One of your best videos. Very informative anda little scary. Decades ago the 1st time I was in Vegas I started wandering around with zero knowledge of the area, I was very lucky.

Although Las Vegas is an amazing place to visit for a vacation, and a great place to be living in, like any large metro area, it does have its bad neighborhoods. When you are planning your trip to Sin City, looking for things to do, tips to save money, how to do Vegas cheap, what hotel you stay in, etc. you will want to keep safety in mind. This video is full of advice that you can use when you are planning your vacation activities. I show you several places near the tourist areas during the daytime and nighttime so that you can make the best decision for your vacation, whether you are a single man or woman solo traveler, a couple, or a family bringing their kids to Vegas. Even though these neighborhoods overall have high crime, and many locals will tell tourists to avoid them, we are also going to highlight several of the positive aspects in each spot as well. The video will focus more on the strip and downtown (Fremont Street area), and not the outer areas or North Las Vegas or Henderson.

I got a great deal on a place in Vegas but when I got to Vegas I wasn't a hotel it was a" gambling hall ".the real test came later I had a room by the pool and the women from the room next door asked if I wanted to have some fun . I declined any fun but I let her hit the blzy a few times.

Why don’t they clean those areas up? Bulldoze the old apartments and abandoned buildings and build nice new housing. Makes no sense. Who is your mayor and city council and why don’t they Clean Up Las Vegas???

Lived in Rhode Ranch for 4 years. Worked at Eastern and Flamingo. The Aztec was my jam. The bartenders and regulars were people, whom albeit, were of a different occupation as me, took me in and I loved every one of them. Even to this day, just because someone may find a different way to make money, doesn't mean they're out to get, or even harm you. Went to karaoke nights with them many times to Ellis, walked over to Bourbon Street and they would never let me walk back alone. Loved our England cousins who came to visit too. They had penny VP at the bar, $0.05 max bet. Had a key attached to a spoon for the bathroom. Definitely not the Wynn, but just a group of people who needed people. And no one judged, but had a great time together. I'll never forget it.

Would you say the homeless and crime in Vegas is worse than Portland? I’ve been in rough areas in Portland and though most of the city looks green and somewhat polished theres really sketchy things going on around here

@bjorn3923

I saw a homeless man near the country club once.. I just ran!

I don't eat anywhere called Lefty Js ever!

I would do everything I could (legal ofcourse) to get out of that environment, why on earth would anyone continue to live in those areas and bring up kids there?

@IamRu1964

Next to the strip is high crime. I wonder why. Because of people getting lost and wonder off of strip and they become targets.

@newyorkhardcore3353
@

In 1968 I lived right off Flamingo close to the strip, it was beautiful, sometimes I walked pass Betty Grables house to see my friends that lived on the Desert Golf Course by the Church, there was zero crime now it's a thug's paradise :-)

The worst parts are the casinos and bars! They cheat/ripoff anybody. Robbery! THEN THEY SMILE IN YOUR FACE AND REQUEST YOU TO COME BACK AGAIN TO GET SCREWED OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!! 🤨

@arn-w9s

Why is a weekly stay for a hotel a bad sign?

Also, I heard the area with the Pawn Stars shop is pretty sketchy. True?

@traxan650

With the information given why would anyone live there? 😮

So last Vegas is like every other large western city... Poverty crime next door to Riches and opulence

I'm in Las Vegas right now and there's no way in hell you can convince me that there are thousands of homeless people here in the town let alone thousands in that tunnel system you're full of s*** liar

Other than the strip everything in Vegas is abandon. Ruins of the 1960's. Vegas, it's a haven for illegal aliens

Haha this was a fun watch, I just ran through most of these areas at the Rock n Roll Half marathon. It was fine there was a lot of security but dark is still dark. I almost ate it twice!

Glad you didn't use that stupid term 'unhoused'...they're homeless, making up a term that lame leftists find 'nicer' is so stupid.

9:10 the mole people live beneath Vegas...they're like vermin and are the real 'street rats' as described by Jafar in Aladdin, although they're more like subterranean rats/vermin

@ShockerTopper
@

i stayed at the strat during the start of the pandemic and I could not believe how awesome and luxurious this hotel seemed and then you step outside and literally across the street you see run down motels and apartments, some with broken windows. It’s sketchy af over there

In the 90s I took a cab from Sahara and asked the driver to drive me to a strip club. Short drive direction Freeway. There I had a look around and finally played pool all night with a black. He was much better than me and it cost me a little. In the morning after sunrise we both walked back to the Sahara and split. He wanted buffet and I just a continental breakfast. Never felt unsafe and I think we walked along Naked City. Good memories!

