In reality bus 59 is supposed to be every ten minutes. I was actually there a week ago. (6/10/26).
If you are 65 or over buses, trams, metro are all free. Have passport or other picture I.D. ready. Otherwise buy the 72 hour ticket. Stay in Vinohrady at Union Hotel. Across the street from the tram. Also, Vinohrady is cool. Don't shop at the little hole-in-the wall places for food. They sell a lot of crap, and can be surly towards non-Czech speakers. From Union Hotel go North a half block and take a right into the underground market "Bily". They have everything you need. You may or may not have a fridge in your room. If in a double you can get a nice large room in front of the hotel with a great view. The AC was busted when I was there, so I would check on that if I were planning to go back in the warm months. End of May it was getting warm. There's a restaurant on '0' floor (street level). the staff are young friendly people. Prices are mid-level. 350 crowns is okay for a meal out, imo, but I'm not doing that every day. Self-catering can keep costs down. So can having a kitchenette. My other hotel had one. I could go on. Prague is my second home, in my mind. LOL.

In the second hour of visiting Stare Mesto I met the Legends themselves just by Café Husovka. Something made me go to the quietest courtyard in the centre of Prague just by Zlatá. Went around the corner found the cafe which was pretty decent and the boys appeared out of nowhere! This really made my day. Honza you are the Legend too, sorry I didn't say that about both of you when I met you. Felt kinda starstruck 😅 Apologies!
I was my moms personal guide, even though it was my first time in Prague as an adult. I couldn't be more prepared after watching so many of your videos. It was such an awesome day. Kudos to both of you! ❤ Many many thank for all your work

19:18 I got really excited about RegioJet after watching the reviews and wanted to book a bus ticket with them, but I failed. I tried 5 times with cards from different countries, but the payment just kept getting rejected. I asked Gemini (lol) about it and found out it's actually a known issue on their site if you're not using a Czech card. So I ended up buying it via Omio, which went without a hitch, by the way (it was just a euro more expensive)

