Bogus theories. Titanic well built ship. Hitting an iceberg going so fast is what did her in, not how she was built.

The real lesson to be learned of the disaster, is we should be humble and prudent. Instead the people in charge were proud and did not respect the warnings of ice in their path. HJaving the illusion the boats were not going to be needed ever, caused too few of them to be on the ship. Besdies the crew did not practice lowering the boats and when disaster struck they did not even know how many people each boat could carry. If properly used about 400 morte qould have survived.

I don't understand how they could possibly attest to seeing a growler at 1.5-2 MILES at night, in the pitch blackness. They didn't have any sort of forward flood lights or any kind of forward facing lighting whatsoever. 2 miles is a LONG distance. Especially a moonless night with calm waters, I call complete BS on that 2 mile claim. No matter how skilled you are.

There were twenty lifeboats as four of them were 'Collapsibles'.

Isn't it a fact though that lookouts do not use binoculars constantly - they use them when they've spotted something to examine it. Plus, what difference would binoculars really have been at night...

Now for the lifeboats - yes, there weren't enough for everyone but what most of these videos seem to miss is that they were still launching the boats as Titanic was in it's last moments - the Collapsibles.

Plus, the ship was listing, so even if they did have enough boats onboard for everyone, it's very unlikely that they would've even been able to launch them all. A lot of the boats would've just been extra debris to cling on to, or for some stronger passengers to climb into...so they might have saved lives in that way, but no way would they have had time to launch all the boats had there been enough.

Oh and not to forget the time wasted by primadonna 1st class passengers who refused to get into the boats as soon as they were told to.

Yes, the ship sank, it was meant to sink on it's maiden voyage, World War one was about to happen, and the three ships were actually fitted out at the last minute as auxiliary cruisers, in case of war. Germany was building them at the time, and some were already at sea waiting for war to be announced. German young men were fleeing Germany to escape the draft, as they feared war, men of marriageable age. Some took their new brides with them, many, expected to send for them when they found work. If one looks at the passenger list, look at how many passengers were from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The ship officers heard four explosions, torpedo or shell explosions. Where from? A passing German Auxiliary Cruiser, German records were found in the nineteen nineties suggestion this was true. A German Liner passed the Titanic, as it was sinking, passengers saw it's outline in the dark night, by starlight. JP Morgan was in on it, as he wanted to buy the Shipping Line. The coming war would make him rich hiring out a fleet of Troop Ships to governments. The Californian, his ship was waiting to transfer the passengers at sea, hiding in the ice field. It had a cargo of 3000 blankets, why? The Iceberg was a convenient excuse, perhaps, an unexpected bonus for an Insurance scam. Eventual pay-outs were doubled to fourteen million pounds, why?

This video is pure BS. The ship was not made of inferior materials. It was not poorly designed. It was not a chain of events. The fault lays with Captain Smith. It should not have been proceeding at "full steam ahead" through a dangerous and well-known ice field. It is as simple as that.

It is a sequence of events that creates a disaster, but in the end Captain Smith, went full steam ahead after being warned about icebergs, he also acknowledged it was a dead calm night with no moonlight, so seeing the lapping white at the bottom on the icebergs would be difficult. THIS caused the collision. All the other issues would not contribute, if the Titanic had slowed down and they paid attention to the conditions. They cannot say they were not warned about the icebergs, since they had 5 messages and the final message gave co-ordinates.

Did you forget to note that Captain Smith caused the problems and the wreck on the Olympic?

Everything seems wrong!! The layout, the lifeboats (only 16), the binoculars, the captain ignoring the
iceberg warning forecast and the lack of training everyone in case of emergency!!! They were too complacent the fact it was known as unsinkable ship!! 😢

With benefit of hindsight you can say they should have slowed down or been more diligent with the ice warnings but to me, the Titanic tragedy was a true accident, where things just happened to come together the way they did. You could probably have made the ocean crossing 500 or more times and never had any problems. No real different than driving to work everyday for years but then on one particular day you'd have an accident

I don't believe there were any design oversights or material flaws. The accident was so severe that no ship could have survived or at least not back in 1912

Why would they want to contain the water? They needed a way of removing the water. It was a doomed design from the start. And piloted by a sub par work force.

The rivet issue is redundant. Although the Foecke and McCarty metallurgy research team found that an external pressure of 9,000 ft lb was needed to make a Titanic bow rivet fail (due to wrought iron impurities, etc), versus a steel rivet tested to 20,000 ft lb, the Ship's estimated kinetic energy before impact was 2,070,000,000 ft lbs. Thus the full strength rivet would've still failed: merely deforming momentarily (due to superior ductility) rather than fracturing instantly.

THIS IDIOT SAID HE BELIEVES TITANIC WOULD OF SURVIVED IF THEY HIT ICE BERG HEAD ON AT 25 MPH WITH 90% OF PEOPLE IN BED SLEEP OR ON THERE FEET....WOULD OF BEEN A DISASTER. AN MOST LIKELY SUNK EVEN FASTER. HOWEVER HANDFUL OF PEOPLE WOULD OF WENT OVER BOARD CLEARING MORE SPACES FOR THE FEW LIFE BOATS🤷
