I would go with 2nd. As a precaution.
Unless all of the ones they predict are harmful (patterns). I would believe the 2nd.
And any interaction itself is anomalous. The participants are now 'presentient' themselves.
And the interaction may be wgat the goal of the paper being anomolous accomplishes reguardless.

@Aintrealy2357Uhh no the spiraling path’s point was it was what all the anomalous discoveries unlocked from. It’s not if they never found it humanity would be defenseless and doomed. It’s it provided the keys to unlock the universe which led to greater anomalies which can threaten to do everhting.
