I converted my DC to Custom Cash so now I have 2 of those for restaurants and grocery stores. The other categories are stuff I barely ever spend money at. I don't trust US Bank anymore after they nerfed the Altitude Go's redemption value.

Citi really cut back on the ability to product change between card families, but last week (around Nov 19, 2025) I again tried to product change my AA Platinum Select card to a TY points card, and the only option was the Strata Elite card. No way I was going to forgo a potential 100k SUB, so it became a MileUp card.

include all financial companies or all available financial offers.
6% cards(s) have an AF - so NOT 6%. WM 5% no longer. This guy still doesn't show how he gets 5% on non-cat spending.
I get a min of 4% with USB Smartly, 5% on a slew of purchases with various cards, and arguably more than 5% with shopping offers, and arguably way more than 5% with my citi SYW card and its endless lucrative spending offers.

Hi Ben, which credit agencies performed the hard pull for the AAA Daily Advantage Visa?
@dbest4755I just use the Chase Ink to earn 5% cash back buying Visa/Mastercard gift cards and using those gift cards everywhere that Visa/MC carda are accepted. That gives me 5% no matter what I buy.
@ECDuhamelWhy post this when right at the start you need 3 of the same card which you canât get anymore. Such a waste of video
@FA0530@12:44 the cable guy jim carrey amex flip method, you buy the gift for them and have them pay you at a heavy discounted price for the gift!!! say you bought a tv for 1000 and you sell them the tv for 200 on the condition the product gets smashed before the 90 days. You now made a profit of $200 lol, this is just one example.
@aspreedacoreToo much work, I like the kroger card I unfortunately opened too many credit cards too fast so I literally cant open a credit card outside of a union for like one year xd/
@aspreedacoreWhich credit card has 5X on purchases of theme park tickets?
@MJ-tasticMy next card might be the American Express Blue Cash everyday or Chase business InK
@iordaniskaravasilisToo much work, too complicated. get yourself a chase ink cash card and buy gift cards at Staples. no annual fee 5x on everything done
@SALFXEF3 custom cash cards is pretty impressive.
@sk6056AMEX Blue cash preferred card.
6% Cash back On Groceries.
Why have 2nd card of the same card when you can get a different card with more cash back???
Unfortunately, I had the Walmart 5% capital one but it was canceled. They did not honor the older clients and everyone was cancelled and transferred to another capital one - I ended up canceling
@JonasVoopI worked in the CC industry and they can either work for you or work against you.
1get a new CC every 12 months with 12 months interest free purchases. Put money aside to accrue interest then pay it off before the end.
Never paid a penny interest.
Debit for cash only.
CC for everything else.
Wise words.
Is this for USA only or UK as well
@KindredSpirit-p7fI have two Citi Custom Cash Cards and I got one by applying for it and then I got my second one by product changing from a different Citi Card.
I'm considering getting one more by product changing my Costco Citi Card.
The main reason why I'm considering product changing my Costco Citi Card is because you have to wait a whole year to get your cash back.
Also, I mainly only use it for gas.
Though, there are two other Visa Cards that I know of that give you 5% Cash Back on Gas with No Annual Fee.
So I will be applying to one of those other Visa Cards for 5% on Gas!
Can confirm today 9/12/24 that you can still product change to CCC! I was watching this video and paused it to call them as I have a custom cash, double cash, and rewards +, and they PCâd the rewards + to another custom cash.
@PatrickM89My setup:
US Bank Cash + [Visa]($0) - 5% Utilities
Blue Cash Preferred [Amex]($75 annual fee)- 6% Groceries
Chase Amazon Prime [Visa] ($150 annnual fee)- 5% Amazon
Citi Custom Cash [Master Card]($0)- 5% Restaurants
Citi Custom Cash[Master Card]($0) - 5% Drugstore (2nd card wife's)
Citi Costco [Visa]($150 annual fee) - 4% Gas
Capital One Venture X [Visa]($395 annual fee) - Costco and catch-All
I wish there was a 5% for Costco instore purchases.
The first search result for the Kroger card indicates it also gives $0.25/gallon off on gas (!) at Kroger fuel stations. I didn't dig to see if that's still a thing. And it wouldn't help me much anyway, as I'd burn around $6 in gas round trip to the nearest such station and don't have at least a 24-gallon tank to break even.
@DuhIdiotMoneyThe citi custom cash card is only 5% in up to $500 in your top category each billing period. Current economy makes that too easy to surpass for gas, groceries etcâŠ.
@awash7156WOW. this is the best video out there for us who are trying to max rebates. Thanks
@bethearl8686Ducks Unlimited is one of the biggest and oldest conservation groups in the US, they buy up wetlands to preserve duck habitat.
