From Episode 48 of Podcast Doesn't Exist

00:00 Are the Dodgers ruining baseball?

2:17 saying "it's a rule now" is misleading. That makes it sounds like it's a new rule just for the dodgers. When in fact, it's always been a rule and no one has taken advantage of it.

— @Iceisnice32

4:51 Padres

6:17 Diamondbacks

9:56 Red Sox

As a Brewer fan, I’ve learned to not question offseason moves. Somehow we always make it work. They clearly know something no one else knows. Durbin was nearly ROTY last year, and now we trade him to the Sox and he doesn’t have a hit yet đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

— @Mason_Senkbeil

11:55 Rays

12:23 Braves

These videos are so entertaining and informative. I’d take a new overview like this every week fr

15:30 Phillies

White Sox are backed by god.

— @humphrey4976

16:15 Nationals

16:43 Marlins

Just a small story, this year will be the year Jose becomes the unanimous greatest player in Cleveland history. He is 4 games away from most games, and is top 5 in most of the offensive categories. He is only 40-50 hrs behind Thome as well which he will pass either within the next 2 years.

— @spookyboi8446

17:08 Cubs

Bichette leaving the jays makes them better
.. his fielding was horrendous

Can’t believe Skenes dropped an absolute donkey Duce in his first start lol. And the tigers will go 152-10 (I’m biased) shoutout Motown 😭😂

— @dynamitedanschmidt

25:20 Tigers

26:45 Royals

bro, don't sleep on the Cards LOL, they're 2-1

— @AudioMurphyIsAChastainFan

27:05 Guardians

27:44 Twins

They genuinely need a cap on big market teams. Tired of the Dodgers getting every good player, meanwhile teams like the Indians sit there with nothing.

— @legocat0306

27:58 White Sox

Dude either doesn’t watch baseball or always watches on mute because so many of these name pronunciations were butchered

The Dodgers are the best thing to happen to baseball in decades. Great players having the correct support makes the sport better. If you are fan of the sport as a whole this is a golden age.

@noonesomeone669

Bo Bichette will be hitting DH by the end of the year or playing second base he is unplayable at 3rd.

@DaneColeman-mh3rz

18:26-18:32 Exactly what the Brewers want everyone to think. Every year, they get overlooked and every year, they do better than what they are projected.

I’m just wondering when the “experts” are just going to say, “you know what, they are extremely well coached and every year when they trade away a star player or lose a star player in free agency, they always seem to find another diamond in the rough. Maybe we should be giving the Brewers their flowers.”

@Toucanbird
@

Shohei So great he finished being a DH and now aiming a Cy Young you can't make this shit up.

To simply not know or mention anything about JJ Wetherholt for the Cardinals is WILDDD

YESS THE CARDS ARE THE WORST BUT JJ WETHERHOLT IS GOING TO WIN NL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

actually do research next time

I really wanted mad Max to win last year :(

Saying Ohtani has a $70 million AAV is misleading. When you account for the deferrals, it’s actually closer to $46 million. And if you think the deferrals are the problem, literally nothing would change if the Dodgers just have Ohtani $46 million a year without deferrals. It’s disappointing that every baseball reporter pushes this wrong talking point.

@Willgo373

3:40 I will be back in 7 months. Hope the Dodgers don't win but they are going too. You can pin of shame me if I'm wrong.

@fangmatt5958

7:51 nah, that was heat.

@CoolImADumbass

You know what I would love, is to stop talking about "small market teams". That just doesn't mean what people pretend it does. All billions worth of owners, making more profit than dodgers because they don't pay anyone.

@ryanjames5340

Holy Downplaying of the Marlins, Batman!.. Never ceases to amaze me.

Marlins had the 3rd highest win increase from 2024 to 2025 (1st was the Blue Jays who made it to the WS). They were in the WC hunt until the very last series of the season (and eliminated the Mets for funsies).

They have the #1 and #5 Left-Handed Pitchers (as ranked by MLB) slated to debut this year and our catcher placed 6th in ROY voting after smashing 21 HRs. Also, Kyle Stowers.

But sure, Marlins "still bad". 😂

Edit: Braves fan... Makes sense.

Christ. Please get rid of this 20-second music loop, or at least lower the volume and bass. This is long format, conversational commentary not a reel. Had to skip that whole portion of the video. Felt myself going insane

Enjoyed the rundown though lol. Thanks fr

Luxury tax ain’t shit we need a hard cap at this point

@khiewhy
@

The goal for the White Sox is 70 wins this year. We know we’re a bad team, but any step farther away from 42 wins is a great step

(And Mune hit a HR on opening day)

24:47 Had to laugh at this. My parents, and some of their friends, were Angels fans for for as long as I can remember and followed Ohtani when he went to the Dodgers. They were definitely upset after years of a promising roster leading to nothing but losses. I can't believe that the Angels (and Rockies for that matter) owners believe that their fans are loyal to the team even if they are the worst, but I guess the A's still have one of the most dedicated fan bases.

@thenowhereman3295

Cardinals might stink this year but at least there’s opportunity to have a lot of young guys get a shot this year. Most exciting 100 loss team of all time!

I hate Arte Moreno so much

@turnleftman
@

18:12 there is ZERO upside with O’Neil Cruz lol, he is complete garbage

@MapleMooseyt
@

It’s not the dodgers winning that’s the issue, it’s the amount of money that is being used to get there. They’re the most likely team to win by a mile and that’s a majority because they have the most money

@MapleMooseyt
@

2:30 the players like it because they see the money rolling in. None of those guys give a damn about winning, they just want the money to keep rolling in

@MapleMooseyt
@

Anyone claiming that "Team X is ruining Y Sports/League" should really redirect their focus to the other teams in said sports/league lmao. It's a damn competition, maybe the other teams just didn't try enough (which in MLB's case, a lot of the other owners don't regardless of what they "claimed").

I love what John Schneider said about the Blue Jays when being dubbed the "David" to the Dodgers' "Goliath". They spent over $250 million+ (which was like in the top 4 or 5 in MLB in 2025), they spent $300 million back in 2022 to rennovate their stadium (planning for 30-ish years of development), and they showed their player development as well. It takes A LOT to build a quality team.

The Dodgers vs Blue Jays 2025 WS showed how CLOSE it was. All the money the Dodgers spent and they were neck-and-neck with the Blue Jays at almost every turn. Hell, the Brewers had a spotless record over the Dodgers at the Regular Season in 2025 (before being thoroughly beaten in the postseason by the Dodgers).

But the upcoming MLBPA vs owners negotiations are definitely going to be ugly. Greedy millionaires and billionaires are going to fight on all fronts to keep their hoardes away from being used.

Remember when Harper got 360 mil for 12 years and the internet debated whether or not one of the best players in baseball was worth that price. How horribly those anti Harper takes have aged. 30 mil for a perennial all star and mvp candidate is chump change now

@justdirt
@

Fuck man I hate to be that guy but every team has one guy that started on the As in the last 7-5 years that were essential and we traded them away it breaks my heart we have one of the best farm systems and it does nothing for us

@MrQandJ
@

Ohtani's AAV is 46 million a year.

Every member of baseball media should at least know this much. It might as well be a 10 year, 460 million dollar contract.
