I went to see this on release in the cinema. During this scene It seemed, to me, that not one breathe was taken by anyone in that auditorium for about 8 minutes. I certainly don't remember taking in any air. SP is, and still remains the living master of movies. I love him so much.

To all the people saying "oh well ya know the book was better" because they want to sound smart actually sound dumb af. The book is entertaining but anti climactic, and what makes JP the movie a masterpiece is the arch of Alan Grant. In the book grant loves kids, in the movie he hates them. When the T rex breaks out, it forces Grant to become something he has never been before - a father. A father to two kids who have apparently been abandoned in both the scene as in life. By the end, grant and the kids have an unbreakable bond and grant has a new appreciation for children and the future, tieing into the central theme that "Life finds a way." Even for Dr. Grant, life found a way. That's masterful, genius, and brilliantly played out.

4:09 I donโt know if you guys have noticed this, but since the T-Rex broke the top window of the van, now thereโs either 3 things that happened with the goats leg that was on top of the car. 1: the goatโs leg was knocked off of the top of the car while the T-Rex was headbutting the car, 2: the T-Rex ate the goats leg as it broke the top window of the car, and 3: since the top window of the car is now broken, the goats leg is now in the car with the kids.

These kids are dumb
@LexGuzman-j8hHowโs this an iconic scene? Writing was so bad. You have to force conflict by making the girl makes dumb moves flashing the light ๐ itโs not like she is a baby. She is old enough to know not to grab the animalโs attention
@Ayou0811Ian Malcolm was going to give his life to save the kids. As far as Grant knew, he died a hero.
@That0neGeckoIt still pisses me off when she turned on that light ๐
@jdrayton72246:21 My favorite part
@Jakov_MoorePossibly one of the most iconic movie scenes of the 90s, maybe even of all time.
@MatthewThorpe-e5jFun fact
: the reason why donald is a jerk here is to balance out Hammond being a kinder person but in the book Donald is a heroic man while Hammond doesn't care
Arguably the most iconic scene in ALL of Jurassic Park. The first time we see Rexy...
@LITTLEdzx1:06 Hes busy on a baseball match
@mollyshoemaker6242Foley artist : the dinasor sounds is the combinations of crocodile,lion, elephants roaring ! Sound engineering ! So today when you see this scene you don't panic much !
@gulveerbedi6883I like how the T-Rex isnโt entirely focusing on the humans and just seems a slight bit more fascinated with the car, considering she never saw one before.
@amyrodgers42524:10 btw this wasnโt supposed to happen, those are REAL screams of REAL terror
@tubaughloohoo1:07 the goat is on the other side of the fence and is about to escape
@wrestlinganddogspretty much as a totally pissed off Tyranasauras would act after finally getting out of it''s cage. it's amazing how much kids love dinasaurs. i admit - even today - we have more than enuf spectacular or deadly animals still around.
@bongowil3728this scene will go down in Cinematic history.
