The ONLY 5 Credit Cards You Need (2026)
Video Overview & Insights
In this video, I break down exactly which cards belong in your wallet, from covering rent and groceries to handling everyday purchases and travel. I also address the major Bilt 2.0 changes and what renters should do right now. More importantly, I show you how to use all five cards together as one complete system so that nearly every dollar you spend is earning you cash back, points, or travel rewards. If you are ready to stop leaving money on the table, this video gives you the exact plan to follow.

Business Credit:
I like Fidelity card's flat 2% back. I recommended it for my mother who is a senor just to keep things simple. That 2% cash back can be automatically put into her investment account so the return may be potentially far in excess of 2%.

Credit Monitoring
I've seen many videos in this basic genre. I feel yours is especially good and I upvoted it. I only have one suggestion and one question, if you don't mind.
- I would have valued hearing your thoughts on the Citi Strata Premier card, which many use in conjunction with the Custom Cash & Double Cash.
- You mentioned paying for Amazon orders with the Double Cash card, but wouldn't using the Prime Visa credit card be better for that (5% vs. 2%)?

Hello, Iโm new to your channel and am not sure if you have covered this in an earlier video. I have $30K credit limit on a card that has zero perks. Is there any way to transfer that credit limit over to a new card that actually has benefits. Iโve been sitting on that for years and donโt want to lose it but it has no extra value

@matthewryan2325Disagree. AAA Daily from commenity for grocery/pharmacy and AAA travel for gas/travel. Savor for dining/entertainment Wells fargo active for 2%. US Cash plus for for utility, cell phone etc 2 category 5%

@nidmurphy7994Naam what's top 2 merchant accounts or payment processors to get? I plan on getting into Ecommerce.
@yancyhammondjrHaving to pay one month of interest basically destroys all your โcash backโ for like five years, thatโs why credit card companies make billions per year and youโre poor.
@grant9047My credit stinks. I started out with $300...now i have 8 cards from $300-$1500...My question is,how do i go about dropping some of these cards with out killing my credit score? Any advice on what to do? With each card a few months later i would get an offer for a diff one...i accepted because i needed the help. Now i dont need/want them all..what should i do?
@dwade6322We keep it simple
Hilton Surpass
6x groceries, gas and dining
4x online shopping 3x
3x everything else
15k yearly spend = 1 Uncapped FNC (+90k points if spent on elevated categories)
We consistently get a CPP value of 6-8 at Hilton so that works for us!
Chase preferred gives you airport lounge access? I thought it was only for Reserve card.
@chris.favaleGetting Venture X before any refresh doesnโt lock you into anything, they can still change the structure of the card for current cardholders
@santinavarrette6217great video. thank you.
@explorewatcThanks for the video, Nam. Would love to see a video on the best cards for expats. I live in Germany and work at a US Army base.

@ElChentonStrong lineup for building a simple but effective credit card setup. Focusing on a few well chosen cards can outperform having too many without a clear plan.
@justinmircheNever had a mortgage company that accepted CC.
@Step-n-WolfAmex Blue preferred - groceries
Chase Sapphire Preferred - travel and hotel. Vacation card
Amazon Prime store card - Amazon
Costco Citi - Costco gas
Robinhood Gold - everything else 3%
I couldnโt find a better combination.
Good job
@DavidKnicksIt's crazy how many people still hate on Bilt Palladium without having a clue as to how it's the best catch-all card on the market. It's a 3.33x on miscellaneous and with the accelerator it becomes a 4.33x. Not a single card offers that. HOWEVER, it's only worth it if you use up the hotel credits and it becomes your official catch all card. Outside of that, it serves no purpose because nothing will offset the annual fee.
@voltdesignstudiosGreat vid and thanks for all the info. For the ppl that just want cash back, I have been using the PayPal Debit card for 5% back on groceries. And you can use it at cosco and sams it will consider it a grocery store. I know not a credit card but still get money back benefit.
@over9k_eberlol why you talking about god now? You wasnโt screaming about god when you were on your backโฆ.well maybe she was ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ

@leonardtownpl4081Recently got approved for Amex BCP. Iโm literally receiving free Disney plus bundle lol
@therealcrieffe01Bilt Obsidian + CSR in place of Amex Gold/CSP and Capital One Venture
@CommentLikeDescribeStop shilling the bilt. It a bad card now
@jcaceres516BILT Palladium is a 3.3x when you swap Bilt point for the accelerator which lets you get up to 3.3x up to $5k for a year up to 5 per year so every other credit card you mentioned is not worth it unless you need that specific point ecosystem!! If you spend more that $25k per year on a credit card then I would do a player 2 strategy with the BILT Palladium or go specific with the ecosystem you need. The $495 fee on the palladium is easily recouped !
@TheSuccessEngineerCan you use the blt card for any mortgage company?
@anthonycrosdale8730I figured I'd offer a Bilt positive data point: I love the new Palladium card. Simple (no long list of fixed coupon credits, and also removes hassle of optimizing), mega points earning potential, earns the strongest points currency out of any ecosystem, and offers the highest transfer bonuses out of any of the issuers.
The only reason to really move off it, is if your spend is SO high, that you generate so much Bilt Cash that you have no tangible uses for it any longer. Then you would be best served going for high spend bonuses on other cards. Otherwise, it is probably the strongest (or one of the strongest) cards in the game today.
Granted, all that being based on whether you value travel rewards or not. If cash back, optimizing might be better for you.
Honestly idiotic to still be recommending BILT anymore
@bend2277As a person with over a million investment with a private bank. I prefer BofA Premium Awards Elite. With PB, it's basically a charge card and the annual fee will be gone while they gave you nearly three percent on any purchases. All you need is a BofA customized cash rewards card and its clones gaining every category 5.265% cashback. You need nothing else.
