@1_BIHARIQuite funny how we get this era of « The world champion get eliminated in pools the next edition » from 2002 to 2018 :
🇫🇷 98 France win -> 2002 eliminated in pools
🇮🇹 2006 Italy win -> 2010 eliminated in pools
🇪🇸 2010 Spain win -> 2014 eliminated in pools
🇩🇪 2014 Germany win -> 2018 eliminated in pools
The only exception was Brasil winning 2002 and getting to quarters in 2006 and France getting to the final both in 2018 and 2022.
Now we just wait and see if Argentina gets eliminated in pools to know if France was an exception too or if it’s the end of the curse…

@TondaPomI just want to say that my country Costa Rica had their best WC run in 2014, no one believed that the small nation could survive the death group but it was a surprise when they came on top with 2 wins and a draw only to beat Greece and then finally lose to the Netherlands only by penalties. Im sure they could’ve gone to the semis.
