The only slider you should buy (iFootage Shark Nano 2)
Video Overview & Insights
This is the iFootage Shark Nano 2, made in collaboration with DJI, it allows you to attach your DJI RS2 (and newer) gimbal and combine its movements with the sliders to create very unique shots.
Man love what you do! Really usefull thx!!
Shark Nano II - https://geni.us/7Aot
0:01 - How easy to use is this?
2:49 but you have to set the slider to be slower, I think the speed might affect the level of the sound
1:57 - Example shot using the slider and gimbal
2:10 - No app required
Anyone checked already the slider, if it works with DJI RS5?
2:37 - How loud is it?
3:02 - Is there jitter?
It’s cool but the price is double what it needs to be.
3:24 - 10 second slider shot
3:41 - Faster, 3 second shot
The 200mm macro shot at 15 seconds really shows how smooth the Shark Nano 2 is.
3:58 - Even Faster, 1 second shot
4:10 - Using it vertical and weight payload
I like that it doesn't need an App. That's is Edelkrone's achilles heel. But the footage doesn't look markedly better than my Edelkrone Footage with my Headplus Pro and SliderOne. I would like to find something that can replace the Edelkrone that doesn't have jitter, but I see some tiny jitter in this footage. Very minute, but still there. I guess I need to move up to the $30K robotic arms to be really jitter free LOL.
4:30 - Mounting points
4:42 - Can you use it on a Tripod?
This is AWESOME!!!
5:10 - Marco shot at 100mm, 15 second
5:34 - It comes in two sizes + comparison to the shark slider 1
You make it look so easy, it is not
6:51 - Macro shot at 200mm, 15 second slider movement
7:18 - Macro shot at 200mm, 6 second slider movement
Can you use it upside down?
7:35 - How the slider and gimbal are powered
10:25 - Demo using the app
Main point in test footage is to see if the slider is smooth enough, but test footage seems to be shot at 24fps, so no chance to see anything.
12:21 - something i'd like to see improved

CAMERAS I USE
Hey brother, I just bought this slider and gimbal based on this video! I only have a peak design travel tripod and I think I am going to need those magic arms you mention in your video. I dont want to buy the ifootage ones as they are a bit pricy, and was wondering if you have any other recommendations for magic arms I could use to provide stability to the slider on my tripod? Maybe you have a better setup I could use? I have a garage gym and want to shoot around in there but I am not sure what a good setup would be. Thanks for any help you can provide!

BEST BUDGET LENSES
Thanks.. Can it control the stabilizer’s focus motor? That would be a game changer. I have a YC Onion slider that does something similar, though its app isn’t as polished. Still, the inability to add focus control points really limits its potential

I just got mine. It keeps beeping about every 3 seconds after I turn it on. Then, when I unlock it, it is pretty hard to move. Also, the base won't turn at all. I feel like if I use any more strength, I will break it.
----------------------------------------------------------
MICS I USE
What version of the slider software are you using? I just purchased this setup, using version 0.0.26 of the software. I can get the unlock indication by either simultaneously pushing the power and function, or by using the app - but the slider carriage and the gimbal remain locked. I cannot manually position anything.

they need to sell the components so we can put our own rails.....needs to be much longer....short is good for the small photo sessions but larger projects need the longer rail capability. for $750+ needs to be able to have a much longer run.

Great review!! Thanks for a super cohesive video! Huge fan of Ifootage products. Question: Are there settings for speed dampening? Like where it slows down as it comes into a keyframe instead of just a hardstop? Looks like a great piece of gear!

will this work inverted, or mounted on the ceiling? thx
More User Perspectives
Ya I wouldn’t mind having this setup in my studio. So good. Great video!
@PaulFeinbergI just got this..unfortunately i have a scorp 2 gimble which i love more than the DJI gimbles…but it seems like this is made for the DJI gimbles but i am sure i can setup my gimble without communicating with the slider to do auto stuff while the slider is being used…
@ANRO_ANROIt should be noted this will NOT work with the regular RS3 Gimbal as it lacks the side pins to connect to the slider for full functionality. Amazing product, though I'm not ready to upgrade my RS3 quite yet just for this slider.
@tkwt10Great job on the video Chris! Thanks for making it.
@Hobbies4HireDoes it work to slide vertically as well?
@DEFYfitnessThis is awesome. The amount of creativity it opens up with ease, 🤯
@James.BuchananDo you think you'd be able to check this item when traveling or would it not pass due to an internal batter? Does the unit itself have a lithium power source or it must run off of the USB-C or other power source?
@pinnaclephotoLooks like a good improvement over the first Shark Nano that I own. The micro jitters are incredibly annoying. I also like that it's compatible with DJI gimbals, but what I don't like is the new price tag. It has become way more expensive! Question since you have it: Does it still eat up attached batteries like candy even when turned off? The first version does.
