I’m making the choice today to be the man I want to be. I’m in a career path I don’t enjoy, I’m heartbroken from a relationship I thought would last forever, I’m stuck making bad decisions and continuing to make bad habits, feeling trapped and depressed every day. I feel like I've wasted so much time trying to pretend I'm content with where I am. I'm not scared of dying, I'm scared of dying and telling myself "that wasn't fun".
So I'm calling the school I hope will lead me to my dream job today and see where it takes me. I'm not going to half ass it, and I'm not going to stop until I wake up feeling excited actually happy.
I keep telling myself "I'm not ready" or "I can't do it right now". But theres never going to be a time I'm ready. I tell myself "I have time to figure it out. I can wait another year". But I don't have that time. I can't keep waiting.

@atikur_akrLmao 0:52 is so foreign being raised in a family of salespeople. When I told them that I wouldn’t just say “I can do it” to every single thing just because that was what they did to get where they’re at they were like “No, you can’t do that!”
Then I told them that in my line of work that would put me into prison they were like, “Wait, really?” And I’m like, yeah, you can’t just bluff your way when you’re doing mission critical engineering work since lives are at stake they’re like, “Oh, okay…”

The truth is you can't have a discussion and say it's the most valuable 20 minutes of your life if you're not talking about Jesus Christ. And he barely mentioned religion and didn't even quantify if there was a real heaven or not. Just about making your life here better. Well life here is going to be a blank. Eternity is forever. Don't guess but no where. You're going to spend eternity. All the other stuff he said is fine but it doesn't mean anything if you don't have a personal relationship with the one who made you. And the one who made you is Jesus Christ. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. John 1:1. Then it goes on to say he was with God in the beginning and nothing was made that was not made by him. In him was the light of men and the light shown in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. And then down in verse 13 I believe it says in the word was made flesh. That is Jesus. Talking about recognizing and getting to know Jesus will be the most valuable 20 minutes you've ever spent in your life and at the end of the day it doesn't even take 20 minutes. It just takes a minute or two in prayer and a humble heart to give your life to him. And if you want to talk about meaning and purpose, that's how you get it for. You can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens you.

I'm shaped by their faults and wish they could've got up. They never did. I did. every scratch in the pans are mine. Every coat of paint. All the clothes. All their things. Their business, Everything and after 32 years i cannot go another step. I have a new engine and transmission in my GMT800 truck and I'm about to take an extended vacation. Hoping but I'm not waiting anymore.

Whether you're 18, or 75, GO THROUGH IT. It's men's mental health awareness. It's important to reflect on where we've been. I've had those low low's, I have had times depressive thoughts, days I couldn't get out of bed, Some of them within the best years of my life. I doubted myself more than any one else ever doubted me. I always found the path by GOING THROUGH IT. Hold firm to what you believe, build the life you want. It IS your life. Period. If people can't get on board, FUCK THEM. Not literally of course, but fuck what they say. Nobodies opinion of you is any of your business, the only opinion that truly holds weight is yours and the ones you choose to love. I started working in fast food, worked my way into management, knew I didn't wanna do it forever but learned everything I could, when the time felt right I moved on, Worked at a quick lube changing oil on cars, worked my way into management again, learned the business, knew it wouldn't be forever but it was my RIGHT THEN, so I swam through it and absorbed it through my pores. Found HVAC 12 years ago, could hardly read a tape measure but threw myself into it. Now I just started a Service division of my best friends Energy business, He sells oil, and I work on and fix the burners that burn said oil. If I never went through it, I wouldn't be where I am! OWN IT. LIVE IT. BREATH IT. LEARN ALL YOU CAN. AND REMEMBER, YOU CAN DO THIS. You're not dumb, you're not shy of just enough. You are everything you believe you are meant to be. It all starts with your mindset. Make your bed, brush your teeth, love your family, stay true to what you believe.
