Caffeine is the most widely consumed mind-altering drug on the planet. Find out what would happen if you stopped consuming caffeine for 30 days.

Neutralize the Bad Effects of Caffeine

I have had major adrenal fatigue from coffee. I knew this because of my stress response and also my lack of good sleep. I have had some withdrawal. I tried a coffee yesterday and shocker I slept horrible last night. Prior to this my energy levels were great and I was falling asleep better. I tried a coffee this morning and it didn't even taste good. As much as I love the flavor of coffee, I am going to stop caffeine even in tea. Thanks for your videos! They're always very helpful and informative!

Are you dependent on Caffeine for Energy?

What Jonnie talks about, is that your dreams will be as vivid as they’ve ever been. After the first few weeks, I noticed that my REM sleep was crazy!!! It was like I was on gas station melatonin. My dreams were memorable and full every night. And it has not stopped after six weeks.

So frustrating when you go to YouTube wanting deeper information on a topic. You've already thought about a million times of life and you click on a video and it's just like KATHY MAY SEEM GOOD AND IN SOME WAYS IT IS, BUT ALSO IN SOME WAYS IT'S NOT. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER QUITTING. IT AFFECTS YOUR SLEEP AND STRESS. TRY TO JUST DRINK ONE. ONE. REALLY INTERESTING WAY THAT YOU CAN GRADUALLY STOP DRINKING. COFFEE IS JUST.... DO IT GRADUALLY

Let’s talk about what would happen if you cut out caffeine for 30 days.

Over 85% of adults in the US consume caffeine, and children also consume a tremendous amount of caffeine.

Rooibos tea has been my thing since giving up caffeine almost two months ago. I finally feel like my normal self again and I'm sleeping so much longer 9 to 10 hours a night. Mind you, I'm an overnight shift worker, too. I used to run on just 4 to 5 hours of sleep a day, fueled by way too much pre-workout and coffee

— @sirjohnnysan

Some studies show that caffeine consumption can increase conceptual memory, reasoning, reaction speed, and spatial memory. It can also affect your mood.

However, many people experience symptoms associated with consuming caffeine, including:

Ok, I'd rather practice MODERATION when it comes to fatty food, coffee, sweets, etc then quit all together because those things bring me a degree of happiness.

— @bobwhammer4237

• Anxiety

• High blood pressure

I just love gunpowder green tea SOOO much

— @rosameijering5161

• High pulse rate

• Arrhythmias

I went from drinking 3 to 5 cups a day (some days 2 would be Starbucks) to drinking it only on the weekends, feeling great, and I still get to have it

— @DAA314

• Loss of fluid

• Digestive problems

Choline inistol, fennegreek also majorly helps

— @hopemiele1549

Caffeine also increases adrenaline and stimulates the adrenals, which can lead to all kinds of health concerns.

There can be high levels of two different types of mold found in overly processed coffees and decaf coffees. These types of mold can lead to allergies and irritation in the liver.

Why did this same doctor suggest black coffee in every other video ? Even during intermittent fasting

— @vivekkumar-ij8lg

Coffee can also deplete vitamin B1. If you’re going to drink coffee, it’s important to consume high-quality organic coffee and keep it at one cup a day.

Ginger tea for me from now on.

— @hookywookywithmalarkyman704

Potential benefits of not consuming caffeine for 30 days:

1. Less anxiety and a higher sense of calm

Having been a daily coffee drinker for the last 10-15 years, I decided to see what being caffeine free would be like. I didn't think it would make much difference but I feel way better. My consumption was probably around 900mg a day (18g freshly ground beans ~5 times a day and a cup of black tea or two).

I've started having dreams again (previous to this I can't remember the last time I've had a dream), but every night I'll have at least one I remember and usually more. This is likely due to proper REM sleep returning which is probably having some real benefits to my memory (according to AI) and other parts of my brain. I also have energy throughout the day and just feel more zen in general, highly recommended.

It's pretty obvious in hindsight but I've been so used to drinking coffee all day every day that I didn't think it really affected me much.

