The Temple Mount has been held hostage by the Islamic Muslim false religion for 1,300 years , they think the false prophet Muhammad went to heaven from that mosque but what they don’t understand is the mosque wasn’t built until 70 plus years after Muhammad died. LoL JESUS is the only way to heaven I hope they all find the truth and investigate for themselves .

God must be a very confused, man. Why doesn't He clear all doubts rather than let the Jews, Christians and Moslems fight and disagree. Maybe He doesn't care.

The scripture clearly says a ram was sacrificed in Isaac's place, not a lamb. I'd love to hear a teaching on this.

Sorry brother the name you gave YAHWEH was WRONG! it is YAHU or YAU according to ANCIENT SEMITIC LANGUAGES,It was YAHUH, when priest and Scribe ESDRAS added H as marker to make the name as HOLY!

Abraham, in Makkah, sacrificed his son! فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يا بني اني ارى في المنام اني اذبحك....

What you should know, that when he tried to sacrifice his son the knife did not cut ...

This is like when Abraham was in the fire, but fire did not burnt!

So, he told his son away from his mother, this when he come to visit them in Macca!

The veil is torn! That which separated us from the Holy of Holies (where His presence rested) is now open to us. The Lord provided, Himself as the Lamb, a sacrifice for the atonement of our sin. God promised Abraham that if the covenant between Him and Abraham's descendants was broken that He (God) would pay for it.

Those who say that Jerusalem or the Temple Mount don't matter haven't been reading their Bibles and need to get into the word.

I've heard the same explanation of the veil being torn down from Catholic and Orthodox teachings, but I've always pictured God tearing it as a sign of rejection of the Jewish priests. I also have believed that because of what Jesus said: "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it." (Matthew 21:43).

By no means I claim that this is the right interpretation. It's just a thought that comes to my mind every time I hear or read about the veil.

I wonder how God thinks about the followers of the anti-Christ of Mohammed being in possession of this sacred mountain. What does he feel toward Israel having taken possession of this land and gave it back to the Muslims in fear of the Muslim nations surrounding Jerusalem. How many times has Israel not have faith in God, but trust their own understanding of what is right in the eyes of God. Through fear of Muslim countries that they just defeated in battle gave back the Temple grounds to those they had just defeated.

There is something else that confused me. If Mamre is the place for Abraham and his son. Then the Dome of the Rock can't be the same place too ? Am I getting two places mixed up ?
On the other hand, if a islamic dome of the rock who worships Baal builds a temple over a Jewish holy place isn't this an abomination to leave it standing ? Clarification needed here. Thanks.

@troyheffernan1261

So the sacrifice is man taking life for his sin.
And Jesus sacrifice is for all our sins.
Question, if God is the only one who can create and take life, is the guilt of killing an innocent animal the guilt of carring that sin in you ?

So the next time you decide to sin, you can understand who's the creator and who is not ?

@troyheffernan1261
@

Well, if one truly cares about this matter? You decide. Let me break it down into a sort of itemized / bullet form to keep it easier to understand and work through each point. Let's roll ...

1. God chose the City of David as His dwelling place. What did He call it? He called it “Zion”. So, Zion is actually the City of David. That is what the Bible states.

Scripture repeatedly identifies ‘Zion’ NOT as the later northern platform (Herodian platform/current temple mount), but as the City of David:

• 2 Samuel 5:7 - “David captured the stronghold of Zion, that is, the City of David”

• Psalm 132:13-14 - “The LORD has chosen Zion… THIS is My RESTING PLACE forever.”

So, in the Bible, Zion = City of David, NOT the later expanded Temple Mount, or Herodian platform.

That platform, later becoming the Roman's Fort Antonia for their 10,000 strong Legion, Legio X Fretensis. A Roman Legion stationed there since ~32 B.C., with its weapons of war, thousands of men, etc., could not be anywhere but on that temple mount and its size bears that out. Josephus wrote about their many buildings and barracks strewn about on that mount. Yes … Fort Antonia. They certainly could not be intermingled among the Jewish people in that walled city. Impossible. If I were tasked with setting up camp for 10,000 of my Marines, I tell you now, that would be a massive logistical undertaking. And it was no different for the Legio X Legion Fretensis. My orders? Keep the peace and collect the taxes. Roger that.

If God said Zion is where He will dwell, then His house must be in Zion, NOT outside it.

2. David built the first altar on the Ophel (the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite) as directed by God, after his Census sin. Solomon will build the first Temple around it.

Chronicles is explicit:

• 1 Chronicles 21:18-30 - "David is commanded to build an altar on Mount Moriah, at Ornan’s threshing floor, which is located on the Ophel ridge, immediately above the City of David."

• 2 Chronicles 3:1 - "Solomon built the Temple on Mount Moriah, at the exact site where the LORD appeared to David, on that SAME THRESHING FLOOR."

This ties the Temple’s location directly to:

• David’s altar

• Mount Moriah

• The Ophel

• The City of David

• All the same place.

3. The Temple must stand where God appeared and fire fell.

God Himself chose the site by sending fire from heaven onto David’s altar (1 Chronicles 21:26). That site became the permanent location of the Temple.

Solomon did not move it. He built on the exact spot where God answered David.

Again ... that spot is in the City of David, not on the later Herodian/Roman platform.

4. The Temple required the Gihon Spring. The only living water source. And it was/is a Siphon Spring, which has natural pressure and pushed water up towards the Temple plumbing, which it did. And it is active to this day and will again be used for the third Temple rebuild. Solomons genius plumbing system within the Temple utilized the Gihon Spring pressurized water.

