keep the ebrake on for hill start, just add gas and clutch to go. Much easier then taking the handbrake off as the handbrake comes off automatically

It's a year ago but I'm still going to comment this because it's something I noticed and something I did often when I was learning. Adam's braking isn't / wasn't the problem or should I say it wasn't the main problem? He saw that he had to brake ahead but put the clutch down fully early on. He was coasting and had no engine braking helping him slow down and it's something I did a lot early on.

I don't think these automatic handbrake help the driver at all . Clutch control and manual handbrake shows good hand feet thinking co ordination.

I did my mock test with my instructor made 8 serious faults my instructor was like what the heck are you doing went into my test 0 minors until I got back to the test centre made a silly embarrassing mistake avoiding hitting a Deep pothole and didn't check my mirror such a good drive I opened my mouth and said I didn't check my mirror the examiner was willing to let it go as it was a very safe smooth drive my instructor said give the examiner a smooth drive he face palmed after I said I didnt check my mirror the examiner said to me that so many learners hit that pot hole on return to the centre well i knew I had passed didn't bother me taking the minor on the chin just outside the test centre

Holdming his foot above the clutch most the time is a no no. And the clutch would not be happy, only the garage when you need a new one.

Sorry to be a bit gloomy. My friend lost her 18 year old daughter Nicola in a powerful car, been driven by her boyfriend who had recently passed his test, his parents allowed him to take the car in icey weather. My point is, it's great passing your test, but never forget, a car, any vehicle, is a potential death trap. I think these realities should be incorporated into lessons. Nicola had a driving lesson booked for the afternoon on the morning she died. As i said, i apologise for being gloomy. RIP Nicola ❤️

I cannot understand anyone with their test in just 2 days would want a mock test.
Far better to book a 2 hour lesson and say, "I have my test in 2 days, can you try to improve me as much as you can over the next 2 hours?" without obviously a promise from you to take him on test.
What if his MT is a disaster....his confidence will be rock bottom,
You have to wonder about their Instructor....or maybe their Instructor says they are not ready and the pupil wants to go ahead with the test anyway.

Just passing by to say that I was watching this video last night. Today I passed my driving test on the 5th attempt at the ripe old age of 38 years old. If you are currently in the same process and watching videos to hype yourself up, please believe me that it is possible. My leg shaked on the clutch even now on my 5th attempt, and I had a major freakout yesterday that I'm never gonna pass, it's just not in me. :) Remember, confidence doesn't come from succes, confidence comes from overcoming failure. You got this!
