I'm learning about. I'm in. I want to start doing this. Thank you
@MrMewsique3:41 and I was told that the material the caves are made of is a cause of the annoying algae also
@ChunL33I'd love to see your take on an Axolotl tank that resembles their natural habitat in lake Xochimilco, as that's what I'd love to do for my axolotl.
@chelseaparr-l3sI was just visiting your web page. I am glad I subscribed back when. I am retired and live in a single wide "Motor estate" Aka trailer in a senior's park. I'd like to separate it with a paludarium and freshwater fish that are happy at room temperature. I think it would be far more interesting than a wall. Who knows if I'll do it. I have too many other major science oriented tech and organic chemistry projects. Nevertheless, I enjoy the inspiration. There is a surplus glass shop up the street where I can get old sliding glass doors, and large window glass pretty cheap...
@jameshicks7125Sangat keren..
@BahtiarVlogdelilah gently holding tanners hand at 29:55 is so sweet
@sarah-hj7fzalligator snappers exist in FDR PARK...AND IVE HEARD HORROR STORIES OF monsters....oops caps... philadelphia has DINOSARSE BY THE AIRPORT
@MaxXHavokKJust found your channel. Dude you’re doing awesome. I just started getting into raising fish. It’s addictive. I’m a fisherman out in the pnw and have a bunch of guilt after watching some of these videos. Steelhead go through hell and back to spawn. I wish I could follow one healthy steelhead for its entire lifetime. It’s fascinating. Anyway I just think your channel is super inspiring.
@Wildchild7374You're very talented with your habitat design.
@Badgardener52please, lose the vocal fry! It made me swipe left after the first minute, although I really would have liked to take the tour with you...
@hjs5686Not 100% sure if I'm ready to commit to anything big yet, but I recently stumbled upon vivarium content like yours and am fascinated. Currently just consuming all the videos I can and maybe one day i'll start small with isopods or a shrimp jar. Your work is stunning and I love how happy all your critters are!
@courtneya.1849legendary
@kimathi9487Big Tony is giving the beardie side-eye like a pro 😂

@shelbyjohnson9790I love the gifting you've been given in understanding your critters and their care, very enjoyable to watch, i hope that you continue doing well with YouTube for your channel is wonderful!
@kevinoconnor4646What's the plant shown at 15:54? I love it! And is it an underwater plant? because that would be amazing!!
@isa.ceciliaEnrichment for all animals, me included.
@Su-newJust watched this again, it's come a long way since this, but was epic even back then.
@veronica5896Great setups. I dont get why theres no interesting lizards or other species and instead theres things like a single spider in a huge tank, Is there a reason he doesn't keep any interesting or less common animals? seems like a waste with all these amazing setups and barely any interesting animals in them. You can just go to petco and see the same stuff.
@dc25CSUMaaaate... outstanding as per your usual high standard 😎
@rastusdarklord4325That vocal fry is awful. Sound like a Valle in girl.
@Tgrundle2000Love this tour video and the message at the end ❤
@michaelakilander2645Rice fish would be a great add to any of the tanks!
@tmreptileWow, your amazing dude!
