COURSES & CHECKLIST
I was so nervous idk why but I had terrible decision making and messed up twice
I hit the curb and forgot to yield on a green light when turning left
I knew these things before coming in but I was so nervous and wanted to get through everything faster that I just blanked.
My examiner said I was perfect at parking just forgot to signal sometimes, and maybe he just needed me to exaggerate checking as I approach intersections.
I’m scheduled a month from now so hopefully next time, now that I know what is coming, I won’t be so scared.

One of the mistakes, was a driver, who was stopped @ an intersection, & a slight movement from the intersection, & couldn't wait for me to clear the intersection! Almost collided with me!

& also. Not very often, but if some intersections, if your turning right, & if the right side of the road, has a white solid line, with green paint, that means it's a bus stop, & you have to position your car to turn right, without going inside the white solid line!

My test is in 2 hours, I have a headache, my nose is stuffed, and I’m incredibly exhausted from stress. Not like my parents have made it any better, I’ll update how it goes but many ppl have said that I do good driving so I’m praying this stress doesn’t get to me
Edit: I PASSED, the examiner even told me he was very impressed with my driving!!

MA uSA RMV does not like older first time drivers at all. But what I heard got a fail was not looking properly around to back up. Shoulder check. Thanks, good point! They really do fail for that. Esp blind areas not checking . 4 way stops are very different than two way stops. Always stop at before the line or edge of road is a big one to do properly.

I fear I forgot how to drive 💀 I passed my written test like a month ago and haven't driven since because 1. My eyesight prescription was outdated and 2. We were having vehicle troubles so we've (me and my twin sister) avoided it. All I need to do is take my drivers test and pass to get my license but I would have to do it in their vehicle because ours don't qualify since it has issues and it'd just be more money to repair and take the test in that than to pay extra to do it in their car. So I'm cooked. I'll probably want to practice in my moms car before I do the test, but my confidence in my driving skills went from 80% to 0% real fast. It's been months since I've driven and I am going to have to pay insurance on my own and I don't know if I will have to have proof of it when I get my license meaning I also need a job lined up and money in my bank for that. I am 16 and will have to cover allll my vehicle expenses, including my drivers test, which that is the only money I have for.
So yall think you're cooked? I'm cooked. It's looking like I won't be driving until I'm an adult at this point. I don't even have a vehicle of my own anyways, our extra is out of commission right now and the one we've been using is a bunch of bolts and metal thats barely holding on a thread.
Sigh.

00:00 - Top 10 Most Common Test Mistakes to Avoid
00:23 - #1) Dangers of NOT Shoulder Check
Mines is today I’m so cooked
01:09 - #2) Know the Difference Between 2- and 4-Way STOPS
02:11 - #3) Correct Stopping Positions at Controlled Intersections
Old video would love if you got back to me tho or anybody for that matter. Debate with my father on if I can let my steering wheel roll by gently letting go of it to even out a turn or is that demerit or a fail? At 8:50 you say you must keep your hands on the wheel the whole time that counts as letting go right?
02:35 - #4) Changing Lanes - Avoid These Mistakes
03:40 - #5) Signalling When Turning or Moving Vehicle Sideways - Why it Matters
Taking mine today wish me luck!!
05:00 - #6) Staying Safe: Too Close in a Line of Traffic
05:25 - #7) Incorrect Lane Positioning
I have NO intention of going faster than 30 km/h, I'm too scared of speed, for me it's the limit, if I went too fast I would lose control I'm sure of it, that's exactly why I don't even have a license because driving terrifies me deeply, not everyone is made to drive, despite this my parents insist every damn day in wanting my son to enroll in driving school again even though I already left once making them lose money.
06:32 - #8) Perfecting Your Turn Position – Don’t Cut Corners
07:16 - #9) Going Too Slow: Why Being Overly Cautious Can Fail You

Signaling and blind checking is important to do every time. Not just for the test. It is equally important to do it when you don't need to. This creates the habit. If you have to determine whether or not you NEED to fully stop at a sign, signal to turn, check your blind spots, etc, you will find yourself eventually taking risks and endangering the road. If you do these things every time, even at 2AM on an empty street, you will develop the good habits. And also, law enforcement is sneaky and likes to lurk in the shadows. If you're in a hurry, keep in mind it takes a lot longer to get pulled over and ticketed than it does to just follow the rules. It's not just for the test. If you are only doing these things for your test then you will eventually put everyone at risk with bad habits. The rules exist for a reason, even if certain situations make them seem unnecessary.

MONETARILY SUPPORTING THE CHANNEL
It seems like excessive shoulder checking is a hazard for what is in front of you. Only one shoulder check should be required. Absolutely no one I know drives like that.

This is appreciated and helps the channel, but please don't feel that it is necessary to be part of the smarter driver community.

@yourname...I know this video is 4 years old, but I had to share this. My girlfriend was doing her driving test. Now, our driving school's exit/entrance is on a hill, and there's a sharp right turn instantly, with a stop sign, and a busy road. Basically, you have to almost cut into oncoming traffic to be able to leave. She was nervous and scared, she didn't go forward enough to almost go into the other lane. She turned, turned right, then she absolutely demolished the curb. (It's a sharp right turn, you need to go forward more) Her driving test lasted about 1 minute then the tester told her to turn around because the test is over. Our driving instruxtor laughed his buttocks off
