I lived in tampa Bay 16 years ago. From Long Island. I had a job where I was constantly bullied and picked on. It really affected my mental health. I never got the feeling of the area being welcoming. I had to move because of the unmersiful bullying I had to deal with. I don't recommend tampa bay. I had to deal with a lot of hateful people who constantly mocked and bullied me. It was awful

Hi! My husband and I are planning to retire to Florida. We live in Westchester County in NY.
We do own a condo in Bonita Springs. We know we love Florida. We are not sure exactly where we want to live. We do want a house with a pool and spa. We are thinking about a nice community not too far from the beach but definitely away from a flood zone.