I now drink proper decaf coffee and it's good stuff, 80% as good as 'proper' coffee which is more than worth it for me.

— @HenleyBailey

2. Better sleep and more energy throughout the day

3. Lowered blood pressure and pulse rate

I am anti caffeine

— @fatherofboss661

4. No more arrhythmias

5. Healthier teeth

One week caffeine free, I got real sick and didn't get out of bed for 2 days, on the third day I said let's see how long I can go. I had a little brain fog on days 4 and 5, and I noticed my legs seemed heavier the first few hours in the morning. I also noticed I prioritize sleep as that is my new cup of coffee and I have also noticed I'm falling asleep faster and sleeping better. More dreams. The final 3 things that I have noticed is I'm hungrier, I have less heartburn and esophagus irritation and I haven't had a headache since I started a week ago and I usually would get atl least 1 headache a week and maybe one migraine a month. Fingers crossed.

— @pattfam5663

6. Healthier liver function

7. Healthier adrenal function

5 days caffeine free

— @nicejob1589

The best ways to come off caffeine:

• Switch from coffee to tea

I am caffeine free for 107 days. After getting off it, mental clarity and sleep have dramatically improved. 90 days was my original goal, but now I am going to my next goal of 180 days. Basically just reset the 90 days and go again. Honestly, I don't miss it - it almost feels like I never drank it to begin with. Powerful reminder that we all need to question why we do the daily habits that we do? Is it helping you toward your goals, or is it simply keeping you in a rut? First couple of days is rough, beyond that - easy. I had high blood pressure while on caffeine, and now last checked 5/4/26 was 117/70.... wow! Try it for yourself and explore what positive effects you get from it.

— @ZachariahKrieger

• Try herbal coffee substitutes

• Take vitamin B1 and vitamin B12

• Take adaptogens like ashwagandha and lemon balm tea

Honestly, I have yet to find the substance that keeps me awake. So l wouldn't have a problem weaning myself off from caffeine. I basically drink coffee for its taste. It's there is a problem I have with coffee, it's the heartburn I get as a result of drinking it.

I had crazy heart palpitations from dehydration and caffeine at work while I was in the heat. I ended up going cold turkey but ashwaganda is really helping me. I was drinking significant amount of caffeine for a year with an energy drink almost every day or other day. My goal is to move to drinking tea instead or cutting caffeine entirely while I have the opportunity. These energy drinks are terrible for the body.

What one should do is go from green tea to DECAF coffee, which has less caffeine than green tea. Herbal tea has ZERO caffeine!

Day 4. More calm, more grounded already. But have headaches, a bit of nausea and I went for a workout and wow it was rough!

No brain fog though. Focus is okay.

Am happy I went cold turkey since I'm almost through it.

25 days without cafeine. I dropped abruptaly.

Many days with headaches;

But after that:
Anxiety dropped;
Feeling calm af, feels like I took diazepam;
Creativity improved, and without the anxiety on my way, I can go on with my endeavors;
My heart stopped beating strong, erradically and fast;

Off caffeine and I'm way less thirsty, hungry and tired. I take thc edibles due to the radiation coming back and wrecking. I had no idea but the thc hits harder, longer and different while off caffeine. Coffee slowly robs you of sleep. Had 3 stokes before I was 40 because of sleep deprivation. Used to lay in bed for hours before I fell asleep. Not so off caffeine.

@jeremiahkirby6552

Life is too beautiful for not drinking nice tasting hot coffee. I went months without coffee (it's amazing, you actually wake up naturally in the morning!), but with coffee it's better. And just drinking decaf is a pitiful existence. But less coffee, or every now and again a day without coffee is a good thing.

@Lektuerekurs

I left tea, coffee or anything which has caffeine from past 6 months, not by watching some videos, but I asked myself a question that why I drink it? That was trigger to help me stop it.

No caffeine.
No alcohol.
No drugs.
I like being in control and not relying on a substance to get me through the day.
"America Runs on Dunkin"...
Coffee is a "legal" drug that is highly addictive.
It's an expensive habit....even the cheapest coffee will cost you at least $4 a cup.
