All those killings, went from serial killing to genocide on women. And for the FBI not to be called, tells me multiple, to maybe the whole police force was involved. Don’t forget, there wasn’t background checks on cops back then. So any Tom, Dick or Harry could’ve been hired as a cop. Most unsolved murders from the 70’s to 80’s were done by dirty cops.

— @randall44lee

Video Description: Over the course of eight months between 1976 and 1977, at least five women would be murdered in remarkably similar ways. In the years before and after, other similar murders would be examined as the public feared a serial killer was in their midst

I do search and rescue. Everytime I get near the woods, water sources, ditches and fields I wonder who's out there we haven't found. YET. If god forbid you ever run across a dead body, get out of that area immediately. Killers frequently come back to those sites for all kinds of reasons. Those bodies are souvenirs for some. Some come back to see the decomposition progress. To help wildlife eat it and break up the remains to make it harder to determine COD. Some of them think that site is THEIR property. Immediately contact the police and get away from it. And killers frequently show up to search for their bodies victims. To distract the search. To be "heroes " . And they frequently show up at the funerals. To try and ascertain the status of the case. To enjoy the grief of mourners. There are NO BOUNDARIES for human audacity and sadism. None.

I absolutely love your videos and the work you put into them, my only feed back is please stop referring to children victims as young women when they are younger than 18, they’re kids and it needs to be said

She was pregnant when she died and they thought the fact that her boyfriendw DNA was on her was proof he killed her? Make it make sense

Looking at the first police sketch of the killer I would say that it was big foot that killed them !

United States is and always be the serial killer capital of the world .👍
The next top 10 countries combined
Doesn’t come close.
Back in the 1970s there were 20 serial killers roaming the streets of Los Angeles in that decade alone.
I never met one, I did see Richard Ramirez the night, stalker running and trying to hide the thing is it was the projects in Boyle Heights and it’s easy to get stuck from all the dead ends. there was a bounty on his head, and I was about to go after him, but there were too many people already on his tail. He would be caught about 30 minutes later. He also got busted up pretty good by the citizens.. I ran into a few serial killers over in the Los Angeles County Jail back in the late 1970.

That creepy police sketch with the thick eyebrows looks like Edward Surrat. He was from Aliquippa, outside of Pittsburgh, and was responsible for a string of brutal murders in the late 70s throughout Western PA and Ohio. Ambridge is right across the Ohio river from Aliquippa. He also had victims in Clinton/Imperial in Findlay Twp.

sounds like the 12 year old's parents knew the killer. They made a phone call to get them out of house so they could kidnap their daughter

I’m from this area as well. I once had a flight tire on i70 around Washington pa. I had a guy help me to change my tire and then insist I needed to get in his car, he then asked me if I had any weapons on me and kept saying how dangerous it was. Then he said how crazy it was that this same thing just happened to him but the girl ended up at his house. I just kept saying that I had my gun on me always and that my family was 5 minutes away and expecting to see me soon. I always wondered what would have happened if I got into that man’s car.

I never knew about any of these murders. My aunt and uncle lived within a mile of Barbara Lewis’ house. I used to go to their house all of the time back in the 70’s. Crazy.

If you have any DNA of a perpetrator today, it can be solved through Emilio DNA, but you have to have money to do that and most likely nobody cared then about these women because they weren’t rich and nobody cares today about these women because the families aren’t rich, so only the rich get justice in this country and only the rich get the justice that they could pay for the rest of us are if you see K tell her I said hi

Guess how you catch a serial killer? Just like fishing you use bait, cops put a child or woman out at a place where the killer feels comfortable and stake it out, seems to easy right? That's because this has LE being the perp all over it, I believe a lot of serial killings are this way and a criminal that fits the crime is picked out as a scapegoat

@fremont66

Based on my studies on profiling there are probably 3 different killers.

Man, Im from Germany and while there are a lot of 6 offenders here, we thankfully have not a lot of murder cases. Of couse, this changed over the years due to the migration of muslims; but things like child murder is something that occurs very rarely.
Its so sickening and sad to hear that so many young boys and girls are being viciously killed in the US. And the worst part is that many of the murderers grow old in freedom. Such a catastrophix situation.

It was one foggy morning around 1966 or 1967 when I was walking to the bus stop. I was around 6 or 7 at the time. I lived in rural Beaver County, PA in the South Side School District. A light-yellow car pulled into my driveway. Two men got out of the car and started to walk toward me. I turned and ran back into the house. Our family was living in a basement dwelling at the time. I locked the door behind me and told my mother. She wanted me to go back to the bus stop, but I refused to go. Finally, she walked outside with me to the bus stop and the men and car were gone. Years later, when I was in my 30's and sitting at my parent's kitchen table, we were talking and I mentioned this incident. My father looked startled and asked, "Did that really happen?" I said, "Yes. Didn't Mom tell you?" My mother looked shocked and said, "I thought you were making it all up because you didn't want to go to school!" Over the years, I've often wondered about those two men and if they were connected to any missing children from southwestern PA.

I remember this. I grew up just a few miles from where one of the girls was murdered. I was in the 6th grade and it was scary.

What sbout some of the priests in the area? Totally going down the Sister Cathy Netflix show rabbit hole but were there any convicted priests in any diocese at that time??? Maryland is not that far away. The golden ring investigation of 2018, possible links to this area and the serial killings in Detroit and Kalamazoo are there any connections to the Catholic priests at that time?

It's incredible that this random youtube video is the first time I've heard about these. When I was young, a family member of one of these victims was my neighbor, or so I believe, based on the names given in the articles here. I can understand why he never mentioned any of this to me.
