Hey, thanks for the script!
Since I no longer work with Illustrator, I built this for Affinity 3 instead.
It works exactly the same way.

nice, you could probably add some tilt/rotate, overlap and randomize too. oh, and can you fix the pen tool for us too, so it's more like inkscape's spiro spline? thanks.

Awesome! Now, what about adding an over-ride for anything you want to span two or three or multiple columns? Like the Aurora logo in the first example spanning two or the description for Ian's work spanning three columns?

This is incredibly useful and fills a huge gap in Illustrator! I’m currently working on a few scripts of my own for designers and will be releasing them to my followers as soon as they're ready. This video just gave me some awesome extra motivation. Thanks so much for the presentation and for sharing the plugin! πŸ™Œ

Blank panel on mac 26.5.1, the newest Illustrator.

How to make it work?

In terminal paste this code:

for v in 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16; do defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.$v PlayerDebugMode 1; done
killall cfprefsd

HI, Unfortunately, the plugin panel definitely appears as empty. I installed as instructed into the Library through the USER folder and the extension does NOT appear. Then I installed into the Library in the main HD, and the extension does appear, but empty. Working with the latest version of Illustrator 30.5.1.

Just installed for Mac running Illustrator 2026, the Widget docks, but there is nothing in the panel.

I'm having the same issue as some other users have already mentioned: just a blank panel with no options. I'm on Windows 10, running the current version of Illustrator. And yes, it appears in Illustrator's extensions list.

Very cool! How is it doing it? Is it stretching some images slightly, or cutting them off?
