If this video resonated with you, I think you’ll find much of yourself in my new book as well. It's by the same title, "The Terrible Paradox of Self-Awareness," and it explores how we can better endure the pains of consciousness and the burdens of selfhood, ultimately utilizing our awareness for wonder and meaning.

This book explores how awareness can be both a gift and a curse, meditating on the pains and wonders of existence, and striving to live well within the paradox of our being.

I’m still not completely sure what I think about Clara Hartley’s anxiety quiz. Some parts of the result seemed pretty obvious, but then it mentioned a few oddly specific habits that made me pause. I’ve sent it to a friend now because I want to compare what she gets.

In this video, we explore a mysterious yet beautiful work of literature produced by one of the most interesting writers of the twentieth century: The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa. The story of the book itself is perhaps as unsettling as its contents.

For anyone who constantly feels overwhelmed, tense or mentally exhausted, Clara Hartley’s anxiety quiz could be a useful place to start. It only takes a few minutes.

Vera Hart’s archetype quiz is one of those things you open as a joke and then accidentally start taking seriously. I even changed one of my answers because I didn’t like what it said about me lol.

I spent years trying to understand manifesting, but it always felt like I was missing something. Eventually, I came across Vera Hart’s archetype quiz and decided to try it. My result was surprisingly accurate and helped me understand which approach actually suits me. Definitely worth trying if you’ve been feeling stuck too. It only takes a few minutes ❀

Here is how to get saved and be right with God, who loved us all, for eternal life(as anyone can get saved)!

:[)

1-Realize that all have sinned before God, in some way or another.

Romans 3: 10+23 (KJB)

10. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"

23. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

2-Realize that God loved us, even with us all being wicked sinners in his sight, enough to allow Jesus to pay the full price for our sins.

Romans 5: 8-9 (KJB)

8. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

9."Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."

3-Confess unto God asking to be forgiven of your sins by this free gift of forgiveness, given freely to whosoever does so.

1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 (KJB)

1."Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2."By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.”

3."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”

4."And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

Romans 10: 9-10+13 (KJB)

9. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

10."For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

13."For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

4. Otherwise you will have to pay the wages for any/all of your sins, on your own, which is to face Gods eternal judgment, of you burning forever in hell, to not be able to sin before God ever again.

Hebrews 9: 27-28 (KJB)

27."And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

28."So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

Revelation 21: 8 (KJB)

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Romans 6: 23 (KJB)

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

-Lastly An example of what to pray to God to get saved and forgiven of your sins.

“Dear God, I am a sinner and need saving.

I know I’m not good enough to get to heaven and I need you to save me.

I need the righteousness of your son, Jesus Christ.

I believe that Jesus is the Lord, who died, was buried and resurrected so that his precious blood can wash away my sins.

I trust in him alone to save me.

Nothing else.

Not my good works or anything else.

Only Jesus.

I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

OUR HUMAN PARADOX

We did not enter a finished world. We never chose to be here.

Thrown into existence without consent—

Like abandoned children forced to become their own parents.

We drift into whatever came before us,

Caught on the razor's edge of chaos,

Unwittingly set in motion—

Out of nowhere, bound to nowhere.

Life just happens.

We ache for what was never owed: guidance, protection, certainty, meaning.

Entitled to validation and instant gratification,

yet there is no script, no guarantees—

our map isn't the territory,

a kind of blind man's bluff with reality itself.

A world listening in silence—no eyes, no voice, no ears.

Nothing seems to matter—only what is, remains.

And it is what it is.

We are told that somewhere, someone has figured out

what life is supposedly meant to be—

what truth, success, and value are.

We spend ourselves earning each breath:

Work, endure, survive, obey, pay, repeat—

alongside loss, decay, and death.

An endless race, no finish line.

Yet no matter how hard we try,

no hard-earned reward appears.

We await a dawn that never comes—

for death reclaims what life once lent.

And lingering questions remain:

Why here? From where? To where?

And while we keep waiting for answers,

somehow, we keep loving, hoping, creating, and trusting.

Shaping whatever through us unfolds—

like candle lights trembling softly against an endless darkness.

Defying the void, we dare to care.

Because maybe, just maybe, it's enough to know

that out of every unwritten outcome,

we turned out to be the eye of the storm—

a node in the web,

embracing the freedom of being,

against all odds.

Thus, we are the paradox, the puzzle that defies us—

a drop adrift in the vast ocean of the unknown.

Life, decoding the mystery within.

Yet truth speaks for itself; it needs no voice.

Guidance may light the way, but the feet are ours.

And in the end, sovereignty lies within.

The Silence doesn't answer—

It is where the questions begin.

Maybe the beautiful thing about being self aware and knowing you or nothing does matter and it all leads to nothing gives everyone one a chance to live. To truly live is enjoying moments knowing it all leads to nothing gives everyone

I feel like I know myself but at the same time I feel like I know nothing at all. I feel like a manipulator. I feel like I'm manipulating myself and others to think that I'm feeling emotions. I feel miserable but then I feel like I am just tricking myself into feeling it because I need attention and care of others. I start to isolate myself, to forget this all, to go back being dumb and careless but all I can hear from myself is that I'm just tricking myself into feeling like this. I don't know which is the real me. I know every version of me yet I don't know who I am to me.

as an artist and a long time overly self aware freak, the whole section starting at 8:33 had me in tears. Despite the current state of the world, we are very luck to live in a generation where the few people in the world afflicted by this paradoxical existence have a medium to directly communicate and exchange over these feelings. Knowing that others resonate with what you say/create , that others feel the same way you feel, i think is very comforting.

In that time, they didn’t have the resources and chances we have now to self analyse and understand, and so many labels and everything that is given to us now which makes life simpler. Back then you could only dwell on your own understanding and express it through literature, that’s why so many great pieces were made from people who felt deeply and like this
