Most people think looking rich is the same thing as building wealth.

He who dies with the most toys wins
or
Compete with yourself to spend as little as possible each month?

— @conrad4667

That’s exactly why they stay stuck.

In this video, we break down the one “broke” habit the upper class quietly loves… and why wealthy people often avoid the flashy lifestyle the middle class chases every day. The truth is, a lot of what society calls “success” is actually destroying people financially behind the scenes.

Stop living beyond your means

— @bluecollarnobody4217

If you want to understand money, finance, personal finance, and how the rich quietly build wealth without needing validation, this video will completely change the way you think about financial freedom, stealth wealth, quiet wealth, and upper class habits.

We’ll dive into the hidden wealth habits, millionaire habits, old money habits, and smart money habits that separate people who LOOK rich from people who actually stay rich for generations. You’ll learn why discipline and wealth go hand in hand, why the wealthy think differently, and how the rich quietly use financial literacy, wealth mindset, and millionaire mindset principles to protect their future.

No broke habits. i got my cars new when we had duel income but paid them off at zero interest. Over 20 years later im still driving them and they are in great condition. Retired now and io don't even need to touch my retirement. So so security and my wife's pension pays for every thing with surplus. I just watch it my investments grow.

— @jamesmartinez991

I'm a minimalist. I buy quality, not quantity. I buy the best new car, negotiate for the best price and pay cash. I buy the ugliest house in the best neighborhood, renovate and payoff in 10yr. I buy quality food and cook at home. I buy quality clothes, not the latest trend. I never buy use. I don't want anyone's junk. And, I still retired early at 57 with millions. Having money is nice but I only have one life to live. I might as well enjoy it too. 😁😁

It's definitely talking about money for me. Raised to think it was taboo.

Life is meant to be lived, balance is everything, showing of unnecessary but produce and enjoy, just a balance.

I purchased a used 2012 Nissan back in 2021. Had a three year car note, paid it off in 11 months 😊

A lot of what the screen shows has value, not buying or leasing new cars on credit, picking up high end stuff from consignment shops can be a very good idea economically, saying no to excessively expensive “treats” like bar hopping or paying big prices for events and buying anything on credit is definitely a very bad but other suggestions aren’t so good for everyone. For instance, i find that eating out a good deal of the time is so convenient that it trumps any savings i can make… of course, I’m not in the US, so it might not apply to you. For one single person buying fresh foods that expire quickly in the refrigerator is not very useful, at least for me. Eggs, bacon and potatoes or oatmeal with fruits are good, also coffee at home is good, but making pastries? I think not. Where in living a decent lunch can cost as little as $2.00, an expensive lunch might set you back $10.00 ( outrageously expensive, i know 😂… so yes, cutting waste and buying stuff on credit works very well for saving money ad well as not chasing stuff to look rich, but there are much better ways to keep and increase your wealth.

Now why would he use the debit card and why would that checking account for more money than my family tree has ever known who writes these things. Anyways I did listen to the video a few days ago and I'm just getting around to delete it now and the funny thing is that guy in the beginning of the video is like me but I'm not worth 8 million Maybe two or three million if you count the assets. And I drive a 12-year-old Subaru and have a 19 40 truck and live in a 10-foot by 55 ft mobile home and the funny thing is I'm very content in living in it I would like to fix up my 48 volt pickup that doesn't really need much work and stuff like that and build me a bigger Workshop but other than that I live around people that buy $80,000 trucks and make payments I don't get it it just doesn't make any sense but then again $80,000 isn't what it used to be so it's really just the fact that they're buying a new vehicle when they have to work for a living that is to say work at a compulsory job and not at their leisure I never plan on not working that would be the equivalent of stagnation decay....

@VerifyVeracity

Most people are in debt up to their eyeballs. Want to know how you know? Ask yourself, who would pay cash for a full size truck with THOSE wheels on it?

Is this a story to pacify poor people? Because people with money will fly business class, you know, every time.

this video is great counter-force to constant credit card, travel and car commercials bashing your brain with FOMO guilt while you try to watch sports.

would also add this lifestyle is much more peaceful. plus gives you extra cash to do more fulfilling stuff in depth for longer with more in-sync people.

11:30 ¨don't talk about money is poor people mindset¨ - so good

i'd also add that you need to find a partner who's not obsessed with instagram and competing with their social circle (frenemies). that crap will ruin your life

@franky5035
@

I like the FOMO point. My final FOMO wakeup call came in 2007. Then again, you also have to understand value. What has it and what doesn't.

The tabu about taking about money is not to talk about how much you have. Talking about how and where to invest is fair game.

"That's hostage negotiation. That's YOU paying ransom to your own ego." WOW. This is probably the most cogent summary I have ever heard to describe the financial indentured servitude that enter willingly because they want to feel good about themselves.

It’s not true that wealthy people constantly talk about money. They talk about money in appropriate situations. Those situations are seldom in casual company and usually with professional advisors. What you maybe talking about is newly wealthy people.

Youtube has a cc option. Why do I need a word-for-word captioning option that cannot be shut off.

@sfriedman54

I actually have most of these habits, and use them. but life has been unkind. But these habits have also kept me from bankruptcy - so don't think these habits are just for building wealth. They're for survival, too. So let's turn survival into wealth building.

@GiaCatherineMotti

Oh yeah, all wealthy people are exactly the same and all poor people are exactly the same. Get the F out of here..

55yo. $6M net worth. I agree with most of this video - it’s simple stuff - but the one thing I disagree with is the car.

I bot a Tesla Model Y when they had the $7500 tax credit and Tesla offered 0% financing. While the financial deal was good enough as it came out to be cheaper than a comparable Camry…the real value is in the FSD.

The car drives for me most of the time these days. It makes my life much less stressful and safe…two items that are worth more than money itself.

@guslevy3506

How come this very frugal smart guy is shopping at Whole Foods which is so overpriced compared to Costco? 😂

Been acting broke most of my adult life. Got my 401K ramped up to 17% ROTH and a decent chunk of my take home pay after that also goes into savings/investing before I do anything else. Every time I've ever gotten a raise I reassess my new take home pay and see how much more I can squeeze into that saving/ivnesting plan. "Pay yourself first". i been living the habits for long time!
#1 always home prepared food from cheap or home land yard grown ingredients. fridge is full of stuff prepared beginning of week.
#2 going out only once or twice a month and even then not spending almost anything, small budget and home prepared food and drinks brought to the trip, only going to places that have free entry without requirement to buy something.
#3 getting nice looking but cheap things with saved money from second hand stuff stores and cheap online markets where all the things that look flashy but cost fraction of retail store cost, things that look identical to fancy store items but are made cheaper while being same quality!
#4 saving from all the useless expenses gave means to buy some practical home devices and items that middle class non-thinkers would take a loan for, family members been surprised of how much i can afford with these tactics, things that cost above one month income but last long time, average type, not too fancy.
#6 On top of all that still got leftover to put in savings each month about 60 dollars so called "rainy day stash"!

The best thing is that if you don’t waste money in your working life, you won’t waste it in retirement and can therefore retire much earlier if they wish.
