"Was meinst du?" and "What do you mean?" is interesting. I believe it can also be translated to "What do you think?" I have sometimes heard native German speakers say "What do you mean?" after they suggest an idea or plan to me which does not really work in English.

as this is not my first go at learning a language, this is gold.. any non nouns need to be learnt in context, ideally one example per context, so important.

When she says vlogs and it sounds like flogs 🤭I gargled my tea for you gyal. Thanks for the lesson.

Your English is virtually perfect too!

Honestly, what you are doing in this video only works for people who already understand German grammar. You are going way too fast over material particularly cases that people struggle with for years. Dative and Genitiv are unlike English and most people struggle with it for a long time. Anyway, there’s just way too much material for a total beginner to deal with in this video and you may be turning people off of German more than you realize.

You're excellent!

Ich habe Deutsch studiert für 3 Semester in Kalifornien, 83-84. Also ich nach Deutschland ging, um eine Freundin zu besuchen, die Mutter sagte immer, Prima, Michael, du sprichst gut Deutsch! Sie war sehr gütig. Ich freute mich mit Ihnen. Das war in 1979, während Weinachtzeit und das Sylvester.

Du hast eine gute Methode, Deutsch zu lehren. Vielen Dank!

Seriously, you do not need to learn German grammar because Germans will begin to speak English to you as soon as they detect your non-German accent trying to speak their language 🥶

Hallo Lari! I have been viewing your videos and like the comprehensive input concept. I do have a question. Would it be easier to learn how to "think" in German? What I mean by "thinking" is keep the word order the same when translating from German to English.

@glennkeller5171

My mother was German, I speak a reasonable German, my wife and I, grown kids on their own for some time, have been to Germany a total of five long and extended visits in the last 16 years. Little Germany could be great again if only you would remove your Muslims and Africans that you have allowed to infest Germany. What we saw in Berlin was horrible.