Know the Gihon Springs location cannot physically or by Hydrology engineering have ever reached the current temple mount where the Dome of the Rock is located. Impossible. That alone eliminates the possibility of the original Temple being on the current temple mount. Trust the science, yes? But what do eyewitnesses say? Let's continue ...

The Law required:

• Running (“living”) water for priestly purification.

• Immense water supply for sacrifices, washing, and daily rituals.

Water from the Roman aqueduct (sourced from Bethlehem per historical records) that existed in those days, provided the Roman garrison all the water they needed. They knew they could not access the Gihon Spring due to its location and its status as a Holy source for the Temple. The Temple could never use the unpurified aqueduct water for Temple duties. So that arrangement worked. The current temple mount has evidence of at least 37 Roman Cisterns strewn about under the mount to support a Legion. But never a Temple as it was unpurified)

The only natural spring in Jerusalem is the Gihon, located in the City of David, directly below the Ophel.

The Herodian platform has no purified water source. The City of David does.

Again, this alone is decisive.

5. The Bible places the Temple in the City of David. Not north of it.

Key statements:

• 1 Kings 8:1 - "The ark is brought out of the City of David, which is Zion, up to the Temple site. The Temple is on the same ridge, just above the City of David … the Ophel."

• Nehemiah 3:26-27 - "Temple servants lived on the Ophel, near the Water Gate toward the east and the projecting tower. This is the slope between the City of David and the Temple."

This COULD NOT be a description of a Temple on the current temple mount where the Dome of the Rock is located. Geographically and architecturally impossible. That location would have no need for any of the detailed challenges and obstacles Solomon and future builders/upgraders had encountered and described by those of that time.

The unlevel area and depth of the Kidron Valley were always a challenge because of the Temple being in the City of David and its unique geography. Remember, Josephus is LOOKING at the temple and describing these features. Here are some examples of his direct quotes/writings:

“The Temple was seated on a STRONG HILL, the level area on its summit originally barely sufficed for shrine (the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place) and the altar (the Altar of Burnt Offering), the ground around it being precipitous and STEEP."

"He (Solomon) also built a wall below, beginning at the bottom, 'at the foot' of the EASTERN HILL, which was encompassed by a deep valley (the Kedron)”

"The latter (the eastern wall), where its foundations were lowest, they built up (with Earthen support) from a depth of three hundred cubits (450 feet), at some spots this figure was exceeded." (NOTE: 450 feet on the current temple mount would be a skyscraper. Think on that)

"This cloister (that is, the southeast corner of the southern colonnade) deserves to be mentioned better than any other under the sun. For while the valley was very deep, and its bottom could not be seen, if you looked from above into the depth, this farther vastly high elevation of the colonnade stood upon that height, insomuch that if anyone looked down from the top of the battlements, or down both these altitudes, he would be giddy, while his sight could not reach to such a great depth."

Absolutely fascinating and detailed eyewitness descriptions of this magnificent Temple. The next entry is Josephus describing the Roman destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. as he was directly in the middle of it with General Titus and his fellow combatants. He witnessed all of it:

"The Romans also burnt the whole northern portico (colonnade) right up to that on the EAST where the angle (northeastern angle of the Temple wall) connecting the two was built over the ravine called the Kedron, the DEPTH at that point being consequently terrific."

So, in summary:

It is inconceivable how one could read what was presented here, with biblical evidence alone, adding engineering, Hydrology considerations, and eyewitness accounts, and deny the original location of the Temple. However ... the usual suspect, TRADITION, with no well thought out evidence, has blinded the masses to be sure. Not for long though. The Jewish folks who today consider Josephus a Traitor to their nation, due to his relationship with Generals Vespasian and Titus, does not help.

But a traitor Josephus was NOT, by any measure. A strong and practical Jewish man, a High Priest in the Temple, a military leader, multilingual and spoke fluent Latin (the Romans language), a historian with impeccable detail and accuracy, who loved God and his nation, caught up in events that made his choices difficult, but he chose wisely IMO when all the evidence is brought to bear. I call him 'Gods Scribe'. His writings are magnificent and should be consulted by all who care and want to understand those times of Jesus our Lord and the Temple era.

The Temple stood in the City of David because God chose Zion as His dwelling place, and Zion is explicitly defined as the City of David. David built the first altar on the Ophel, where God answered by fire, and Solomon built the Temple on that exact site. The location required the Gihon Spring for living water, which exists only in the City of David. Therefore, the biblical evidence places the Temple on the Ophel ridge within the City of David, not on the later Herodian platform.

The world is going to marvel when the truth is revealed of the Temples true location. It will breathe a collective sigh of relief as they now know there will not be that Arab/Israeli conflict over location and conflict of each other’s Holy site(s). If you ask any Jewish person walking in the streets of Jerusalem, "How will the third Temple be built when the Dome of the Rock is in its place currently"? Almost to a fault, they say God will provide a miracle. Well, I submit to all, God has already provided that miracle, and they just don't know it yet.

And ... I also want to submit that it very well could be the Anti-Christ himself that ‘miraculously’ provides the evidence to prove exactly what I am saying here. One has to admit if I am right, it will have tremendous ramifications for the world and end times prophecy. It could be revealed right at the beginning of the first 3.5 years of the tribulation period. When a pseudo-PEACE is proclaimed. The world will marvel and call this infernal one, a miracle worker. Imagine that. But remember what Jesus said … when they cry Peace, Peace … sudden destruction will come. God bless. IHS
