I've been wanting a more faithful adaptation to the King (technical his alter-ego Richard Bachman) book, since i read it 30 years ago. Don't get me wrong, the Arnold version of the Running Man is classic peak Arnold, but it shares almost no similarities to the book, other than some character names and there is a game show called the running man. Now I don't know if this just trailer bait, but they are making the movie look more comedic than book. The book is bleak very bleak.

Hollywood with the condescending interracial couple IN EVERY SINGLE DAMN MOVIE THAT GETS MADE NOW!!!!!!!

Whoa, this sounds intense, in a totally messed-up, can’t-look-away kind of way. I’m getting Squid Game meets The Hunger Games vibes, but with a more grounded, gritty twist. Glen Powell as the desperate dad-turned-underdog hero? I’m in. And Josh Brolin playing a ruthless producer sounds like perfect casting. It’s smooth on the outside, but ice-cold underneath. Honestly, it’s wild how believable that setup feels, like we’re only a few reality shows away from something like this actually happening. Definitely watching for the tension and the commentary.

Considering by trailer - it's clоser to the book, but still as crazy as classic with Schwarzenegger, and for bonus this movie was announced in the same year as another adaptation of King - The Long Walk. :)

🤔 Is this a parody trailer?? Looks like a parody trailer… With all the (stupid and predictable) "correct" boxes ticked… Zero excitement and "epicness" here… Big NO-NO for me. अगर तुमको 1987 वाला Arnold वाला ‘Running Man’ याद है, तो ये इसका शायद modern re-imagining लग सकता है… लेकिन ज्यादा gritty, ज्यादा immersive, और IMAX वाला scale तो वैसे भी कुछ और ही बात है।
