Henry is wrong here in my humble opinion

Thwbrwf should have stopped the match and declare senegal forfeit the match. I agree the refs were paid by senegalese to not stop the game. What a corrupted system. Morocco should be awared the cup period

Henry am sorry but your analysis is biased...the truth must prevail at all circumstances, a game must be won on a pitch NOT in FIFA and CAF saloons.

@tatuha523To win by chaos is not something that I would teach my kids !
@zak9-pa96x7Senegal made africa shame

@bongekilesibiya8736MICKEY MOUSE CAF
@bongekilesibiya8736he was diplomatic, just say it , corruption and corrupted referees :D
@simopr09What about Morocco stealing towels from keepers!
@funwicheThe trophy is back with the rightful owners! 🏆 Justice was served in the courtroom, even if the pitch said otherwise. 🇲🇦
@YoussefZOGGAGHSays the guy with a handball vs Ireland. It’s not the players, it’s the referees 😂
@Chris2elacShould we just watch such injustices bcoz of stupid rules which favors the few... Y do u ppl ignoring the motives hehind their actions let us not pick sides here we cannot tolerate such injustices anymore Senegal they got every reason to behave the way they've behaved even a grade r child can c that.. ❤
@ArsenioRibeiro-cd5ppSenegal are right to leave the stadium you can not be ripped and can't do nothing enough is enough
The corruption it's everywhere
People are crying over the towels like it's a big deal 🙄
@nk3034-u6uLol, come on lets be HOENEST. The Ref was corporate, incompete, and very IDIOTIC. I hope they fired him.... with matches, parafin, and everything😂😂
@JeffreyEpstein-69-67-v4yThe rules (especially the FIFA statutes and those of continental confederations like CAF or UEFA) leave referees and associations virtually no leeway when a team leaves the pitch without authorization.
Here are the three critical points explaining why the rules are so "merciless" in this case:
1. The "factual decision" vs. "protest"
No right to a protest break: The rules simply do not allow a team to interrupt the game to protest a referee's decision (such as the penalty awarded to Morocco).
The consequence: As soon as the team leaves the pitch, this is considered a forfeit. The fact that Senegal returned after 15 minutes does not, according to a strict interpretation, change the fact that the act of "refusal" had already been committed.
2. Article 84 of the CAF Statutes
This article is crucial in the current case:
It states that a team that refuses to play or leaves the field before the match has ended automatically forfeits the match 0-3 and is also disqualified from the tournament.
The problem for Senegal: The federation argues that the "refusal" was remedied after 15 minutes. However, the CAF panel says: The rule violation occurred the moment the last player left the pitch.
3. The Referee's Role
This is the only point on which the CAS could intervene:
If the referee recorded the leaving of the pitch as an official stoppage (e.g., to calm the situation) in the match report, Senegal would have a chance.
However, if he recorded it as an unauthorized departure, the subsequent 0-3 forfeit is almost inevitable, regardless of the final score.
The rules are so strict to prevent teams from using the "threat of abandonment" as a tactical means to put pressure on the referee.
Theirry Henry is Speaking like a politician. just go direct to the point.
@DanielhopeOsaweThat's crazy 😧
@Stalin-ArtisteIt is unfair to put the blam on the senegalese team. You must take into account the reasons that puch the The senegalese team to leave the pitch. They felt betrayed and cheated in the eyes of the world. They were right to protest and it can be understoo.
@MLY_Ra4791How many teams will create similar incidents if leaving the pitch isn't punished? The coach was totally responsible and he should be held accountable for destroying all the chances his team had.
@Omar-bh7ybAsk him about his hand ball
@azizrh-f8iWhat about,the behaviours of the ball boys ,with the face towels
@Charles-h1m1nThierry Henry always seems to try to say something good, but he ends up just saying stupid things.
@MrMbutubeAfricans must boycott world cub and Afcon? FIFA is maffia,Africans brothers and sisters come together and boycot evrything of FIFA and Afcon? 🫶🏿🇪🇹.
@zebibacker0423If you are more offended by Senegal walking off in protest against a fixed match than THE MATCH BEING FIXED, then you have nothing of value to bring to the conversation.
@EyeMixMusic#🇸🇳 SENEGAL LIONS AFRICA'S ONE AND ONLY CHAPION 2026 💯 🏆💪🏾✊🏾💖💞💕💝 "MAROC 💰 CAF🤪"
@MAMA-AFRICA1Senegal is only good in using black magic
@khalid1KXKudos to Morocco for the second star of AFCON 2025 ⚽️.
I understand the feeling of the senegalese but it was wrong and the law had to be applied immediately. the discalification should be taken in the moment when the senegalese left the field so it could be more clear and no body became sick or goes after two months bananas 😂😂😱😂😂
The rules are clear
Next time don’t leave the pitch 🙌🏽
Don’t worry. Morocco has everything on record. The stadium camera footage, phone call logs, and all the evidence that clearly shows who was involved and what actually happened. Anyone trying to twist the story or push injustice is just exposing their own lack of understanding of facts and evidence.
There’s documented proof of the coordination, the intent to sabotage the organization, and even the premeditated planning behind it. This isn’t speculation or emotion—it’s backed by real, verifiable data. And let’s not forget the forfeit itself, which speaks volumes.
Instead of jumping to conclusions or spreading narratives without basis, people should take a step back and look at the full picture. Truth doesn’t disappear just because البعض chooses to ignore it. it’s there, recorded and undeniable.
Netflix! I cant wait.
watching this after caf stripped senegal afcon 2025 title 😅
@dianpriyambudiThienry let's not forget the disgraceful towels incidents...
@Monki101It is important to recall the historical truth and the real facts that many ignore about behind the scenes of this final. For those who want to know the truth, here is a summary of the facts:
📌 1. The real precedent (The CAS does not rule in 2 months)
