I am Spanish and have been following football almost 50 years... during the 2010 Worldcup I was at hospital unconscious and, when they finally let me go home, I remember my entire family prepared a welcome party, they sat me in front of a TV and they told me, "we want you to enjoy the party but also watch three matches in a row"... the first one was quarters... so I straight away shouted... ARE YOU SAYING SPAIN WON THE WORLDCUP???? LOL... not the best way to live the event but well :)

Aragones did it all. Well, maybe not everything, but he had the courage to change the strategy, the philosophy, and certain pieces that were untouchable at the time. Raúl was a god in Spain, and removing him from the national team was almost a mortal sin. Aragones gave him a pass without blinking an eye, and for weeks he was burned for it by the press.