@aDiscreteFirmI am from india.. i have sbi cashback card flat 5% cashback on all online payments⊠purchase giftcard from 3rd party and saving average around 8-10% almost all categories
@Draco_NooB_originalCan you CONFIRM that this CITI CUSTOM CASH card can be used in ALL grocery stores including Walmart, Sam's, Costco, Target ?
The AMEX BLUE CARD DOES NOT INCLUDE THESE STORES
Tip for those with a Kroger's Mastercard: use it to pay for your insurance. State Farm allows mobile wallet pay, and I don't think there's any other way to get 5% on your insurance payment
@johnt6806I'm surprised that neither the Discover It nor the CFF were mentioned on this list
@En4cer2K9I dont know
I think he needs a few more Custom Cash and Cash+ cards
What's product change? Need that 2nd Citi custom card!đ
@officialdreamrmusic5% is my backup in case my 10% cashback goes over 2k limit/month
@michaelk2147That credit card setup hurts my brain.
@yoddy0Between my wife and myself. I also have 3 of the custom cash cards. We use them for grocery, gass and medical which falls under the drug category. Those 3 cards not only get maxed out almost perfectly each month, but we also use the BILT card for rent as well as 3x back in dining. All other miscellaneous expenses is our next card on the hunt which is the toughest one to find. 2x seems to be the standard for âall purchasesâ so we like the idea of the standard âcapital one venture cardâ, not the x version. As we donât travel enough to justify high annual fee credit card just yet. Honestly if we could just have 8 to 12 custom cash cards we would be solid đ. In my credit card journey if I were to offer advice it would be - Get the most points out of your largest expenses over everything. You donât need to have âthe best/coolestâ credit cards to feel like youâre saving money because you probably arenât. Credit cards donât care about your ego and flex, they only care about the numbers. To many people have great/random credit cards and use them randomly, while also having zero idea of the power they can offer when used properly.
@CadenMichnalThe only question is, am i spending more in INTEREST than i am getting cash back.
@JTL1776Where I live there is a grocery store chain called King Soopers which was essentially taken over by Kroger, to the point the login information is the same. King Soopers also has their mastercard which directly mirrors Kroger's to the point where the website advertisement is literally just painted red and the card has the king sooper's logo. rewards being completely the same. It does make me wonder if both can be obtained. Which would combined would mean $6,000 available for 5% cashback on mobile wallet purchases.
@Marbo12fIs there any credit card that gives 4 or 5% for online shopping other than amazon or Walmart card?
@Waterboy516If he looks at his category spend that US Cash Plus card would be better than him using that Best buy card or the Lowe's card especially if he spreads out the 2k of spend
@scremingwhisper1720at that point bro is obbessed, its not even about saving money anymore. he needa focus on making more money rather than saving those pennies and stressing out. insanity imo
@arinmontgomery2798What does he mean by product change?
@adamx6000I guess that person doesn't do online purchases outside of those expensive stores like Amazon, Lowes, Target, Home Depot and Best Buy. If you want to buy on ebay or any other website, the Paypal credit card doesn't offer 5%. It's 3%.
@NormanOrtizBen, whatâs the rational behind closing one of your three chase freedom cards?
@Pedrohbsantos01I knew about all these cards. I thought there was something more. The only one I need to get is the Kroger card which I am in the middle of getting now. I would also recommend the AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature Credit Card for groceries. It offers 5% cash back on grocery store purchases, 3% cash back on gas and electric vehicle-charging stations, wholesale clubs, streaming services, pharmacy, and purchases at AAA, and 1% cash back on all other purchases 12. If you have a family to feed, the Citi Custom Cash Credit Card isn't ideal with its low spending limit. I have the Ducks Unlimited Visa Card before the new changes.
@tamwilfredI have an authorized user on my Citi custom cash do they get their own 5% or is it shared since is the same account????
@TobyMayne1Or you know. Don't go out to restaurants so often you'll save more ....
@TobyMayne1Whoever has these cards is my hero đź
@adamx6000Hey, I was just notified of this video! This is my reddit post. Thanks for featuring my setup!
@tsmatmapThis guyâs friend literally has every single cash back credit card. Then he spammed the couple of them đ€Łđ«
I know his wallet đł is thick đ€Łđ§ł
Yup, 2 Citi CC and 2 US Bank Cash+ and 1 Shoppers+ (6% on amazon and cheaper than paying for prime). With maybe add a Citi Rewards+ later to bump the Citi cards rewards rate to 5.5%. Then just carry Krogers card for mobile wallet.