• Many talk about express deadlines, but the real similar case of jurisprudence is the match Senegal - South Africa (2018 World Cup Qualifiers).
• The South Africans were winning and already celebrating their qualification in the streets.
• Senegal appealed to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport), which obtained the annulment and ordered the match to be replayed... 364 days later! Almost 1 year of waiting for justice to rule, we are very far from the 2 months.
📌 2. The refereeing scandal (The confessions on Canal+)
• You have to listen to the interview of Olivier Safari (head of CAF referees) on Canal+ (the report is available on YouTube).
• He publicly confesses to direct interference during the final: instructions given to the referee not to blow the final whistle, and strict orders to not give any yellow cards to the Senegalese players .
• The consequence? 4 Senegalese players already had a yellow card. If the referee had applied the rules, they would have seen red and Senegal would have finished the match with 7 players. It was mathematically impossible for Senegal to win under these conditions.
📌 3. Results changed AFTER the match, it happens all the time!
If some believe that a result is set in stone at the final whistle, here are some historical reminders where appeals reversed everything after the match:
• Serbia - Albania (Euro 2016 Qualifiers) : The match was abandoned. UEFA initially gave the victory to Serbia. Albania appealed to the CAS. Months later , the CAS annulled the decision and gave the final victory (3-0 by forfeit) to Albania.
• Celtic Glasgow - Legia Warsaw (Champions League 2014) : Legia crushed Celtic on the pitch. But Celtic filed a complaint after the match because the Poles brought on a suspended player for the last 4 minutes. Result inverted: UEFA awarded a 3-0 victory to Celtic, who qualified instead of Legia!
• Real Madrid - Cadiz (Copa del Rey 2015) : Real Madrid won 3-1 on the pitch. Cadiz filed an appeal right after the match due to the presence of Denis Cheryshev (suspended). Result? Real Madrid lost the match by forfeit and was eliminated.
• Cape Verde - Tunisia (2014 World Cup Qualifiers) : Cape Verde beat Tunisia (2-0) on the pitch and celebrated their historic qualification. Tunisia filed an appeal for an ineligible player. FIFA annulled the result and gave a 3-0 victory to Tunisia by forfeit.
The truth always comes out. It is time for these facts to be known to everyone to restore sporting justice.
The summary is that both Senegal and Morocco are victims in this whole situation.
The referee should have stopped the match when Senegal left the pitch (a decision against Morocco).
CAF made a late decision two months after the match (a decision against Senegal).
CAF is the one to blame for everything.
Now talk about corrupt AFCON taking Senegal's victory...
@rosekt2045Thad trophy' for get it will steal in the only winner's so for example how did marocco win it back 1976 vs guinea i realy agree with you legend thiery henry the one in only thad well diserves too win it balon dro fifa will be crupt not onlly henry so many players too mention really hurts me we just can't goo back and fixed it but they need fifa give the raid player for now on 💪🏻🙏🏻
@KobraAbitulrk23To those unaware of the details in that infamous final, here are the verifiable facts:
The match was intensely competitive between the tournament's two strongest teams, marked by defensive solidity and tactical discipline, no team held a clear edge.
Near the end, Senegal earned a corner. The ball went to the far post, where a Senegalese player shoved a Moroccan defender to gain position and head it in. The referee correctly called a foul before the ball hit the bar and crossed the line, denying the goal. VAR upheld the decision.
Minutes later, Morocco got a corner. The ball reached the far post, where Díaz was pulled down by a defender grabbing his left shoulder, disrupting his jump as it sailed just over his head. The referee awarded a penalty, confirmed by VAR.
This sparked chaos: Senegal's players refused to continue, their coach ordered them off the pitch, and fans rioted, throwing objects, attacking stadium security staff and attempting to invade the field.
These reactions suggest Senegal entered with a preconceived bias, interpreting neutral calls as a conspiracy.
The referee should have ended the game decisively amid the unrest, per CAF and FIFA rules.
P.S.: Claims of Moroccan corruption don't hold up. In just five years, they've reached the World Cup semis (beating Belgium, Spain, Portugal), won the U20 World Cup, earned Olympic bronze, and dominated African youth titles (U17, U23 champions; U20 finalists). This sustained excellence across competitions defies any "hired refs" narrative .
Think this for a moment, and if you still believe your pathetic story, you must confess that you're just a salty loser, and jealous hater not capable to withstand that an African nation like yours is able to transcend beyond the limits you were taught to believe impossible to attain.
It's much easier to blame the successful ones, than engaging in an introspective criticism.
Morocco only asked to apply the law accordingly with AFCON jurisdiction.
@0xmar23xShame on Senegal for destroying the beautiful image that Morocco has showed to the World.
Pape Thiaw should be banned from CAN.
“Morocco buys referees”? Sure… that must be how you win 2 AFCON titles, 3 CHAN titles, 1 FIFA Arab Cup, 1 U23 AFCON, 1 U17 AFCON, 1 U20 World Cup, 3 Futsal AFCON titles, 1 Women’s Futsal AFCON, and an Olympic bronze medal. Bitterness doesn’t erase a trophy cabinet.
@shamimotooSHAME DISGRACE CAF.
@rifkirs8008What Jamie is saying? To bring European referees in the Africa Cup of Nations? What a disrespect. Has African referee ever officiated European competition?
Patrice Motsepe and his executives been who they are, I believe we will start to see it in the shortest possible time 😂.
Sack the current and vice president of CAF. FIFA should step up and ban them from doing rubbish. Give eto or drogba the president of CAF position
@Jay-zd9kxSenegal won, simple as that. What are they playing at.
@ox3965If the towels have juju witchcraft why doesn't Senegal win world cup ?
