the subscription model is FINALLY dying.
Video Overview & Insights
Hey there, and welcome back to another video. In this video, im talking about how the subscription model service, one of the biggest pests in the tech world, has finally seen a decline, as consumers are beginning to vote with their wallets, and realize "lets not pay a subscription for literally everything!".
Adobe is worth it because I can use 15 different apps, but zbrush, autodesk Maya, render engines like red shift is just bull shit.

I have always hated bills as a kid. Granted, when I say this, I had a seven-year-old mindset. I found it was crazy. I had a bill for water. You meant to tell me it cost money to drink shit I need. Years down the line someone told me subscriptions. Are worse than bills. The water bill sucks, but you need to stay alive. You donβt need that Netflix subscription. I now pirate or by physical. If itβs a non-physical product. I will go out of my way to download. The free offbrand.

Free-market capitalism is supposed to work via circulation and instead we're being pushed into a strip-mine.
Investors and CEOs forgot consumers don't have literally infinite money, and you can only funnel so much of it into a single convergence point before the rest of the economy dries up.

Someone actually reading the description :O
Adobe resolve ππ
(If you saw this, make sure to subscribe!)
I used Creative Cloud for like a year. Then, at some point I was just like: "Nah...There must be something out there, thats free but does SORT OF the same thing as Adobe stuff does." And there is. Maybe there's some stuff thats not as expansive as Adobe stuff, but so far everything I do creatively, I could do with some sort of Open Source Alternative.

Hey Adobe! Subscribe to this!
@t1czerRandomly saw this video and I have to say, apart from agreeing with you, that I love this style of videos. You talk about your subject while doing a project in Minecraft or whatever. Simply lovely.
@gebippAlmost all my personal stuff is run through blender and affinity (which they made free)
Probably will switch to blebder and procreate when affinity studio starts going down the toilet becuase itβs a matter of when not if especially since thereβs an optional subscription
bro i remember when subscriptions were a good bargen and now its just
me: oh whats this?
companies:oh no you have to sub to a subscription to access this
me: oh ok how much is it?
companies: 20 dollars a month.
me: 20 DOLLARS!?!?
companies: oh ya you also have to stay subbed for a year, just the TOS
me: i dont wanna know anymore.
Thank god.
@medumdbutnotstupeid4:23 nice voice crack
@janhenneplacePiracy FTW π₯π₯π₯
@MrMcCoffeeYou guys have subscriptions?
@Celis.CSubscriptions with Money shouldn't have ever been invented.
@minecraftexpertstudios7368All these companies make you pay subscriptions as if you also don't have bills to pay.
@MuFiO101I have badic photo editing needs.
I still use Photoshop 7 on Windows 11 pc. It gets job done for me.
I have bought Β£3000 software in the past. But ask me to pay Β£1500 a year as a subscription... I'll just steal it.
Just download and run the software inside a VM with no internet access.
I was using Photoshop for my work for 20+ years. I moved to Clip Studio Paint because of the forced AI, subscription model, and the fact that Adobe relies so heavily on their prevalence in the market that their customer service tends to blame you when something goes wrong. I have had issues with Photoshop that customer service said was on my end just for me to roll back the update and it work perfectly fine again. Not to mention the constant badgering about Cloud and their new AI features.
@mattg6106I never got into the subscription thing. I went around years ago to thrift stores and bot CDs of office 07. So i have physical copies of Office i can use when ever. I bough physical media and anything that required a subscription, i didn't use. Life is expensive enough without all the little fees.
@FuImaDragonIβm so glad everyone is finally pushing back on these subscriptionsβ¦ itβs too muchβ¦ I use to love having a lite version of Photoshop but they want a subscriptionβ¦ I try to find something that looks free then they hit you with a trial noticeβ¦ immediately uninstallβ¦
Just let me have the option of buying it one time and thatβs it.. but a lot of these apps and software companies hit you with a try for 30 days notice crapβ¦ even apps to make a collage wants you to pay monthly β¦ f outta hereβ¦
Until these companies fall back with their pricing with these subscriptionsβ¦ we the customers have all the rights to say no thatβs and close your wallets.
If AI kills something, let it be Adobe photoshop.
@phoenix5054Its not
@SCARawGotta work on getting rid of "crutch words" such as "Um", "er, and "uh". Other than that, good video
@DmacAttack05There are 2 things that ruin everything: Pride and Greed.
@ThatIdiotPalmoSAY IT WITH ME FOLKS! If buying isnt owning, Piracy isnt stealing!
@IhaveawholepackofjellybeansDont forget rising of AI means less customer
@izzuddinmnasir4884I refuse to pay a sub for software. It's just a rort and taking advantage of the consumer base.
@majesticmsfcTake a shot for every time bro says βyou knowβ
@sebastianaquino74547:31 itβs the same with Roblox
@Ilovepi-c4eI will NEVER buy anything from HP that requires a subscription.
@75OldsNinetyEightI'm still mad about software that became had one-time lifetime purchase becoming subscription only. Eff you Macrium Reflect and Adobe.
@lazylonewolfI find subscription fee for anything to be kind of pointless given the economy we're living in. That why I simply live with using free/open source software because it might be as good as the so called premium software but it just gets the job done.
@aodfrRemember cable tv? Remember news paper? I pay only Google/ YouTube. Why? Because I actually use it all the time. Why not? Because everything literally everything that's free sucks and tries to make you gay. Prove me wrong.
@dallassegnoHonestly no.it.not adobe that started it old skool MMORPG like WOW started ever since then the industry moved over to it over time do to having more success with that model across the industry until now cause it has reached a Tipping point cause they now know not everyone likes this and ones that pay also buy other subscriptions so they just killed them until they were empty now wondering what happened to all the money.
@jonnugent8849There's a reason auto makers aren't fighting against the US federal government auto kill switch mandate. The distracted and drunk driving prevention part may never come to fruition but the ability to brick your car remotely is a perfect setup to turn your actually purchasing a car into you've only purchased a license to drive your car and if you want to actually drive the car pay your monthly car subscription fee or the auto company will brick your car.
@garysprandel1817fun fact, if you open a new card and close the old one... all your subscriptions will cancel automatically bc there is no card to charge :) Thats how i got rid of my adobe subscription on accident but i honestly was thinking about cancelling it anyways so it was a win win
@luckymuddypawI donβt mind subscriptions. So as long as they are constantly providing new content and or services. I donβt mean tiny little updates every now and again.
Subscription based transactions need to be heavily regulated.
Yess yes! Subscription model for a digital product is BS! Not simply because "muh company is too greedy". But because intelectual property is not a real property. It's a privileged supposed to be given to innovators and creative people! Not lawyers and middle men who's benefiting in our current system.
@MarvelofSundayPeople yet play world of warcraft.
@lordzen6396Dont be happy continue to fight ant practices that hurt the consumer and educate and preach the knowledge.
@darksoulsclippySubscription models and billionaires are literally parasites and need to be treated as such
@meatwaxClick Farming Video ever βπ»π«©
@TopazTuberIf I try to cancel and they say "please call" no... I'll cancel my bank card. Screw that
