Honestly I don't care anymore, if they want to play games where women are actually men, then they can do whatever they want. The problem is the attempt to delist games like stellar blade, which is further radicalizing people against these women groups in real life. I am not happy to have women who are CONSTANLY thrown into Mainline games and then go on killing sprees. It is a largely male audience and female led games have been a thing for a long time but are far to common place now.

Eh. I like seeing side stories. It was awesome how Space Marine 2 handled it. It was awesome how Aliens vs Predator 2 (2001) handled it.
I saw the cube and sword and imediately thought this was a reference to D&D, which reminded me of Sigil. Not gonna lie, I thought that was cool. All the same, this game is one I can just as easily do without. I don't see how this is going to try anything new. I have Heavenly Sword which I've completed twice. Love that game. I have Asura's Wath. I have the orginal God of War games before they practically rebooted the lore to make Kratos a husband, again. I do have the first Dad of Boy, but I've not had any drive to play it. I can play/replay any of the games I have to not need any game being made, or have been made in the last 5-15 years. I am not starved for entertainment, meaning I can ignore a lot of "new" content.

In most cases additional material is being created, material that doesn't align with the original fanbase. That is entirely different. Thousands of video games are still available, more than a life time's worth of entertainment to engage with. If the "new" content isn't worthwhile, look to the past, or replay what you have. I don't know if it's fair to label Legendary Drops as a "Normie". He is keenly aware of the rot that has been going on for years. He's been speaking out and articulating on it, but I think he is not wanting to dive headlong into politics (like many of us gamers before far-left politics infected all aspects of life). Everyone saw the narrative of the reboot and Ragnarok and logically presumed that Atreus would eventually take the reigns as the main character in God of War. He was at least a Deuteragonist already. That would have been a far more reasonable direction to go if they wanted to take Kratos out of the spotlight. But instead we get a prequel narrative about Kratos' dead wife who we are supposed to accept as lead because of deeds we hear about in lore text and flashbacks of events that the player never experienced? Why?

This tells me it was more about putting her in the spotlight than it was shifting it off of Kratos. It's like planning a new Dragon Ball series with the Chi-Chi as the lead protagonist. If the plan was to replace Goku, the obvious choices are Vegeta or Gohan. Maybe even Goten and Trunks.

Make me project manager on GoW Laufey and I promise you would get a game worthy of the name God of War that would appeal to both men and sane women who are attracted to men.

I'd make her into a true Spartan wife, mid 20s, wielding a spear, and make her fighting style fluid, graceful and grounded rather than a carbon copy of Kratos.
