@billquinn6224People in CALIFORNIA might say the grizzly bear is the state animal but the bear on their state flag is a black bear.
@billquinn6224I understand that the word for handcuff and wife are the same in Spanish- but you did not need to add coincidence… there are people who, like my husband and I are very happily married. That was comment was insulting to couples who love each other dearly.

@lifewithbria50934:42:06 The largest country with land in the southern hemisphere and the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas.
@fmyoung5:06:02 The Titanic's troubles begin with her very name. She was named after the Titans a great warrior race in Greek mythology who waged war against Zeus, the so-called "god of gods." This is the part of the story that seems familiar to quite a few. The part that seems unknown to most, shipowners at the time included, is - guess what - the Titans lost. So the name is symbolic of defeat and the Titanic was indeed defeated - during her maiden voyage of all voyages, at that. (And I could go on and on and on about the Titanic.)
@fmyoung5:06:02 As the Titanic was leaving Southampton Harbor she almost collided with another ship. The undertow from her powerful engines was enough to cause the other ship to break all her six moorings. I wish they actually collided help would've been available just around the corner. Now what was the Titanic's destination? New York. What was the name of the ship she almost collided with? New York.
@fmyoung5:06:02 I have a feeling not many know that the Titanic was only two-thirds full. The reasons? The off-season and a national coal strike in the UK earlier that same year. Had she been fully booked then her lifeboats would've taken care of only 27% of all on board. Coming to think about it two-thirds - that's really far from full that's only about 66.5%.
This is information no one or hardly anyone tells you; it takes away from sensation.
