The Rise Of The Spanish Dynasty | When Spain Ruled The World
Video Overview & Insights
Once upon a time, no football team on the planet stood a chance against Spain. A team of incredible skill, power and depth. In my opinion, the most dominant national football team of the modern era of football.
nice
In this video, we talk about why that is the case and how that happened.

Spain underachieved for so long I was happy for them finally breaking through, but my GOD that “tiki-taka” was f**king AWFUL to watch. Unironically it took Germany of all sides to make international football fun again.

11:02- The Rise Of Tiki-Taka
LOL, a fart in a basket.
Spain national team has no football history whatsoever despite three cups, irrelevant really.

It’s still insane that fucking Bob Bradley and the USA managed to beat them in a competitive match

Hey, we won the euros tho in 2024
@gusionsomethingI‘d argue that Germany between 72 and 76 were just as dominant. Winning the Euros 72 and World Cup 74 and only losing in the final of Euros 76 on penalties while Bayern (who build the core of the national team) won the European cup back to back to back between 74 and 76
@jofrohwiederdaYou made this video after Argentina achieved the same on July 2024. Besides, if Argentina wins 2026 world cup, this gonna be surpassed. Check yourself your Eurocentrism bro ✌🏼
@diegoalbuja1988Is hard to digest but the world cup was coincidentally won during Barcelona prime.
People say casilla saved spain. But it was not neither casilla or iniesta.
It was the football they played and that football was influenced by pep guardiola glory in the Spanish league and Europe success.
Also thanks to the midfield they had which they had xabi alonso. ( HE IS NOT BAD)
But I think we all know who actually made the midfield work, which are xavi and iniesta.
Then busquets takin the cdm role in the euros.
Is not coincidence that Spain rise coincidentally comes after pep's success and Barcelona's prime players.
17'40" dude, you're wrong in one of the most important issues about this team. In 2008, Marcos Senna used to play as the only central midfielder, with Xavi and Iniesta 15 meters forward (as if they were playing for Barça), and Villa and David Silva starting as wingers but going both inmediately to the center and leaving space for the runs of Ramos and Capdevila. It was more a 4-1-4-1 than a 4-4-2. And this is important because the most visible change Del Bosque made was to put 2 central midfielders, Busquets and Xabi Alonso.😢
@sobrevaloradoPlease do an African team, Maybe Ghana or South Africa
@limitless_beats_tutorialsGood video
Im doing my morning jobby watching rthis❤
Lovely
Xavi Hernández is the key
@Alemañol81Agora faz um sobre o Brasil
@samuelantunes9147Regarding 2010: the Netherlands' defense was their weakest point all tournament.
On 2012: lining up to a EUROs final without a striker was audacious.
Could easily say that about now...
@ICader-1620every time spain faces the hosting national team... something weird happens... even the 2010 final was dreadful... ref Howard Webb should have been retired after that
@GuifaliGreat video mate, regards from Spain
Well, actually, both David Villa and David Silva played for Valencia in the 2009-10 season...
@McHrodikTheir success back then was mainly thanks to the catalans in the team .. visca Catalunya!
@juanlui284Really cannot let you tell 2010's Nederlands was the best Dutch team in 40 years... Take the 1998's one, for only one example... 2002, 1992, etc...
@quavdeEVERYTHING was thanks to the best CATALAN coach (Pep Guardiola) and team (BARÇA) in the world. Pep Guardiola, improved FUTBOL AL PRIMER TOC (what you englishmen call “tiki-taka”). What a HUGE misrepresentation of CATALAN influence. Spain just stole it from us.
@angrycatalan325And now Spain is coming near its prime again
@Dry_rpSpain world champion,.. from opressed to opresor,..
@alberpajares47922010 David Villa era del VALENCIA. No hizo los méritos con el Barça, que lo fichó ese verano para la siguiente temporada
@elhijodelablanquiImagine expecting FRANCE FOOTBALL to ever give a Ballon d'Or to Spain.... wait a minute, Rodri did... Iniesta and Xavi were robbed by the argie maFIFA
@jonanderirureta8331Rest of the world: perplexed
America: "What if we just beat the shit out of them?"
I am Spanish and have been following football almost 50 years... during the 2010 Worldcup I was at hospital unconscious and, when they finally let me go home, I remember my entire family prepared a welcome party, they sat me in front of a TV and they told me, "we want you to enjoy the party but also watch three matches in a row"... the first one was quarters... so I straight away shouted... ARE YOU SAYING SPAIN WON THE WORLDCUP???? LOL... not the best way to live the event but well :)
@oommccAragones did it all. Well, maybe not everything, but he had the courage to change the strategy, the philosophy, and certain pieces that were untouchable at the time. Raúl was a god in Spain, and removing him from the national team was almost a mortal sin. Aragones gave him a pass without blinking an eye, and for weeks he was burned for it by the press.
Obviously, the World Cup is the biggest trophy, but Euro 2008 was the biggest victory. It proved the team could win and made the country believe in it. I suppose the team believed it too, because that was just the beginning. Without Aragones and without that victory, the rest wouldn't have happened. I've always had a certain resentment about this because it seems like Del Bosque did it all. It wasn't the first time Del Bosque found himself in the same situation. He had previously coached a Real Madrid that was already established and had already won everything. He kept winning, but Capello was the one who had made that Real Madrid. With the national team and Aragones, I felt the same. It seemed like Del Bosque had done everything, when he was just continuing something that was already underway, something that Aragones had to fight for.
I made peace with Del Bosque. But it does hurt me that people don't give enough credit to the man who spearheaded that revolution and took on all the attacks. It's also true that few had Luis's character to decide, act, and accept the consequences. I think if we changed the coaching order, instead of two European Championships and a World Cup, we'd have one and one. Del Bosque wouldn't have dared to remove Raúl or the rest of the untouchables in 2008.
Winning a World Cup is difficult, but I think the hardest part is changing the mentality of a losing team to hungrer for victory, and delivering that first victory was what made everything else possible.
Of course, a great video. You're speaking highly of my national team, and I've suffered greatly with them. I cried when I saw Luis Enrique's helplessness, bleeding from his nose, in that match. It hurts to think we played like never before and always lost. Today you've reminded me that we don't just know how to lose. In Spain, it wasn't just the team that lost, but the country, too, and I don't think we realized that until we won.
I belive the prime reason Spain lost is dominance lies in the decision ofcreal madeid an barcelona to steer away from national players and start hiring foreign players with big name and big t-shirt sales prospectieves.
For a player in every displine to reach his best, it needs to compete against the beat of the players in its displine. The two teams that compete atvthat lwvel in Spain are Madrid and Barcelona. Qhen those tqo teams stopped employing national players, they close the soor for national players to reach is peak. And so the national team lose potential
Happiest times in terms of football in my life ❤❤❤... As. A Spain 🇪🇸 fan... I loved every pass
@KafiDhonbeThe Spanish Dynasty is not spanish but catalan. Barça won the 2010 World Cup. Witthout Barça , Real Madrid would be like PSG and nobody would remenber CR7.

@gregoriomoyapardo8419Ese equipo era especial. No por sus individuos, como equipo era una máquina bien engrasada.
