I cannot wait sit until you actually fix the wall and parking space de if the girls area. It’s a dead zone compared to the back side. Even if you do a graduated planting bed of flowers and shade trees, / fruit trees, the girls would have some shade and privacy from the road. Same with the lower ledges. Those plans will be lengthy, but necessary. The other side is that trees and plants like ground cover helps with erosion. The original plans were aggressive, the finished product will be amazing, but this project is still a few years off.

Next time you want to fill a wood hole try using a same diameter stick which you glue and afterwards you cut flat, sand and stain. It is way better in the outcome

Those little touches definitely make all the difference. The ledge and the shelves look incredible. I totally understand your reluctance to make a start on some of these projects; I have been doing the same with painting the porch posts on my 128 year old home. In Victorian style I am painting the posts and the dormer decoration with 4 colors of paint so it is time consuming, but so worth it. Seeing how it is transforming the look of the house makes me want to kick myself for not getting it done earlier.

I realize it makes everything you’re doing more complicated to stop and set up the camera WHILE you’re trying to get things done.
