🇲🇽 From the rough roads of Ensenada to the mountains of Italy, Isaac del Toro is turning heads at the Giro d’Italia 2025. Still just 20 years old, he’s not just surviving — he’s dominating. But who is this young Mexican talent? And how did he become the biggest revelation of the Giro 2025?
In this BIKEFLIX deep dive, we follow Del Toro’s journey from local races in Baja California to shocking the peloton in Europe.
👉 Is he the future of cycling? Or just a temporary surprise? Let’s find out.
💬 What do you think — will Isaac del Toro finish on the podium at the Giro?
Beautiful storytelling. Thank you.

@checkoayalaI first heard about this boy during the Tour last year. I was so excited! At last, a Mexican cyclist on the horizon. And here he is today.
@alidaruiz9258Last week the nationals road race was amazing! First, second place, and fifth place for Ensenada locals Torito, Frayre and Ruvalcaba. It was like a dream, just unbelievable.
@VeloTripNo es Mégsico es México ya aprendan a hablar bien ,para aprender inglés exigen acentuación ,pronunciación, aprendan español ,quu si acento Norteamérica,que si acento inglés al final son lo mismo son primos.
@MercedesCeciliaSotoPérez-k1dExcellent video.
@leonardomauriciochavezruiz9868Why would you publish this video before the end of the Giro?
@rafalpruszynski6129Thumbs up for the amazing video, the story, the telling it was almost like poetry! For once I found something nice to watch... enjoyable, refreshing! Bravo!!!
@Microbit0hey hey hey hold it right there, just because he is mexican it doesnt mean he didnt have equipment or started young or had the worldagainst him. are you asumming he didnt watch the tour live? Training alone in rough roads? wtf? you ever been to ensenada?
@darktomisioI appreciate the focus on Del Toro but I am afraid a lot of facts are actually wrong:
- Tour de l’Avenir: he won stage 6 but he didn’t win the yellow jersey that day, that day he won the KOM jersey, the yellow jersey he won it on the final stage and he won all 4 jerseys (all available: mountain, points, young rider, general classification) - first ever and only one to achieve that.
- The Mexican cycling federation didn’t help him to get to AR Monex - there is no cycling federation in Mexico.
- He won stage 2 of the Tour Down Under on 2024 (not 2025) and a 3rd place overall- it was actually his first pro race and his first pro win. So it took him two days among the big boys to get his first victory.
- Still in 2024 he got his second victory winning the GC of the Tour of Asturias and stage 1
- In 2025 he stood out as a premium domestique for Pogacar, Ayuso and Almeida: playing an impressive and key role for their victories
- Then he won Milano Torino, his first classic.
- In Itzulia Basque Country won the white jersey as the best young rider
- Then came the Giro: but he didn’t win stage 7, he won stage 17. He arrived 2nd in stage 7, stage 9, stage 11, stage 19. He was 3rd in stage 13. He won the pink jersey on stage 9 and kept it till stage 20 (the youngest rider to hold the pink jersey for that long since the 1930s). He finished 2nd overall and won the white jersey for best young rider.
Since the Giro he has earned another 11 victories in 2025 and the year isn’t over yet.
So far, since he joined the pro level, he has accumulated 16 victories. 13 of those won in 2025.
Thank you buddy for this video Mexican Community appreciate 🇲🇽🫡
@giovannyrodriguez-ramstein4753DEL TORO ESTA EN OTRO NIVEL THE BEST.
@eduardoreneseat704This kid will win LaVuelta spain,ElGiro and the Tour of France just keep eye on him.his ready to make his own history.
@eduardoreneseat704Great video, but there’s some mistakes I think. Del Toro’s podium in Tour Down Under was in January 2024; he was third in the prologue and won the second stage. That means that he was third the first time he rode as professional, the third time he won his first stage, and he was third in his first Stages tournament
He didn’t win the 7th stage in Giro 2025, he leads from the 9th-20th stages and won only the 17th and the Giro wasn’t his first Grand, it was La Vuelta in 2024. Great channel, I am fan
muchisimo talento , PEROMUYJOVEN SIN EXPERENCIA INTERNACIONAL,necesita mas tiempo en equipos internacionales , GRAN FUTURO
@carlospoor8014At just 21 years old, Isaac del Toro has already made waves in the cycling world, emerging as a prodigious talent from the unlikeliest of places—Ensenada, Mexico, a city famed for the grueling Baja 1000 and Baja 500 off-road races, as well as its mouthwatering fish tacos. Few would have predicted that this coastal hub, known for roaring engines and desert dust, would produce a cycling phenom capable of dominating international competitions. Del Toro’s rapid rise, marked by fearless racing and podium finishes, is a testament to his raw talent and relentless drive. Kudos to BikeFlix for crafting such an engaging narrative, capturing the magic of Del Toro’s journey with vivid storytelling. As for Isaac himself, his smile—radiant and unshaken—says it all: "A champion’s joy isn’t just in victory, but in the ride itself." Here’s to many more triumphs for Ensenada’s unexpected star.
@ZhuZhus-c8sNo empezo en el AR MONEX en el 2023, empezo desde años antes
@carlosdelv.8548areyou😂
@kabobsyea9985He is giving us HOPE!!! Isaac gracias!!!
@carolinaorozco47I've loved cycling since I was a kid and have over 10 years of experience in video editing. I'd be happy to edit your videos just for fun—not for money. So you will be able to post 2 videos each week. And we will enjoy the content.
@rayanzahir-vm7lzEn México nuevos padres siempre nos enseñan un dicho que siempre debemos tener presente "No vengo a ver si puedo, sino porque puedo vengo." 🤩🤩🤩
@roxelbrHe was not sponsored nor helped by any Mexican sports institution. So far is known his family, friends and private entities did it.
@FernandoRdz-q9eGiro d'Italia number 108 in history, a one us, Mexican cycling fans, will never forget.
@a.campos891His capitulation of the pink jersey tell me all I need to know .Real champions don't give up ,it was a total embarrassment and he won't get a better chance again
He will win nothing now
A respectful and poetic narrative of this young cyclist. Now we know more about Isaac del Toro. Thanks for that!
@silviatorres3919Oh my god.... oh my god... this is so great, amazing documentary!!!!! amazing indeed... I would love to see Isaac with Jonas in the same team... i believe both would be ideal to become the next demolition ultimate team ever. At this point some people criticize him for not being behind the wheel of Yates... f-them I say, he is a hero, he lighted our hearts with joy, the rest is bs... and your are truly right, in our country cycling is a neccesity or a hobby, but not a lifestyle, we can not afford or dare to do that because is not possible, and because people look bikers with certain contempt, as football is the "national" sport.
I love cycling since I was born, and this story is even more compelling, because you can notice that Isaac is humble, and he has this naive-assassin air that draws attention.
I truly hope that he stays true to himself, his legs, his mind, his body, but specially his lion-brave-heart will take him to uncharted territory in a world dominated by Europeans.
Thaks UAE for giving him the opportunity to shine... however I still think that he would be better with Jonas than with Tadej, if this is a dumb reasoning, ask Yates (he owes big time to Wout!) Can't wait to see next events!
Is he that good? Apparently not.
@DougBeeWhat a beautiful history;thank you for it is BEAUTIFUL
@marthaurbina1884Viva Mexico :D
@temoatzinvalencia9732Tadej is King!

@dilligaf2818Tour down under was his first pro competition 2024, that the only thing you may mixed. But great report!
@loba7ytUAE has excellent nutritionists 😅
@paulopacificiThe sadly true Before the 2025 season only hundreds new about Issac career, now sports media mostly soccer Focus jumps over de cycling wagon....