Hey, as a gluten- and milk-intollerant, where can i try some traditional czech food? I mean as traditional as they can be with such allergene restrictions. Interested in beer too. Would be nice to see such a guide video for us gastrically challanged.
@ElectroPotatoPrague = Pricey. . Overpriced
@arnoldsadinmaa1443Eu Amei As dicas estarei indo mes que vem a Praga e tuas dicas me ajudaram bastante. ❤
@sebasthyaoandrade3054You say there’s no need for cash but aren’t most of the traditional places in the zoo crawl cash only?
@adrianblackhamthank you for the video , what do you recommend about phone services, which eSim do you recommend to use rather than activate your own line to use local network which cost about 10 dollars a day!? thank you
@samitammo3684We will be staying for 7 days, isnt it better if we get a monthly pass instead of 3+3+1 tickets ? its about the same cost.
@rical800Currently travelling around Europe and I’ve been my Monzo / Wise card to withdraw cash and tap. Some of the pubs mentioned on this channel, like U Zlatého tygra, are cash only.
Wise is an international bank that Monzo has partnered with, they charge like half a percent transaction fee to convert currency (I’ve been converting CAD). You can order a physical Wise card to use at bank ATMS (e.g. Air Bank or Fio Bank) and it doesn’t charge you an ATM fee like these Euronet ATMs do.
Only caveat is that there’s a limit on the amount of cash you can withdraw per currency per month without additional fees (6000 CZK for Czechia).
There is simply no one as honest as you 💯 . Visited Prague with my family few years back. Followed your advice to the T, and it has been one of the most memorable trips of our lives. Truly deeply thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
@richabhatia3110Are the ferries included in 24 hr ticket as well??
@SandhumalhiCan you recommend any familiy friendly hotels? They dont have to be in the middle of the town they can be like 5-8 kilometers away.
@danishbro3777we found the city center ... or roads leading to it clogged with traffic.... but found out new hang outs near our hotel... absolutely amazing city to visit....one of our favorite..... we were on a tailored group tour but still i was looking for u among the number of guides leading battalions of tourist around the castle....
@gokuldentalcare8085I am shocked by how the German media (which we are forced to fund through taxes and fees) has turned the Henry Nowak case into a story about how the far right is supposedly using it for its own agenda. It feels like in Germany, if you're white and willing to stand up for your constitutional rights, you're quickly labeled "rechtsextrem" (far-right) and associated with Nazis. If you're black, you fight for justice obviously. It's terrifing.
@cerealkiller1207With flights for my family (wife, 2 kids) for only around 250EU return this video has convinced me to go to Prague next year as our first 'explore a city' break. I've followed you for years but this has been some awesome condensed information that has given me the confidence to plan a trip that isn't a "package". The public transport looks especially convenient!
@NurofaenI can confirm that public transportation is better in Prague than is in Switzerland 😎😎😎
@oanaonyxThanks janek you guys are the best! Going to
Prague on 20th June for my 2nd time.
Your videos are AMAZING!!! Bravo!!
你人格分裂!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@610shinoThe ticket info will be helpful in my near future.
It's great that like Budapest Praha has the 3 day ticket too.
As a tourist that is a great deal.
Ya I saw a bus hit a tram last week. Was crazy.
@SubduedPenguin1Are drones allowed? Do you know any drone spots?
@ZisimosZizosKutna Hora mentioned. KCD2 monkey brain activated.
@Maple_CanadianThis is litteraly the most helpful and honest travelguide ever saw! This would help me a lot when I'm going to the rest of Czech and Prague this summer😁
@christenhove5713I am from Warsaw, Poland, which I have always said is like Prague without all the tourists (seriously, what attracts tourists to Prague but not to Warsaw?) and throughout the years, I had heard about how cheap Prague is and that it's so cheap that beer is cheaper than water. I traveled there in 2023 and it quickly dawned on me that everyone thinks it's cheap because they come from expensive countries. Prague at the time was WAY more expensive than Warsaw and today, both cities boast Switzerland-level prices for a lot of things. I also must be the only tourist who could not find beer that was cheaper than water in the same place in Prague, leading me to believe that this is a myth, but I'd also love to be proven wrong and see for myself a place where that's the case. I love Prague and Warsaw and recommend both cities. 🇨🇿🇵🇱
@sagbon98When we visited in 2019 , we used many of your suggestions ( OK we used all of them😬) had a blast , great meals and fantastic beers. I was wondering if you are still recommending “Pork” restaurant? ( asking for a friend)
@B1gzHercAs a german I can just laugh about us being listed as #1 in the public transport.
Looking forward to heading over to a weekend in prague in september, you successfully influenced me into doing it after like 2 years!
Regarding the ice cream, in the US we have what’s called “soft serve“ ice cream, which is actually not ice cream either. It is tasty and millions of people love it and we also have actual ice cream. So I think it’s fine to eat whichever one you like.
@hd4100enjoyed meeting you and your daughter at Lokal a couple of weeks ago, wish I had seen your channel before going to Prague
@craigharbauer389Prague is still amazing. But pretending cash has completely disappeared from real life feels a bit too ‘tourist bubble’
@yanakirschkoWell 5yrs watching you here on YouTube we finally made it to prague and all that knowledge you've shared omg did it come in handy you are just brilliant from the moment we walked outside the airport we were approached by the dodgy taxi drivers and we knew what they were doing taking people over the road into the car park and then over charging I even listened to one person asking how much to the city the taxi driver said by the meter we met this couple the next morning in the town they told me taxi was 80euro mmm how wrong is that did you say around 28euro from the airport to the city🤔 then there was the money scammer outside mustek metro station trying to exchange money the people just walked off good 😂 and omg what was going on with them mini mart shops 849kc for six 1ltr water 😮 even the restaurants in the old town square like you said were expensive so a little walk down the side streets thats where we found food and drink a lot cheaper not once did we get ripped off and all because of you and hansa thank you for all your good advice ❤ we are definitely coming back ❤❤❤
@sam-c9u6igood video
@derWeltenlenkerNo offense, but these videos are starting to feel copy-pasted every season. Same shots, same trdelník, same warnings...
@TomášJuřík-c4hChimney stacks are the bomb but I can't get them at the renn faire, only pastries I've never seen for travel
@jacobpritchard4326How is Prage at night?
@ɣɔəɛɣɣɔɛəɔɣəɛɔɔɣɛəɣɔɛLiberec hotel is a retrofuturistic dream and the surrounding Liberec is a nature dream (was there in October)
Also first time in 35 years I heard someone (a Czech! from Prague!) recommending a trip to Brno
This video don’t have enough views but it is REALLY ESSENTIAL if you plan to come to Prague!!!
My experience was waaaay better when I went to places Honest Guide recommended ❤❤
Thank you guys for your hard work every week ! 🔥
Always Remember: Prague isn t cheap neither in Food nor in Beer. Its getting more and more like Bavarian prices. But in Bavaria you do not need to Change in Euros and the Quality is better. Janek and Honza is invited to come to beautiful Andechs for example.
