First of all... who still uses the r slur? Inconsiderate people who don't think before they speak mostly. Secondly even though I had never heard of him and his type of music isn't my style I am not opposed to Lil Tecca as the new music series artist. Not every music pass is going to be geared toward my demographic and that's ok. It is a bit strange that we have covered every genre from Metal to Calypso and still no country artist has been chosen. In my dream world Dolly Parton would be the next music pass artist, but I am certain that I am in the vast minority in feeling this way. My complaint is when the battle pass solely focuses on one particular style of music, current rap being the pro dominant style this music pass. I like old school rap, and modern rap just isn't in my wheelhouse of preferences. I found the music pass to be more enticing when it was a mishmash of artists, genres and music styles ranging from Elton John to Lil Uzi Vert. The last battle pass focused too much on Calypso and this pass focused too much on modern rap. A blend of genres would be better.

As a festival player, this update is genuinely good, I’m just into rock/emo which kinda disappoints me as for all the years festival has been out we’ve never got a good rock/emo artist, the only close one to it is Gorillaz and Metallica, the Metallica one was actually awesome. Gorillaz was SHITT, we only got the top 4 most popular. But I am very glad we are getting something apart from mainstream pop, like, Sabrina carpenter got 3 skins, has she ever played Fortnite? No. Has lil tecca? Yes! Does Sabrina deserve a skin? Fuck no. Does lil tecca deserve one? Yes! He literally has good songs! And his skin are cool! And I get your point for Addison Rae, she’s awful 😭 this update genuinely has potential, but every music fan who plays Fortnite will probably just keep wanting mainstream pop artists, glaze the Travis Scott event they didn’t even play.
