Thinking about moving to Summerlin, Las Vegas? Hold up—watch this first.
Green valley looks nice. I plan to move to the las vegas area when i finish school.
Everyone's talking about Summerlin like it's the ultimate place to live in Las Vegas. And while it can be amazing, there are a few things you need to know before you buy or rent here. I’m breaking down the real pros and cons of Summerlin living—from schools, traffic, and HOA rules to resale value, amenities, and hidden costs most people miss.

Which areas have as good (or better) schools than Summerlin? I'm living in Irvine, CA and like that sort of place so probably a good fit for Summerlin based on the description. I would be able to move to Las Vegas with the same salary (so considerably more take home pay without State Taxes and Disability Insurance). If there are other areas like it with good schools (particularly Elementary), would be good to check out to, but probably Summerlin is the best match to Irvine. Also is it true it's a little cooler than the rest of Vegas due to the elevation?

Summerlin has higher elevation that’s the only reason I’d consider it. I don’t like cookie cutter so cal neighborhoods

@prabhriatIt’s overhyped, overpriced, and overrated. Yes, it’s nice, but there are many nicer areas around town. It lacks diversity, good restaurant options and is too far from the strip & airport. The Southwest is where it’s at!
@beaumacAnother great video! You nailed it on head about Summerlin. It has very little character. We moved to LV a few years ago with some help by Laci and love it here! Touring a few home in Summerlin and we knew it wasn't for us. We're from Northern California and it is a completely different culture than Southern California. Nothing is Summerlin is organic. There are fantastic events in Summerlin and it doesn't take long to drive there from other areas. Great place to visit (golfing, shopping & events), just don't want to live there. There are homes in great neighborhoods with no HOAs in this valley. Just keep looking and be patient. Check out Centennial Hills, Sky Pointe, Aliante, Green Valley, Southwest, etc. Your next home is here if you are honest & open to yourself & realtor about your expectations. Welcome to Vegas! It's all here and more if you search and put out the effort. Summerlin wasn't for us yet 15 minutes away Centennial Hills is where we landed. Thanks, Laci!
@samueljackson8634Hi, do you need an editor
@buboogigglelandI find this video absolutely perfect including the storyteller. The information you provide is invaluable.
@aaaaaaa1ismTotally agree—Summerlin sounds amazing but it’s not all sunshine, and I love how you broke that down. Super helpful and real. Btw, where’s the best place to reach out if I have a quick question?

@TheadventureofmasonIf I ever moved to Las Vegas, Summerlin would not be on my list. Thank you for the video to reconfirm what I thought.
@edmalz2765Great info as always. The key is to stay just outside the Summerlin msster planned HOA area...
