I work at a casino so maybe im biased, but at least at a casino you have a nice ambiance(usually) and see the faces of the people you support with your patronage. The workers try to give you the best experience possible to get you to come back, if you aren't happy, why would you go back? Online gambing sucks cuz theres almost zero interactions with others and even less incentive to keep going like cheaper drinks, gas, rooms, or compensations. Say what you will about casinos, but compared to online gambing its leagues better

i also am glad i am dog shit at gambling or else i would 1000% be in this predicament. i did not make the smart choice of smoking 2 cigarettes back to back when i tried which led me to smoke for 10 years after. i'm happy to report i'm 4 years smoke free now however that decade was definitely a poor investment

Being real, my dad is a gambling addict and we went back and forth from having some money to needing to visit food banks. The lure of online gambling to adults but also children will always trigger me with how they don't know what they are entering into.. and don't get me started on the now AI gambling ads, just terrible.

I work as a district manager for a gas station chain. Saw a regular lose 400 on scratchoff tickets then have a mental breakdown as he realized he wasn't going to make rent and his family would be evicted. He was begging everyone who came in for money. I had to call the police to remove him and place a no trespassing order. His crying still haunts me. I wish I was allowed to just cut them off. I tried once and the gambler reported me to corporate and they told me i would be fired if I did it again. Gambling is a cancer on society

this is my first year really being into baseball and in the last like month the season has been going on the algorithm has been able to not only immediately realize im watching more sports but also know exactly which team i cheer for (go jays) and give me PERSONALIZED ADS for betting on jays games specifically

I had a friend who made 2-4K a month with sports betting but that guy was an expert, like he spend 6-8 hours analyzing learning etc and there were still months where he lost or won nothing. Basically a full time job with the possibility of not being paid.

Genuinely this is still one of the best videos you've ever made, the execution does such a perfect job driving your point home. Like I can FEEL the despair and the fear. I've only seen sports betting ads when I happen to be in the living room while my dad watches sports, but the way you present everything in this video makes me truly empathize with everyone who has been bombarded with them constantly. It's so sickening that companies can just do this shit to us, like they want us to be so complacent and basically just money machines at the expense of our own lives and wellbeing. You've done a lot of good videos that tackle that sort of issue, but this one is by far the best.

I went to vegas as a kid, and I had to walk through the gambling section to get my hotel room. Genuinely seeing the desperation in peoples eyes at the slot machine has made gambling make me sick to my stomach ever since. Its actually horrifying how accessible it is now.