Anywhere 3-4 blocks east or west off the strip.....is a serious NO GO !!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a police officer for LVMPD for a decade. If you find yourself on a street named after a President and the cross street is a letter, GTFO. Known to the police as "William" area. The most dangerous neighborhood in Vegas.

@stevenlarrabee3438
@

14:20 he says if someone comes out of the tunnels you don't know what kind of state they're in yes you do just assume they're in a heavy psychosis lol for real. If you don't assume they're dangerous and in some type of psychosis you're f**** stupid

@richiereeves4071

7:30. I remember driving past that little Mexican restaurant.

That little section of the strip seems so out of place. It's like a no Man's Land that connects the old strip to the new strip

@richiereeves4071

It's so funny hearing him say all these bad areas. I grew up in Vegas from 5-9 years old, me and my older would always walk the "worst" areas in Vegas. I felt the most comfortable in the so called, bad areas, then in the ok areas😂😂

@ReDDawn187

The area you showed by the strat looks bad but its not that bad at all it just looks creepy im a whiteboy but not a scary whiteboy i can handle anyone that comes at me so i stayed at the strat to see how it was and the strat was garbage the room had a hole in the wall when i got to my room ,look like a prostitute got thrown thru the wall ,but when i called the desk they said we can move u but youll have to wait for the next room thats available or you can chose to stay in that room. I thought oh im just sleeping here who cares about the hole in the wall ill just make due instead of having to wait around for the next room to be available and then moving my things .but the nightmare started when i got home ! They tried to bill my credit card for the damage i had my card locked though so they couldnt . I immediately canceled the card so they woulsnt have the number and then called the hotel! I couldnt ever get the manager on the phone just the run around so after 4 or 5 different calls i was done ! I just wont ever go back to that dump! The propertys a dump! So when i wemt back to vegas 6 months later i went straight to the strat and confronted the people at the fromt desk they just put it off on the manager and that he was the only 1 who can fix it ! I went back 4 times and he avoided me everytime finally the 5th day i waited at the entrance to his office and caught him as soon as he came in! He was a weasel ! He tried to dodge me because he knew i was mad and the employees told him i kept showing up looking for him
So he didnt wanna deal with it ! Well all he did is say do u have proof that the wall was already like that ,i said no but ypur house cleaning knew i didnt do it but now that u hid from me for almost a year those people domt even work here anymore plus they probably wouldnt remember if they were there! So basically said he would go an try to find the house cleaning an see if they remember an that was the last i saw of the weasel ! I couldnt ever find him after that an the employees just kept lieing so i finally left and just said there loss ! I just wont ever stay here again! And after that i was done !never looked back ive been staying at mgm grand and other nicer propertys ,even circa was very nice ! Anyhow the area around the strat is not that bad! I walked all thru it to i think it was called oasis dispensary it was a good distance from the strat in that neborhood , im not talking about the now cookies 🍪 dispensary used to be (essence las vegas) thats right actoss the street im talking about this place was a good distance in the middle of the hood ,but the hood was not bad it just looked rough! If u mind your biz you wont have any problems! Hope this helps

There are neighborhoods near the base to avoid also. We were stationed there and just moved 4 yrs ago, I do miss the good friends I made there wanted to stay but was too expensive for housing

I lived in Las Vegas for 20 yrs . Here is a Fun Fact: Don't feel safe in those weekly hotel suites. The drug dealers are paying/working in conjunction with security. 100% of the time!

I was at that park about 10 years ago probably we went to play soccer there but everyone gather around us until we had to play with them and looser went out easily more then 50 people gather around that park it felt hostile everyone was trying to fight to keep the field it’s rough neighbors fs lots of blacks selling drugs

Seriously thank-you, I visit Las Vegas once per year on vacation, however I did not realize most of the material in this video, I am glad to have seen this and moving forward I will definitely know, not where to go in this city !

I lived at maycliffe rv park and mini storage on E. Sahara and lamb, the night after I left the 7-11 across the street was robbed, despite doing what the robber demanded, the clerk was shot and killed. Terrible Herbst I was suspicious of the day my parents had orientation and the first thing the person said was "When you get robbed..."
